Domestic Shorthair kittens & cats in Hastings, Minnesota

*** Currently in a foster home. Can be met with an approved application. *** I'm Echo and I came to Animal Ark thanks to a very nice lady who took me in when I was living in a community with other cats. I'm about 3 years old, a petite brown tabby who is on the quiet side. I have had several roommates at Animal Ark and adjusted well. I don't know how I would do with dogs or children. Because of my shy demeanor, a mellow setting might suit me best. My former foster family says I am curious, playful, and very social. I also an excellent companion when they work from home!

I'm a pretty Calico gal who is still trying to adjust to Shelter life. Pippi is what they call me, and I was a pregnant stray who was taken in by a nice lady until they found a spot for me at Animal Ark. I'm 5 years old and extremely shy with new situations. I was actually living in a heated cat house under a covered patio after I was found. So this is all brand new to me. I don't know how I would do with other animals and I probably should not live with children because that would be too much activity. I gave birth to 3 adorable kittens. Elsa, Kiara and Belle are weaned and on their own so my work is done. I'm still a "work in progress" but looking for a patient home that will allow me time to adjust at my own pace.

I'm really confused right now. Polly is my name and my owner passed away quite a while ago. Several members of the family have tried to keep me, but I really haven't been able to find the right spot yet. I'm a black female who is 7 years old and I'm very shy. I take quite a while to warm up to new people and don't want to be petted unless I know you. I should be the only pet in my new home, as I don't do well with other animals or children. A quiet, mature environment with very patient people would be my best fit. Once I do get comfortable with you, I like to play!

I'm used to walking on the "wild side" so being at Animal Ark has been a real adjustment for me. I was running loose outside the Shelter and they were finally able to get me in out of the cold. I'm named Merlot and I'm a timid and shy black female who is 4 years old. My new home will have to have understanding people who will give me lots of space and time to acclimate to new surroundings, at my own pace. A quiet setting would suit me best without children or lots of activity. If you're willing to give me a chance, I'll take it!

My name is River because I was found at Three Rivers Trailer Park! I'm a sweet brown tabby female who is 1 year old. I'm glad to be inside, where I'm safe from predators and nasty weather. No one knows how I would do with other animals or children The staff has found me to be friendly and happy. What more could you ask for?

I'm a petite black female who came to Animal Ark with babies on board! Spirit is my name and I became a mom to four precious kittens soon after my arrival at the shelter. The kids are on their own now, and I am ready for a new home without dogs where I can show my affectionate, playful nature. I'm estimated to be 4 years old, but I'm as playful as a kitten! Staff and volunteers have found me to be very playful--I'll chase toys around--but I'm also an affectionate lap cat who enjoys being stroked and caressed. Come meet me and you are guaranteed to be smitten by my charm!

Freddy is a very sweet boy. He loves to sit in a lap and cuddle. He likes to watch birds out the window. Freddy is young and still playful. Freddy is terrified of dogs. He once scratched up his foster mom because dogs nearby were barking and he thought he was going to be hurt. Freddy was found outside but had clearly belonged to someone once. He did have an entropian eyelid that was surgically repaired when he was neutered. He is just fine now. Please come meet Freddy. Call 952 855-6495.

Charles's approximate date of birth is June 2, 2021. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/Felv and he has a registered microchip. His adoption fee is $275.00 + tax. What are you most looking for in an adopter? I am looking for someone who will love me unconditionally forever and give me a ton of pets and head scratches! I love giving and receiving affection and will purr and knead sometimes with just a look. 2. What do you think is important for a healthy human cat relationship? I think trust is very important both ways. I need to trust that a human will forever provide safety, love, toys, comfort, and a trip to the doctor if I ever don't feel good. My human can trust me to be kind and comforting when they need it too. 3. What is the best gift you've ever received? I would say my foster mama bringing me indoors from the scary outdoors. Also my mouse toys. I love those things. 4. Are you more of an introvert or extrovert? I would say I am 90% extroverted because everyone needs a little alone time every now and then. Sometimes if there is a loud noise or unpredicted movement I will be scared for a few seconds, but I bounce back quickly. 5. Do you have any pet peeves? When a human picks me up unexpectedly and forcefully. It scares me and then I look like a crazy cat when I react. I don't mind being picked up, I just want to know when it's happening. 6. How do you prefer to relax in your free time? I enjoy taking naps with Sky, laying on a window shelf, and making biscuits. 7. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Both. I can be awake and alert with my human in the morning in no time, but sometimes I also enjoy kicking around my mouse toys and chasing a ball at midnight. I don't do it for long though because I know everyone is sleeping. 8. Is there anything you are scared of? The outdoors and unpredictable things like loud noises and movements. 9. If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring with you? Unlimited canned food, I love that stuff! My sister Sky and my mouse toys. 10. Would you relocate for the perfect adopter? Absolutely! My foster mama lives in the middle of nowhere and she said she is willing to give me a ride anywhere for the perfect human. 11. What is your most favorite food? Any canned food really, but I especially like chicken and tuna. 12. How much alone time do you typically need? Not much, I love being around humans and getting pets. Every now and then I will snuggle with Sky when she needs alone time just to be loving and supportive. 13. Have you ever lived with another cat or a dog? Yes. I was born outside and lived with a handful of other big cats and also my family. I like living with other cats, especially my sister Sky. My foster mama introduced me to a dog and he was big but nice, and I think I could live with a dog as long as they are nice. 14. Who is your best friend and why are they your best friend? My best friend is my sister Sky. She is my best friend because she plays with me, comforts me and snuggles with me. We have always been there for each other and I think we would be lost without each other. 15. What is a non-negotiable that you need in an adopter? I need my human to be my forever human. I never want to live outside ever again and I have heard how scary shelters are, I never want to go there. I also need my human to understand that I may be a little scared when I move in at first, but I promise as soon as we establish trust I will be their best friend! 16. Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself? I am a good girl and promise you won't be disappointed if you adopt me! I always use the bathroom box, keep my fur clean and pretty, and don't scratch furniture and only use my scratchers. I am a biscuit making queen and love it so much I will knead anything, even the floor!
