Story
Location: Dayton, OH Food: Wholesomes sensitive skin and stomach with salmon protein Medication: monthly flea tick and heartworm prevention Who doesn’t love a soft fluffy puppy? Kylo is a 6 1/2 months old hybrid fluffy bully puppy, so he has a lot of puppy energy and will need someone willing to be patient through continued training and housebreaking. He was recently neutered and had palate surgery and needs just a little more recuperation time. He is already back up to almost full speed playing with his foster siblings, so he would do great with other dogs. He does want to chase our house rabbits, so I would not recommend small animals around him. Since we don’t have cats, I can’t say for certain how he would do around them. I would advise caution since we have no experience to make a suggestion given how he acts around the rabbits though. Kylo has met our neighbors’ small girls and was very friendly and playful around them. He does still jump up and could scratch or knock over a small child, so I would recommend children 8 or older who would be more comfortable handling a high energy puppy. This guy is super silly and loves to flop and have his belly rubbed. He also likes to chase balls and play with his Kong toy. He is a little whiny about his crate when initially put in but settles in and sleeps well in it.

Story
Meet Piggy! Piggy is a 5-year-old, 24-pound female French Bulldog who loves kisses, cuddles, and everyone she meets. Piggy is bursting with affection, joy, and enthusiasm for life. She is always happy. She loves running around the house on her short little legs. And she is the biggest cuddle bug-she loves to sit on a warm lap being petted while looking lovingly into your eyes. Piggy likes treats and playing with stuffy toys. She gets along great with all the cats she lives with. She will need to work on house training but is using puppy pads well and she sleeps soundly through the night. She rarely barks and is a very content little girl. Piggy has some fur loss due to alopecia. While it most likely will not grow back, this sweet little girl more than makes up for with her exuberant and outgoing personality. If you are looking for the sweetest, most affectionate little dog, apply for Piggy today! Piggy is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Meet Matteo! Matteo is a 2-year-old FUZZY French Bulldog with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Despite being fully blind, he doesn’t let that slow him down—he’s incredibly smart, friendly, and always up for a cuddle or a little playtime. He gets along great with kids and other dogs, and while he hasn’t been tested with cats, we haven’t seen any signs that it would be an issue. Matteo is doing well with crate training and is working on his potty training like a champ. He’s currently thriving in a calm, quiet home and would likely do best in a similar environment without too much chaos. Matteo’s ideal family will be patient, loving, and ready to help him continue building confidence as he navigates the world with his other amazing senses. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will melt your heart every single day, Matteo might be the perfect match! Matteo is a really special boy and will go to the bestest home only!! Local adoption fee is $500 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $800 (includes transport to your area)

Story
🎄 Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with Roxy! 🎅🐾 Hey there, future best friend! I’m Roxy, your soon-to-be holiday sidekick, ready to fill your home with cheer, zoomies, and energy this season. If you’re into plush toys, festive fun, and a pup who lives for adventure, then we’re about to make some holiday magic together! 🎁✨ When I play, I go all out—think of me as your little Christmas whirlwind! I LOVE chewing on toys (Santa, please bring me more!) and have enough excitement to light up the whole neighborhood. My enthusiasm might be a bit much for some pups, but my foster sister keeps me in check when I need a reminder. I promise, it’s all in good fun—I’m just here to sleigh the day! Now, I’ll admit: new places can make me feel a bit like a Christmas cookie fresh out of the oven—nervous and warm. I might pace, drool, or pant when I’m adjusting, but with patience, love, and a good decompression plan, I’ll be as cozy as a pup in a stocking. Once I know the rules, I’ll show you how amazing I can be! 🎁 Here’s my holiday wish list: 1.) Patience and understanding while I adjust to my new home. 2.) Clear boundaries and rules to help me feel safe and secure. 3.) LOTS of playtime to burn off my reindeer-worthy energy. 4.) A loving family who understands vet visits make me a bit nervous (but treats help a ton!). 5.) Treats, belly rubs, and a cozy spot by the fire to call my own. If you’re ready for a lively, loving, and loyal pup to make your holidays brighter, I’m your girl. Let’s deck the halls, play in the snow, and create a lifetime of memories together! 🎅 Love, Roxy 🐾

Story
Location: Cincinnati, OH Food: American Journey Venison and Sweet Potato Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Meet Lily: Your Very Own Squishmallow Bulldog!Ever wondered what it would be like if a Squishmallow came to life? Meet Lily — she’s got the soft, squishy head of a Squishmallow, but the heart of a true companion. This sweet bulldog is ready to bloom and find her forever home.Lily is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and loved. Her perfect setup includes a soft bed, an owner who’s home with her, and the kind of companionship that keeps her feeling secure. Lily can get scared sometimes, and when left alone for too long (like overnight), she may have an accident in her crate. She’d much prefer to sleep either in the same room or snuggled up in bed with her new family. She’s working hard on her potty training and has been making great progress! Lily is very subtle with her cues, so if you’re paying close attention, you’ll see when she needs to go outside. If you ask her, she’ll let you know she’s ready to potty. She’s also showing off some FOMO with her talk button, though her favorite by far is the “cookie” button.Lily is a breeze on a leash — no pulling here! Occasionally, she’ll freeze in fear and need a moment to regroup, but with patience and reassurance, she’s good to go. A Few Important Notes from Lily’s Fomom:Lily is incredibly sweet but can be a little wary of new things in her environment. For example, things like a kid’s backpack suddenly dropped near her bed or a helmet unexpectedly hanging nearby can make her nervous. She’s also still getting used to umbrellas, but don’t worry, she’s learning to trust them when they shield her from the rain during walks.Lily needs to be an only dog in the household. She’s terrified of other dogs and will become stressed, growling and trying to escape when she sees them. While she’s never tried to attack another dog it’s important to keep her in a dog-free environment. She can be a bit grumpy and defensive at times, especially when she feels stressed by a situation — like being too close to another dog, seeing her own reflection, or even a picture of a dog. At night, she’s a bit grumpy when it’s time to move from her comfy bed to her crate. Leashing her to guide her helps, and she cooperates much better with less growling. If you have experience with dogs who have had a rough past but just want to be the best, most loved companion ever, then Lily is the girl for you!

Story
Location: Dayton, OH Medication: Monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Woof woof! I'm Fallon, the fabulous 2-3 year-old stray-turned-royalty! I weigh in at a solid 35 pounds of pure sweetness—just the right amount to melt any heart. I’m medium-energy, which means I love a good zoomie session after my midday nap. I’m great with other pups, but as for cats and kids? Well, let’s just say I haven’t had a chance to audition for those roles yet!! I’m crate trained and house trained (no accidents—go me!). I’m also spayed, fully vaccinated, and I've had my palate surgery. Trust me, that’s just a fancy way to say I’m ready to chow down on all the treats! Though I’m a bit shy, my sweet nature shines through. I’m all about the good vibes and food rewards. No food fights here—sharing is caring, right? So, if you’re looking for a loving sidekick who's always down for some snacks and snuggles, I’m your gal!
