Story
Age: 3 to 5 Years Sex: Male Size: Medium Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: No Good With Children: Yes Come meet Jett, a gentle, easy-going adult German Shepherd. This sweet boy is on the smaller side for a German Shepherd. Jett’s brindle coloring lead us to believe he might have some Dutch ancestry in his lineage. Since joining our foster program, Jett enjoys spending time outside in the grass with his foster family watching the world go. When that gets a little too boring he is excited to take the show on the road and go for a nice long walk. He has quickly settled into his foster home. When meeting new people, Jett is inquisitive and approaches with a mix of curiosity and enthusiasm. When meeting other dogs, Jett takes a low-key approach. He is happy to make their acquaintance but is not looking to get too rowdy. He loves attention and especially ear rubs. Jett was originally found as a stray in Essex County prior to coming into our foster program. Jet loves to play and has become good friends with Jewel. If you want to meet this not quite “big ol’ Jett airliner, and carry him to his home”, please reach out to us at contact@sedonashepherd.com or fill out an online adoption application.  January 17, 2026, 4:30 pm

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm

Meet Pete! Dutch Shepherd/Black Labrador Retriever/terrier mix, only 2 years old, 60 lbs, and filled with joyous energy! Pete enjoys playing with toys and exploring the backyard. Story
Meet Dottie Lonestar Dottie Lonestar is a 3½-year-old sweetheart with a soft soul and a heart full of love. Rescued as a stray, her past is a mystery—but what we do know is that her future can be absolutely wonderful. Dottie is mom to a litter of puppies that have already traveled to NJ and have been adopted through Eleventh Hour Rescue.  They include Moon, Micah, Mason, Madie & Magoo.  Now, it's Mom's turn!  Dottie is a gentle, well-mannered girl who takes treats delicately, never jumps on people, and loves to lean in close for pets and attention. She’s shy when meeting new people and needs a little time to build trust, but once she settles in, she blossoms into a happy, relaxed, and affectionate companion. She does great with other dogs and would feel most comfortable in a home with a confident canine buddy to help her feel secure. In nice weather, Dottie loves being outside—trotting around the yard, keeping an eye out for squirrels, and taking in all the day’s happenings. Dottie is crate trained and very comfortable with her routine. She sleeps in her crate at night, puts herself to bed around 8:30–9:00 pm, and happily goes in and out during the day for naps. She even eats her meals in her crate and will patiently wait there at feeding time like the good girl she is. Dottie Lonestar is looking for a calm, patient home where she can continue to grow in confidence and be loved for the gentle gem she is. If you’re ready to give her the bright future she deserves, apply to adopt today—Dottie is ready to meet her forever family. (Breed Mix is a guess based on looks and character.  We would love for Dottie's family to do a DNA Test & see how it comes out.)  Dottie is microchipped, spayed and current on her vaccines. Her adoption fee is $415.  Apply to adopt DOTTIE LONESTAR at www.ehrdogs.org         (function () { // Only on animal detail pages if (!/\/animals\/detail/i.test(location.pathname)) return; // Debounce to avoid double-fire (touchend + click, etc.) var lastNavAt = 0; function toFullSize(url) { try { var u = new URL(url, location.href); u.searchParams.delete('width'); u.searchParams.delete('height'); return u.toString(); } catch (e) { return url || ''; } } function looksLikeAnimalPhoto(url) { return /\/pictures\/animals\/\d+\/\d+\/[^?#]+\.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif)/i.test(url || ''); } function handler(e) { var el = e.target; if (!el) return; // Find the closest anchor or image in the click path var a = el.closest ? el.closest('a') : null; var img = el.closest ? el.closest('img') : null; var url = ''; // Prefer anchor href if it points to an animal photo if (a && a.getAttribute) { var href = a.getAttribute('href') || ''; if (href && (href.indexOf('/pictures/animals/') !== -1 || looksLikeAnimalPhoto(href))) { url = href; } } // Otherwise fall back to the image src if (!url && img && img.getAttribute) { var src = img.getAttribute('src') || ''; if (src && (src.indexOf('/pictures/animals/') !== -1 || looksLikeAnimalPhoto(src))) { url = src; } } if (!url) return; // Absolute URL + full-size version try { url = new URL(url, location.href).toString(); } catch (_) {} url = toFullSize(url); // Stop PrettyPhoto (and any other delegated click handlers) e.preventDefault(); e.stopPropagation(); if (e.stopImmediatePropagation) e.stopImmediatePropagation(); // Debounce var now = Date.now(); if (now - lastNavAt < 500) return; lastNavAt = now; // SAME TAB navigation to the full-size image location.href = url; } // Capture phase is the key: we get the event before PrettyPhoto. ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK/EWR💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Kuku🧡 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Kuku is one of the puppies of #AdogsDanpoong. During one freezing winter, Danpoong gave birth to five puppies at a shelter and was soon diagnosed with mange. Adogs urgently rescued the family. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Loves people and greets familiar ones with kisses! Allows people to lightly touch him, but more he only allows stronger physical affection when he’s feeling happy. Although unafraid, he is on guard with unfamiliar people and when people make quick movements, he may bark and reject treats. Is scared of guests, barking at them and hiding in another room. With a slow and gentle approach, he opens up quickly. * With Dogs: Is indifferent to dogs who don’t engage but approaches those who show interest in him. Gets along very well with even new canine friends. Gets along with most dogs. * With Cats: Calm around still cats and gently sniffs them, but has a lot of curiosity and tries to chase cats that run away. Might try to fight back against aggressive cats, so supervision is necessary. Tends to bark when he sees a cat passing outside the kennel. * Separation Anxiety: None. Plays or naps peacefully when alone. * Potty Training: Prefers outdoor potty but is 100% trained using indoor pee pads too. * Hygiene: Doesn’t enjoy baths but tolerates them well. Is afraid of nail trimming and nips, so walks are used to keep nails short. Is very good with brushing and toothbrushing. * Walks: Goes for walks with double leashes. During walks, we are also working on recall training. Except in situations where someone suddenly approaches and startles him, he remains calm and focused when called by name, and comes toward his handler. Has become more accustomed to walking and no longer reacts to passing birds or cats. * Car Sickness: Experiences motion sickness after about 15 minutes. It’s best to avoid feeding him right before car rides. * Biting: Bites defensively when strangers approach and try to touch him immediately. This doesn’t seem to be out of aggression but because he’s trying to protect himself. Sometimes, he bites when being forced to do something, so caution is needed. * Barking: Is a bit gluttonous and may growl when people touch his favorite treats. Sometimes barks in fear when he hears a sudden or unfamiliar noise, but calms down quickly. * Likes: Loves treats. Comes running, sits and waits in anticipation once he hears the opening of the fridge. Loves playing tug, too! * Dislikes: Expresses discomfort by baring teeth if picked up or touched against his will. * Tricks: Is a genius who has mastered 'sit,' 'lie down,' 'paw,' 'nose' and 'V,' and understands the difference between right and left paws!

Story
✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to JFK&EWR💟 Meet Namu🌳 (Namu means tree in Korean) 💙 Name: Namu 💙 Gender: Male 💙 Age: Estimated 4 years old (Born in May 2021) 💙 Weight: 10.1 kg / 22.3 lb 💙 Adogs News Account: @_adogs_ 1⃣ Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped and hearworm negative. * Was recently diagnosed with a bladder infection, so care is needed to make sure he drinks enough water. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Namu was staying at the Gimje City Shelter, where the accomodation space was beyond the limit. Namu was in the risk of being put down while staying in such a crowded place. Adogs team rescued him in time. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is shy and wary of strangers, and tends to fear being touched. Can be touched when trust is built, so it's important to wait and go at his own pace. * With Dogs: Gives a warning sign such as growling when new dogs smell him or get in his face. Wags his tail and greets familiar dogs, but seems to prefer being alone to playing or hanging out with other dogs. * With Cats: Shows some aggression towards cats, so careful monitoring is needed. * Separation Anxiety: Not confirmed yet, since he is living with other dogs as a group at the center. * Potty Training: Uses outdoor potty only since he is staying at the center. * Hygiene: Takes baths and brushing very well. Gets nervous a bit during toenail trimming but makes no big fuss. * Walks: Is generally good at walking, but tries to chew the leash when he gets surprised by loud noises or feels tension on the leash. Attention is needed to prevent him from running away by chewing the leash. Doesn’t react much to other animals. * Nip: Growls as a warning sign if unfamiliar dogs get in his face, and may bite if they don’t stop. If other dogs show interest in his food, punches at them with his muzzle, signaling for them to stay away. Has not nipped at a person yet, but has possibility to do it if a stranger suddenly tries to touch him or he feels threatened. * Likes: Loves eating. However, may show threatening action to other dogs when they are approaching during the meal time, as if saying not to come close to him. So caution is needed. * Dislikes: Tends to be shy and timid, so he feels uncomfortable with new people or dogs. Needs time to be accustomed to them.
