This adorable 22-pound Retriever/Spaniel mix may share a name with a superhero, but his special power isn’t ruling the ocean — it’s quietly stealing hearts. Aquaman starts out a little shy, like any good hero with a mysterious backstory, but give him a little patience and you’ll see him transform. Once he warms up (which happens quickly!), he becomes a loyal little shadow who just wants to be near his people. He’s the perfect compact companion — big enough for outdoor adventures, small enough to fit perfectly on your couch, your lap, or wherever you happen to be. He gets along great with other dogs, so he’d love a confident canine buddy to help show him the ropes. Or he’d be happy being your one-and-only sidekick. Aquaman doesn’t need an underwater kingdom — he just needs a safe, loving home where he can feel secure and cherished. In return, he’ll give you lots of unconditional love and devotion. If you’re ready to be Aquaman's hero, he's ready to be your very best friend. Apply today!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
