Story
Maximus (Maxi or Maxipoo) is a beautiful German sherperd dog, he will almost be 7 years old now, but is still a puppy. He is a big cuddle bug. We adopted Max when he was 18 months old from a family who was going to move to a other state and would have given him away in a shelter, since then Max has been with us for almost 6 years. We want a dedicated family who has experience with German sherperds dogs and understands doggie body language. Max will need some walks and some regular play time. With proper introduction he does well with the family and close friends only, he is uncomfortable with other dogs so I wouldn't recommend dog parks or doggie play dates. Unfortunately my kids started developing allergies, hence we have taken this heartbreaking decision of rehoming our dog.

Story
Asmodeus (Ozzie) is an 8 year old German Shepard mix that we rescued only 6 months ago. He is a lot more than we thought he would be, and the shelter was not clear about his previous home life, which we believe to have neglected him severely. Ozzie is a very sweet and loving dog, and extremely goofy. He would make a wonderful companion to a very experienced, active owner. Unfortunately, he also comes with many problems, and you must be aware that he will be a lot of work. Here are some of the issues we have encountered: -avid counter surfer, even with you directly next to him -not fully potty trained -will destroy things if left alone -will jump fences if left alone (escape artist) -extreme seperation anxiety -terrible listening skills -loves to dig through trash, even with you directly next to him -will pull so hard on a leash he breaks it -cannot be trusted when we are asleep Please help us find him the right home and owner.

Story
Baby Girl’s name is so appropriate! She is such an innocent and eager to please. Baby Girl is fully house-trained. She will not get on furniture unless invited. She takes treats with a gentle mouth. She has excellent recall and likes to stay within eye-shot of her people. She only needs a quiet command of “sit”, “down”, "mine" (i.e. no begging) or "shhhh" to stop barking. She is gentle on lead. She loves going for rides car and is trained to stay in the rear. She is non-aggressive and loves to play with other dogs or ‘tug-of-war’ with her family. She hasn’t fully learned how big and strong she so a home with small children would not be recommended at this time. She is a natural watchdog, protective of her home and her people. After exercise, her favorite pastime is napping at your feet, especially if it includes belly rubs.

Story
Carlisle is in desperate need of a foster or adopter ASAP! Miracle dog and Stanislaus Survivor Carlisle is ready to be adopted. Carlisle sat in the shelter for over 2 weeks with no one willing to help him because his injury was pretty severe and expensive to fix. He fractured his L7 vertebrae. We think he is about 2 years old. We found the most skilled Neurosurgeon at VCA Referral Center and found a medical donor willing to take a chance on the surgery. There was no guarantee it would work, but Carlisle had such a will to live, we knew had to try. The Surgeon did not give up either and he decided to make it happen. So we pulled the boy and off he went to VCA for a $12,000 plus surgery. Carlisle has made a full and complete recovery! It is a true miracle. He has been in two foster homes and his current foster home can only keep him until the end of May. He should be an only dog for now. He is still intact, but his neuter will be done while in foster care, if adopted ( foster to adopt) or as soon as we can get him in for the surgery. Carlisle is great with kids and people. He is good on leash. He is not the best with other animals, seems to have a prey drive, so no small dogs or cats or farm animals. Female dogs his size or larger should be fine, but we will demand slow intros. He is so deserving of a home and we need a foster or an adopter for him ASAP! Interested in meeting Carlisle? Let us know! *Call or text 833-473-7364 or *Send an email to sacrdroperations@gmail.com (including your phone number) or *Message us on social media @resilientdogrescue or *Inquire using the Adopt a Petfinder system - be sure to include your phone number We look forward to hearing from you! Our adoption application will need to be completed and submitted. It can be found here: https://bit.ly/sacrdr-adoptionapp You can follow Carlisle on FB, Insta and TikTok using #sacrdrcarlisle
