Story
Rosie is 18 months old. Inside or out, she is happiest when she is with her Dad. Loves our Chihuahua but her BFF is our barn cat. Loves treats and is very obedient. Sleeps in her crate. She’s goofy and a little clumsy. Has been trained both on lead and off. Can be aggressive towards strangers. Hackles up, barks, tries to lunge. Comes from behind and nips at ankles and legs. Most reactive around our home. After working with a behavioral specialist she is better in public and away from our house. Continues to have some problems at home. Hope this problem is unique to us and that as she adapts to her new home she will be better at making friends. Rarely spends more than 4 hours by herself. Will do best in a home with no pre-teen children. She is energetic and needs daily exercise. Loves being outside but not by herself. When alone outside she barks. She has been raised in the country on 13 acres and is not road savvy.

Story
Meet Maverick Cuddles! He is currently 4 months old, and we think he may be a German Shepherd mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Maverick's video here: Maverick is happy. Really, really happy. In fact, this adorable 'lil guy is the happiest, tongue-flopping, ready-for-fun-and-adventure ball of fluff that you’ll ever meet! Maverick is always smiling - we like to think it's because he is perpetually happy and excited to see everyone he meets. Whether he's chasing his own tail, carrying the largest toy in the room, or flopping over for belly rubs, Maverick’s pure joy is downright contagious. And when playtime is over? Get ready for some next-level snuggles, because this cuddle champion believes every nap is better when shared. If you’re looking for a pup who brings non-stop smiles and joy, a constantly wagging tail, and all the puppy antics you can handle, Maverick Cuddles is ready to join your family...with his tongue out, of course. Maverick is currently in a loving and experienced foster home with his 3 siblings and several other dogs that range in age and size, so he's very well-socialized. He loves to play, play, play, and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat. Maverick is living his best puppy life right now - all he needs is YOU! Maverick is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Maverick's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
The best snuggles are Shepherd snuggles, without a doubt! Juno is a loving, sweet girl estimated to be just 1 year old. She currently weighs in at 51 pounds, and we think she’s a German Shepherd mix, but of course with rescue it’s always a guess! Fall in love with Juno here: https://youtu.be/6YTs8cAPdg8?feature=shared Currently fostered in a loving home, Juno resides with her foster parents and four other dogs. Her foster parents have nothing but great things to say about her, and report her to be a very loyal and loving well behaved lady. She does wonderfully in her crate, and sleeps through the night in her little personal bedroom. She knows “sit” with a snap command, and she’s amazing on leash. Juno is even good in the bath, she’s had two baths so far in her foster home and she’s been perfect for both. With her foster doggy siblings, Juno is perfectly sweet and respectful. Her foster parents say she’s submissive with the other dogs in the home, including two small terrier mixes. When we had the opportunity to see Juno meet new dogs, she was perfectly polite with them as well. She met a happy, playful female Kelpie mix and while she didn’t want to play, she was happy to hang out. She was so tolerant with a pushy, playful, persistent Husky mix too! She wasn’t even intimidated by his Husky vocalization. She handled the playful, higher energy dogs like a champ, but we think her best doggy-sibling match is a calm, low energy dog! We also had an opportunity to see Juno meet a kitty! She passed her cat test no problem, our behavior team recommends a home with a calm, dog-savvy kitty. The thing about Juno that impressed us most was her leash walking skills! This girl is great on leash, and walkies are the key to her heart. Tandem walks help her get comfy with new dogs, walks around the block with you will strengthen your bond. This girl loves the leash! Juno is ready for her forever home. While we haven’t seen her with kids just yet, we have a sneaking suspicion she’ll love them. She’s ready to live with other dogs or cats, but she’s confident enough to thrive as a solo-dog. Juno is a gentle sweet girl, we think she would prefer a calmer home free from the hustle and bustle of shared walls and close neighbors. A yard would make her heart so happy, but she’s so good on leash that a fenced yard is not a necessity for this perfect pooch. We are willing to test Juno with anything you need us to in order to ensure she is the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! **fostered in Marysville, WA and ready for meet and greets!** Meet Lehi! She is currently 18 weeks old, 42 lbs, and we think she may be a German Sheperd or possibly Anatolian Sheperd / Labador Retriever mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What we do know is that Lehi will be a large dog when fully grown and will be perfect for loading up in the car and heading out to all of the fun outdoor adventures you can dream of! Watch Lehi's video here: Lehi is playful, but not rambunctious, and loves to curl up for a good snooze after getting out some puppy zoomies! She is great at self-entertainment, and will take herself to the crate for a good chew session, followed by a nap. Lehi is a bit of a social butterfly! She will make new friends everywhere she goes, 2 legged and 4 legged alike! She also rides really well in the car, making her an excellent co-pilot! We don't know how she would do with cats as she's never met them, but we are happy to test her feline compatibility, and she's likely still young enough to be raised with them. She met a 10 year old boy, and did great! Because she's on the larger side, and can be a tad jumpy, we would probably recommend kids 5 and up. Lehi is currently fostered with four adult dogs who range from 15 pounds to 50 pounds and is so respectful of all of them! If they don't want to play, she will leave them alone and go find her own thing to do. Lehi's favorite things are chew bones, and large sticks in the yard! She loves to dig them out of the bushes and proudly walk or run around with them dragging behind her. LOL! It's so funny to watch! She is getting much better with recall now that she is getting used to her name, and loves to hear your praise for being a "good girl". She also has the CUTEST little booty wiggles EVER when she's happy and excited
