Story
Brindle, bright-eyed, and full of heart, Diesel is the best mix of athlete and goofball. He loves people, makes soft eye contact, and is eager to work for treats or toys-classic Dutchie! His favorite toy is a blue & pink rugby ball. He has done well meeting friendly dogs with proper introductions and respectful play. He gets excited fast and will need someone to give him proper outlet and structure. We recommend a working-breed-savvy, active home that enjoys training and enrichment. Teens/older kids who can participate in his routine could work; cats are unknown. After activity, he settles nicely and leans in for affection-loyal, attentive, and ready to be someone's shadow. If you've been looking for a smart partner to adventure with and train, this boy is your guy. Quick highlights 1.5 years old, Dutch Shepherd (brindle male) • Social, affectionate, toy & food motivated (loves fetch) • Enjoys hikes/runs/training games • Dog-friendly with proper intro; cats unknown • Best with shepherd-savvy, active adopters Diesel is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He's currently located in Vallejo CA

Story
Ronnie is a loving, loyal and obedient 3 year old dutch shephard who is being raised with my 3 children ranging in age from 7 - 16. She was found on our doorstep when she was ~5 weeks old and we've been raising her ever since with our lab who is 4 years old. She plays off-leash daily and is well socialized. She is crate trained and house-broken and knows basic commands.

Story
Kelbi (aka Clover) is a stunning brindle German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart for her people. She is incredibly loyal, loving, and happiest when she’s close to her favorite humans — whether that means following you from room to room, curling up nearby, or trying to convince you she’s actually lap-sized. She’s the kind of dog who forms a deep bond and wants to be part of everything you do, including bathroom trips.   Kelbi is smart, playful, and knows her basic commands well. She loves playing fetch off leash, tug-of-war, and entertaining herself with her favorite toys. She also does well playing with small dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. At night, she sleeps peacefully at the foot of the bed with her beloved stuffed security toy, “Stuffi,” always nearby. One of her cutest quirks is her signature look — usually one ear up and one ear down, unless she’s alert and both ears pop straight up at attention.   Like many shepherds, Kelbi is naturally protective and devoted to her people. She would thrive with someone who understands the breed, appreciates her loyal nature, and wants a true companion by their side. Kelbi has so much love to give and is looking for someone who will love her just as deeply in return. ##2547614##

Hello everyone! We have neutered, 5-month-old, German Shepherd mix puppies! They will likely grow to be between 75-85lbs as adults.  They are high energy, vocal pups who can't wait to make new friends and learn about the world. They would thrive most with a family with dog savvy kids that is familiar with working breeds and is prepared to continue working on training and socialization. They are active young puppies and will need lots and lots of exercise, mental stimulation, and of course, love! If you are looking to add some fluff into your life, just ask Customer Service about these puppies! Story
Check out my video! Well, hello! My name is Zelda and I'm a spayed female, 2 year old, German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix who currently weighs around 62 lbs. I'm an energetic and effervescent girl that LOVES to play in the water! I would be the perfect companion to beach goers, river rafters or sprinkler hoppers! I'm a girl who feels the call of the wild! I'm a boisterous gal that prefers to be outdoors exploring. I'm hoping to continue honing my social skills and impulse control with an active, loving family. I can't wait to meet everyone in the household including any resident dogs before I head home. Just ask Customer Service about Zelda ID# A0955664 I recently spent some time with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: I took Zelda to the rooftop yard for her morning TLC. She gets very excited about going to the yard - she absolutely loves fetch and is an expert at it. Zelda is also quite an affectionate girl - she enjoys rubs and love. I make sure to give her lots of affection when we return to the dorm. Good girl!Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Story
Hello there, I'm Dahlia! I'm a spayed female, 2-year-old, Pitbull/ German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 52lbs. I'm a sweet, curious lady that would love to go home with a family with kids 10 years or older that has experience with shy gals like me. My new family should also be prepared to continue my training since I'm still working on my doggy social skills and learning to share. If you have a mellow resident dog, please bring him or her in so we can say hello before I officially join the family! I would love to meet the whole household before going to a home, so come on by and say hi! For more information, just ask Customer Service about me. Dahlia ID#A0959886 I recently went on a field trip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: Dahlia started our journey to Golden Gate park with a drive through the city in my Jeep. Dahlia was very well-behaved on the ride. Staying in the back as we drove; listening to tunes and enjoying the sun and the breeze. I had the roof panels off and she enjoyed the wind on her face as we made our way to the park. She was apprehensive at the start of our hike. It was a warm, sunny day and the park was bustling. As we made our way past pickup basketball and volleyball games, playgrounds and picnics; her caution turned to curiosity. She is a a great hiker, never pulling at the end of the lead and coming back to my side when I called her. She enjoyed cooling off in the ponds that we passed and admired the statues and sculptures. She wouldn’t drink water out of the travel bowl that I packed, but was fine drinking out of the lid to my Nalgene. I recommend either a larger travel bowl or a hard sided style in the future. We were in the park for a few hours and she had a blast. She napped on the ride back to the shelter and she seemed to know the way back to her dorm. She did give me that “where are you going?” look as I gave a wave through the window as I left. She is a sweet gal and was very well behaved. She is an able hiker and knows her name and recalls easily when asked.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.  You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by.
