Story
Meet Locke – A Special Boy Looking for a Special Home Locke is a 9–10 month old sweetheart with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This goofy, playful guy has been through more than most in his life, but you’d never know it—he’s full of love, energy, and snuggles. Locke is FeLV positive (Feline Leukemia Virus), which can sound scary at first, but we encourage anyone interested to do their own research. There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and his most recent bloodwork shows that with a safe indoor environment and proper care, he has the potential to live a long, happy life just like any other cat. Here’s what makes Locke amazing: - **Funny and playful** – he’s always ready to chase a toy or goof around - **Super cuddly** – with humans and even dogs! He absolutely loves to snuggle - **Food motivated** – mealtime is his favorite time - **Resilient and loving** – despite everything he’s been through, his heart is wide open Due to his FeLV+ status, Locke hasn’t been around other cats while in rescue, but he’s shown he can be great with dog friends! He was with cats up until he was brought into rescue at 5 months old, and if he wasn’t FeLV+, likely would have been a bonded pair with another cat he came in with who was negative. He’s ready to find his forever person or family who will give him the love and safety he deserves. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion with a huge heart and a silly side, Locke might just be your perfect match. *More information and photos added over time. *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our adoptable animals can be seen by appointment. FOSTER CARE: Our rescues are fostered in individual homes or at our facility. We work hard to ensure that our rescues have a supportive family while at foster homes to help them move forward and get ready for their forever home. We work on training, crate-training and socialization before an animal is adopted out. Foster homes are extremely important to the success of the cat at their forever home, and it is extremely rewarding to be able to watch the cats growth as you help them on their journey to their happy ending. YOU CAN HELP: If you’re not able to foster or adopt right now, please consider sponsoring a Legend. Your donation will help with our care and pay for medical costs. Meet Humphrey! This young kitten is ready for his next chapter! He is a little shy, but has started to flourish with other cats and dogs in the house. Humphrey has been great with other dogs and cats. He does take a little bit of time to come around to new folks, but really is growing into himself. He has really enjoyed having other cats or dogs in the home, but likely could be successful as an only-cat if there's enough else for him to interact with! He'd love to join your home! *We only adopt and foster our animals within a 60 mile radius from New Brighton, MN* All of our adoptable animals can be seen by appointment. Story
Winston is a great cat who needs a new quieter home. Winston loves to look outside and watch squirrels and birds through a window. He loves to play with feather toys and chase laser pointers. He cuddles on a blanket and has a great purr. We have had Winston since was 2 months old but our family has grown (two small children and a dog and another cat) over the last eight years. Winston has developed anxiety and takes a daily Fluoxetine pill but still has issues going outside of the litter box. He needs a new home that does not have children and potentially no other animals. He gets nervous with big changes so the new home needs to be patient and willing to help him take his medication. He is a sweet boy and a wonderful cat who needs a space that makes him feel safe. He will return the new owner with lots of cute play, cuddles, purring and affection.

Story
Flick came to Cause for Paws on 1/2/2026. He was 7 months at the time. He had an injury on his foot that we tried to treat with medication and also a broken bone on that foot. The wound was not responding to the medication so the only other option was to remove the leg. While he only has 3 legs you would hardly know it!! He is a lap cat and loves hanging around you when you are sitting on the couch. Flick is a very sweet cat. He has met other adult cats but hasn't found the right match. He likes to play rough which does not go over very well with some of the other cats in his foster home. He has been around a dog and seems to do o.k. Flick probably would do o.k. in a home with a well-behaved dog. Flick would do well as an only cat or in a home with a kitten. He has very little mobility issues. Flick has no problem jumping up on the couch or bed, using stairs or getting on low scratching posts. He uses the litterbox without any issues. The only thing he does struggle with is high vertical cat towers without easy levels when jumping down. There are no children in his foster home so we do not know how he will do with children. Flick is an energetic boy and would be a wonderful addition to a home where he can get a lot of attention. If you would like to meet Flick please call us at our voicemail at 952-259-1483 and leave your name and telephone number or email us at cause4paws@hotmal.com His adoption fee is $225 (includes tax)

Story
Meet Tabitha. Tabitha is about 3 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, felv/fiv tested negative. Tabitha is a little shy at first but once she is comfortable with her surroundings she is quite affectionate and a lap cat. She doesn't do well with other cats but does well with well mannered dogs. Tabitha is a very active and curious cat. She was adopted and returned because of her activity level. She will open kitchen cabinets to see what's inside. For more information on Tabitha, please contact Cause for Paws at cause4paws@hotmail.com or leave a message on our voice mail at 952-259-1483.

Story
Mewsette was born approximately 8/21/2025. She was 10 weeks of age when she was found in the middle of the road. Mewsette loves to play with her buddy, Figaro and cuddle with one of the other adult foster cats. She even gets along with the crazy foster dog. Mewsette is a door dasher and runs to the door everytime it is opened. As a result, Mewsette cannot go to a home with children under the age of 8. She loves the kitty tease, laser pointer and anything else she can batt around. Mewsette has a lot of energy and can be a very busy girl. Due to her energy level, she needs another kitten or young cat in her new home. She wants to be where you are even if means you are in the shower. Her favorite thing to do is be your sidekick. She will lay in your lap to cuddle and purr the whole time. Mewsette would love a home where she can get a lot of attention and love. If you are interested in adopting Mewsette, plesae call our voicemail at 952-259-1483 and leave your name and phone number or you can email cause4paws@hotmail.com Her adoption fee is $225 (includes tax)
