  Meet Kobe, a beautiful young Flat Coat Retriever with a heart as big as his smile. Weighing about 55 pounds and estimated to be around one year old, Kobe is the definition of a happy, loving companion. He was found alone in a rural Tennessee community, and despite extensive efforts, no owner ever came forward. The caring couple who found him wanted more than anything to help, but their frequent travel made it impossible to give Kobe the stability he needed. Thanks to Critter Cavalry Rescue, Kobe was placed straight into foster care instead of being left behind in a rural shelter. Kobe has a personality that lights up every room. Friendly, affectionate, and eager to please, he has the classic temperament of a Flat Coat Retriever — often described as very similar to a Golden Retriever, but with a sparkle all their own. He adores other dogs, loves meeting new people, and greets everyone with a wagging tail, a joyful grin, and his signature move of offering his paw for a handshake. Kobe’s warmth and enthusiasm make him an incredible family dog. Kobe will be neutered on December 13th and microchipped so he will always have a way home if lost again. He is searching for a family that can offer a safely fenced yard, plenty of companionship, and a lifelong commitment to keeping him secure and loved. Kobe would be an excellent fit for a home with children and active people who are excited to share life with a joyful, devoted dog. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Kent is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Kent! Me and my littermates, Kenneth, Kenny, Kelvin, Kelly, Kevin, & Kem have loved our time in the puppy pile, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. When I'm a little older, I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Kent is completely mis-named.  If you named him for his curiosity, he could be Scout.  If you named him for the sounds he makes, he could be Squeak.  If you named him for his smarts, he could be Hugo.   But for now, he’s Kent, who is all of these qualities, plus as cute as can be with his soulful green eyes and three white paws.  Kent’s favorite thing to do is simply be around his people.  He’ll let you know that he’s disappointed when you leave.  He loves to play with his toys and has learned quickly where his bed is.  He’s learning to do his business outside, to “sit” and “come”.  As his foster, he’s not what I consider a high energy puppy.  After play-time, he settles on his bed nicely.  What a gem of a puppy who’s going to grow into a wonderful family member! Jigga is a sweet sweet handsome lover. He loves to play with other animals, he loves children and loves to cuddle under them. He is a true sweetheart. Jigga love to go outside and enjoy air and smells. He loves to play with rope and knows how to walk well without the leash. He is a great listener and a blessing to have in your home. As he do show signs of anxiety in the crate, once lights are off he is a snorer and will lay close to you and sleep peacefully through the entire night. Literally the handsome boy you are looking for ! Especially if you have a yard for him to be in. He loves car rides !

I regret that I need to find a new home for my 4 yr old Lab, Stella. I acquired Stella in 2021 for my wife, who suffers from severe bipolar disorder and anxiety disorders. We also lived on a 40 acre farm. Unfortunately, my marriage did not work out, and I am currently living in a small apartment in the city. I am gone a large portion of the day, and have someone hired with Rover to come take her on a walk mid day. A perfect storm of me being offered a position that will require significant travel, the young man from Rover relocating - I just know that I can no longer give Stella the lifestyle she will thrive from. She is very well behaved, gets along with other dogs, even cats, and children. She has never exhibited aggressive behavior, ever. She is house trained, crate trained, and has a large vocabulary of words she understands. It's important to know she is a large dog that requires frequent exercise.

A best friend, a loyal companion? Trevor may just be your guy! This handsome, eager to please fella was found as a stray, completely emaciated. He gained over 25 pounds and looks like a completely different dog! Trevor is crate trained, but much prefers having less restrictions and more freedom. His house manners have been stellar in his foster home -- no accidents or incidents. Trevor loves people, a love bug that wants to be the center of someone's world! Hanging out and being in your presence & playing with his K-9 companions fulfills his days. Stuffed Kongs are certainly on the favorites list too. This sweet boy is a highly intelligent and rapidly picked up on learning an array of commands to include sit, lay, paw, kennel, down and no. Trevor also enjoys going for a car ride & will gladly offer to ride shot gun on all your important trips... petstore, mcd's, bank with a drive thru giving out cookies, etc. Trevor has been exposed to a vast array of other dogs, both big & small. He would love to have K-9 companions, but surely would not argue with being a SHD (single hound dog) & the center of attention. Cats seem super fun to chase (eek!) and would NOT be recommended.
