Story
April was rescues from AVAS high kill shelter, literally as they had needle in hand to euthanize her! We arrived in the nick of time to save her life. We personally adopted her on behalf of an adopter. The adopter then backed out and now April needs a forever home. April is a light brindle Dutch shepherd, she is up to date on all shots, microchipped, and spayed. April is a young adult, however the shelter did not know her exact age their estimate was between 1-2 years old. April super loving and playful once she gets past her scared shell. April will need time to decompress, feel safe, and loved. April is kennel/crate trained but desires to be a house dog. April has a kennel mate, who was also adopted at the same time who she mothers (he’s a puppy). April gets along good with other dogs, when they get to excited and over barring she does put them in their place. I have a 3 year old and while she is scared of him she is also loving with him. April will do well w/lots of ♥

Aldean gets along great with all other dogs and loves to rough house with the 80 pound huskies. I have a 3 year old, Aldean loves him but like all puppy sometimes gets to playfully rough. Aldean will do well with a high energy family who likes adventures, walks, or hikes etc…

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Approximately 4-5 year old Esme is part of a pack of dogs that lived in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter. Esme was rescued with a few others in September 2020 but spent almost a year in boarding since there were no open fosters. Finally, in the summer of 2021 Esme was able to get into a foster home.Over the last few months, Esme has been learning what it's like to truly be a dog. She loves napping and chewing a good bone. Esme hasn't been around kids before, but she is very relaxed and hasn't ever shown any type of aggression. She is very shy with humans and apprehensive of new people. On the other hand, she completely comes out of her shell with other dogs. She loves hopping around and playing with the other pups in her foster home. She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs of all sizes and ages, as well as cats. She hasn't had a problem with any of the other pets.Esme will definitely need a special home, with a family that will be patient with her while she continues to grow and learns how to trust humans. She will likely never be super social with humans, so a fairly mellow home with at least 1 other dog is ideal. Esme does enjoy walks and walks nicely on a leash. She is crate trained, but not house trained. If you can be that patient and loving home for this special girl, please apply to adopt Esme today.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 22, 2024, 1:39 pm

Story
My name is Jessie. I was adopted as a puppy. The lady who adopted me was normal then. I was one of the first 13. She then started collecting dogs with physical issues. I only have 3 legs. I don't know I only have 3 legs but I do. Anyway, she became a hoarder. Another group of rescue ladies finally got animal control to go to the house. They found dead dogs and dogs living in horrible conditions. We were all taken. The rescuers found all the rescues that had adopted these dogs and returned them. I was there for another 90 days. I was one of her original 13 so she was able to appeal me. The judge denied her appeal and back to this rescue I came. You can look up the case if you google chandler 55 dog abuse case. My foster mom adores me. She knows I deserve a home with less dogs. I live to go in the car. I would love to just drive all day. I also love non salted In N Out patties. I love all my dog friends. I like to go out and run with them. If they get too annoying I just give them a quick growl. I am all about kissing my foster mom. My foster mom cannot believe I have not been adopted yet. She says I am the perfect traveling dog.

These pups are in Colton, California too!
