Story
Brindle, bright-eyed, and full of heart, Diesel is the best mix of athlete and goofball. He loves people, makes soft eye contact, and is eager to work for treats or toys-classic Dutchie! His favorite toy is a blue & pink rugby ball. He has done well meeting friendly dogs with proper introductions and respectful play. He gets excited fast and will need someone to give him proper outlet and structure. We recommend a working-breed-savvy, active home that enjoys training and enrichment. Teens/older kids who can participate in his routine could work; cats are unknown. After activity, he settles nicely and leans in for affection-loyal, attentive, and ready to be someone's shadow. If you've been looking for a smart partner to adventure with and train, this boy is your guy. Quick highlights 1.5 years old, Dutch Shepherd (brindle male) • Social, affectionate, toy & food motivated (loves fetch) • Enjoys hikes/runs/training games • Dog-friendly with proper intro; cats unknown • Best with shepherd-savvy, active adopters Diesel is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He's currently located in Vallejo CA

Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-1/2-year-old beautiful and sweet Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and an endearing face. I was rescued from a Los Angeles-area shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me - for about two years! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs. I would probably thrive as an only dog where I could get all of the attention, or hang out with a submissive male. I love to be with people and I love to shake a paw! I weigh 68 pounds. Can you foster or adopt me? I really want a home. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to you in Northern Cal. Please email for an application.

Story
Obie (short for Old Boy) is a sweet old boy looking for a comfy couch to call his own. He has a beautiful fluffy coat that he enjoys a nice brushing of. Obie is a quiet and dignified couch potato. He is fine with everyone but particularly loves men. He loves ear scratches and a nice snooze. Obie is currently on medication for seizures. He takes this medication twice a day and it has greatly reduced his occurrence of seizures. He takes his medications easily if hidden in cream cheese, sour cream or yogurt. Obie is house trained with a doggie door right now. He enjoys spending his afternoons outside relaxing. He can be scared by loud things like fireworks but has done well with CBD as needed for this very specific anxiety. Obie does not really care for treats or toys. Treats he has enjoyed for training include lamb roast, mashed potatoes and eggs. He thinks vegetables are yucky. He seems to have been new to dog food but has taken to it well with some patience. Obie previously lived with another large dog and got along well with her. She would even snap at him sometimes and he would not really react. He simply wanted to be her friend. We also believe Obie will be fine with mannerly children. He has met toddlers and takes care to not knock them over. When meeting cats indoors, Obie was excited but did not necessarily exhibit high prey drive. He allowed his foster mom to call him back as she removed the cat. When he sees cats outdoors he like to try to chase them, though this is true of most dogs (even those that live with cats). All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for private and/or group training at no additional cost to help ensure a successful adoption. To meet Obie, fill out our short adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Once an application is filled out, our volunteers will reach out to you within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet and greet.

Story
Say hello to Cruz -- a spirited young pup with energy to spare and a zest for life that's downright contagious! This playful adventurer loves to run, romp, and make every moment exciting. He's still mastering the art of walking nicely on leash, but with his sharp mind and eagerness to learn, he's ready to keep growing into the superstar companion he's meant to be. Cruz is still growing -- both in size and smarts -- and he'd love a home that will help him keep learning more and more to fill that big, brilliant head of his. He can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but give him a moment (and maybe a tasty snack or two -- he's a total foodie!) and you'll have a loyal buddy for life. With the right mix of activity, guidance, and love, Cruz will thrive and bring endless fun, laughter, and tail wags to his forever home.

Story
It is with great sadness that we must seek a new, dedicated home for our wonderful dog, Bear. Once Bear bonds with you, he is an incredibly loyal, funny, and profoundly cuddly companion who brings immense joy to the people he loves. He is truly a great dog who is a pleasure to have around the house. Bear has demonstrated barking behavior around strangers and anxiety when unfamiliar people enter our home or personal space. Because our household frequently has people we don't know coming and going, we are unable to give him the low-traffic, consistent structure he needs. We are looking for a home that can provide a calm, low-visitor environment. We are devastated to see him go and believe that with the right commitment to management and ongoing training, Bear will be the most loyal and loving best friend anyone could ask for.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Coco – Your Gentle Giant of Joy! Breed: German Shepherd Mix Age: 3 years old &#226&#154&#150&#239&#184&#143 Weight: 78 lbs Looking for a loyal, goofy, and love-filled companion? Meet Coco, a sweet and gentle soul who’s full of curiosity and affection. With his warm heart and playful energy, Coco brings sunshine into every room he enters. Coco is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and loves having fur-siblings to romp around with. Though he isn’t bonded to his current foster brothers, he thrives in a home with fellow four-legged friends and would be overjoyed to have a playmate or two. He’s smart, eager to please, and has recently completed clicker training with Stacy Braslau-Schneck of Stacy’s Wag’nTrain – helping him focus even in distracting or stressful situations. Coco already knows several commands and enjoys interactive play that challenges both his body and brain. When he gets a little too excited, this clever boy knows just what to do – he tucks himself under the kitchen table for a self-imposed time-out to recharge. Coco is completely house-trained, loves car rides, and is working on walking politely on a leash (he just can’t help wanting to greet everyone he sees!). Despite his size and age, he doesn’t need long hikes to burn energy – two short walks a day and playtime with pup pals are plenty for this balanced boy. If you’re looking for a dog who sees the best in everyone, has a heart full of love, and a personality that keeps you smiling, Coco might just be your perfect match. Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Coco is waiting to meet you!
