Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spunky Frenchie! Meet Eloise – A Petite Pup with a Giant Heart! Age: 3 years | Weight: 24 lbs | Breed: French Bulldog | Spayed Say hello to Eloise, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a heart full of love and a face full of personality. This darling girl is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of your universe—she prefers to be your one and only furry companion. Eloise is all about the snuggles and sunshine. She adores belly rubs, gentle kisses on her smooshy face, and lounging in the warm rays of the sun. A backyard to call her own would be a dream come true—she loves to explore and chase after squirrels and birds with joyful determination. While she came to us with some medical needs, we've given her the care she deserves. Eloise has come through both Cherry Eye surgery and recent TPLO surgery exceptionally well! She’s incredibly resilient and has so much love to give in return for a little extra TLC. Because of her sensitive nature, Eloise will thrive in a calm, quiet home with adults or older children. While she generally does not love meeting other dogs, she has been cohabitating well with her foster brother. Care and slow transitions are important to this special girl. She’s longing for someone with a big heart and a cozy lap to help her blossom. Could you be the one to give Eloise the happy, healthy future she deserves?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 30, 2025, 5:04 pm

Story
12/29/25 17:29Coach has been placed on medical final due to repeated rectal prolapses while in shelter, with a suspected history of previous rectal prolapses. He currently is on a prescription diet and an antibiotic that has been helping to keep his stool firm. This will likely need to be continued with monitoring from a veterinarian. *************Coach needs rescue only due to his medical needs. He needs rescue by 1/13/26******Coach is a 1 year old bulldog mix who came into the shelter with a recent history of rectal prolapse, repaired with a local emergency room partner. As of 12/9/25, he has had another rectal prolapse. He has had intermitten diarrhea in shelter, which can worsen risk of prolpase. Prolapse can occur from straining due to diarrhea or other causes of increased abdominal pressure (breed related respiratory changes). He has received metronidazole, propectalin, proviable probiotics - we are now trialing hydrolyzed diet and psyllium husk, as well as ongoing probiotics. Stress of sheltering can worsen diarrhea. Due to recurrent rectal prolapse, Coach is in need of rescue as stress of shelter is not helping his medical condition.

Story
~1 year old F intact bully breed (~47 lb) with bite history -- prior to intake, dog was on leash with a handler behind a car, person walked by and dog became started, lunged and bit L calf of victim. In shelter, lunged and attempted to bite a staff member who was taking dog from a different handler and attempting to walk the dog to a new area of shelter. Dog has exhibited loud barking and jumping at kennel door out of frustration (exhibiting kennel stress) but highly food motivated and affiliative once you have food; once kennel door open, dog is easily leashed. Dog was started on anxiety medications to improve quality of life in shelter and reduce kennel stress and frustration. Most recently on 12/30/25, staff able to leash, walk dog to medical, weigh patient and perform very invasive physical examination (including oral exam, ear cleaning and treatment and vaccination, palpate abdomen, head pets and pats) - no signs of high FAS during this encounter other than 2 lip licks and slightly more still (not tense) body language, and during exam dog lost interest in food distraction. Patient was on trazodone at time of exam (4 mg/kg). Shelter has not yet performed dog-to-dog evaluation to assess dog-on-dog tolerance/reactivity. This dog also has ear infections, skin infections and blood in stool that may be suggestive of food intolerance or other allergic/inflammatory disease. The dog is on treatment for these issues. Needs rescue. If adopted, cannot go to home with any regular exposure to children under 12 and adopter would need to sign behavior and medical waiver.
