Story
Maggie and Bella are very sweet girls who must be adopted as a bonded pair (adoption fee is for pair). Bella is the longhaired tortie and Maggie is the shorthaired calico. Maggie and Bella lived their entire lives outside in Vermillion, but they were taken inside by their foster mom last winter during one of the bitter cold spells. They both love being inside with all of the luxuries that entails - food, snacks, toys, companionship. They will both make you smile with their unique personalities and mannerisms.
Bella is a beautiful goofy fluffball. She LOVES if someone uses a wand toy to play with her. She will sit in your lap if placed there and enjoys being petted. She especially likes taking naps during the day in her hammock type raised bed in front of the window or in the heated cat bed.
Maggie is an adorable, quirky little cat with a permanent head tilt, presumably from an untreated ear mite infection, and she now has a clean bill of health. Maggie has a cute trill/murmur when she's content. She loves lounging in a sunny windowsill on a warm sunny day, watching the birds and squirrels outside while sunning herself, or snoozing in the heated cat bed. She also enjoys You Tube cat videos of birds. Rather than wand toys, Maggie prefers her ball in track toy or playing with balls, on her own. Maggie enjoys being scratched on her head, cheeks, and chin, and will quietly purr. She is very cute and affectionate when she's being petted, or in anticipation of snackies (dry food).
Bella and Maggie would do best in a fairly quiet home without too much commotion. They need someone with a little patience as they adjust go a new environment and person/people. However, if you use a wand toy to play with Bella, or sit on the floor to give them snackies, they will come up to you to be petted, and they will get to know you and their new home in no time. As with all cat introductions to new homes, we recommend starting them out in a 'safe room' where they can make their adjustment more quickly and with less stress. Bella and Maggie will be wonderful companions for someone. They get along with other cats as long as the other cats are amenable to getting along with them.
Bella is approximately 4 years old, and Maggie 8 years old. They have been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, received dentals including tooth removal, and a pre-dental blood test for Maggie.
