Story
Hildy is a beautiful German Shepherd girl, about 1yr and 5 months old. She is loving, energetic and smart. She loves my grandson who is 3 1/2 and plays with him carefully, never being too rough. She has been trained to sit and down and other basic obedience, and needs continued practice at that. She loves to fetch and she is crate trained. She is very excited to come in the house but settles down after a few minutes. She does well around other large confident dogs, like our male GSD and Belgian Malinois. She seems overly excited around small dogs and would not be a good fit with them (likely cats also) as she seems to want to chase them. My daughter (a dog trainer) rescued her from a shelter 6 months ago and provided some obedience training, but now has to move in with me and we have way too many dogs (8) so we need to find Hildy's forever home.

Story
Caly is a beautiful, athletic young dog. Someone who is equally active would be best for her. She’s a sweet, good girl who loves to play fetch and get belly rubs. Her favorite fruit is watermelon. She loves going on walks. Once she gets used to you, she’ll follow you everywhere around the house ready for the next adventure. I just don’t have the time or funds to truly give her the life she deserves.

I am moving away soon and with my new work schedule I will not be able to give her the time she needs. She’s a great dog she was rescued from a shelter. She will chase whatever you throw sticks, rocks, toys, or anything. Very cuddly and loves attention.

Story
Meet Sierra, our delightful 4-year-old German Shepherd//Husky mix! Sierra is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She’s a vocal social butterfly with dogs but does require a softer-calmer approach from people. She does not mind cats as she got use to our calico with no issue and seems to have out-grown her interest in cats. Sierra thrives in a home with an experienced dog owner who has an established dog pack and a spacious yard where she can romp with her fellows. Ideally, she’d love to join someone who enjoys a work-from-home lifestyle that already has a fur family for her to transition into. If circumstances are ideal and all worries swayed, we are willing to waive the adoption fee outright. As long as the new home fits, thats more than enough for us. I was once previously a vet tech so Im aware of what markers and qualities to look out for that would be in the best interest of her and the potential new owner. If curious, please extend a helping paw and say hi!

Story
Carlisle is in desperate need of a foster or adopter ASAP! Miracle dog and Stanislaus Survivor Carlisle is ready to be adopted. Carlisle sat in the shelter for over 2 weeks with no one willing to help him because his injury was pretty severe and expensive to fix. He fractured his L7 vertebrae. We think he is about 2 years old. We found the most skilled Neurosurgeon at VCA Referral Center and found a medical donor willing to take a chance on the surgery. There was no guarantee it would work, but Carlisle had such a will to live, we knew had to try. The Surgeon did not give up either and he decided to make it happen. So we pulled the boy and off he went to VCA for a $12,000 plus surgery. Carlisle has made a full and complete recovery! It is a true miracle. He has been in two foster homes and his current foster home can only keep him until the end of May. He should be an only dog for now. He is still intact, but his neuter will be done while in foster care, if adopted ( foster to adopt) or as soon as we can get him in for the surgery. Carlisle is great with kids and people. He is good on leash. He is not the best with other animals, seems to have a prey drive, so no small dogs or cats or farm animals. Female dogs his size or larger should be fine, but we will demand slow intros. He is so deserving of a home and we need a foster or an adopter for him ASAP! Interested in meeting Carlisle? Story
She needs to be in a home as a single dog with someone who can handle the strong breed. She is wonderful and great with older kids but doesn’t love young kids. She bit another dog that was let into my yard without me knowing. We have so many kids in our neighborhood and I can’t guarantee one of them will not open a gate or accidentally leave the door open to let in a dog or let star outside when a small dog is present. She needs slow introductions but if done well she does great. Every time she has reacted to a dog it was a small dog. She has a high prey drive and it may contribute. I just need to find this amazing dog a wonderful home. She deserves it. I am so sad it can no longer be me.

Story
Belle of the Ball? Or perhaps, "Bella! The Ball!"Bella recently charmed everyone on a trip to a volunteer's home. She hopped into the car with ease and showed impeccable manners, even when french fries were on offer. At home, Bella explored the backyard, made a quick pit stop, and then toured the house, settling in quickly. She adapted seamlessly to the family's rhythm. The highlight of Bella's day? Tennis ball fetch! She eagerly awaited each throw, staying close and ready for more. While her human companion worked on the computer, Bella patiently waited with a tennis ball, ever ready to play. Bella loves carrying a tennis ball or soft toy during walks, prancing proudly with her prize. However, she prefers to be the only dog in her new home and is still learning to share her favorite toys, so any children should be 10 or older. Our Behavior Team will provide a consult to discuss her individual needs.Ready to make Bella your one-and-only? She's ready to bring joy and fetch games to her forever home!Monthly Promotion AppliesAdoption Price: $150
