To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2025/11/11/bravo Meet Bravo! German Shepherd • Male • 3.5 years old Currently being fostered in Davis, CA. Bravo is a sweet, affectionate German Shepherd who was recently rescued from Yolo County shelter has been steadily coming out of his shell in foster care. We are excited to get to know him better as his personality shines! Here is what his foster says so far: He gets so excited to see his people, greeting them with happy energy and enthusiasm. Once he trusts you, he truly bonds. ~ Out & About: • Walks beautifully on leash • Absolutely loves squirrels • Not reactive to other distractions • Has seen dogs from a distance and showed no aggression or over-interest ~ At Home: • Cries a little when left alone and may bark occasionally (normal adjustment behavior) • Enjoys playtime and knows fetch, sit, and lay down • Eats well — more of a grazer and no food aggression • Loves interaction and companionship ~ Personality Notes: Bravo can be a tad unsure of new people at first if someone gets in his space too quickly. He does best with calm, respectful introductions and people who understand shepherd communication and boundaries. ~ Ideal Home: • Shepherd-savvy or experienced dog owners preferred • Adults or older teens who can respect space • Patient, confident handler who enjoys building trust • Continued training will help him thrive (he’s smart and eager!) Bravo is a loving, playful, loyal boy who just needs the right environment to shine. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are willing to go slow at first, Bravo will reward you with endless loyalty. $250 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Interested in adopting? 1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application 2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call! 3. Story
Clay is a 4 year old neutered male livestock guardian/shepherd mix. He loves people more than anything. He is good with cats and small dogs. He is okay with some large dogs and not others. He has not been observed around young kids. Clay is medium energy. He loves to run and play as well as cuddle and nap. He is still building confidence in new situations and with new people. He is very shy in public. At home, he is confident and always wants to be by his person's side. He will need someone willing to go slowly when introducing him to new people, animals and experiences. Clay was found on the streets of Modesto as a stray. No one claimed him. He was set to be euthanized at the shelter due to overpopulation before we took him. At the shelter, he was terrified and kept to himself in the corner, shut down in fear. In his foster home, he is lively and social.

Story
Dogs don't come any cuter than Daffodil! Daffodil is an approximately 3-year-old bundle of fun who is eager to find her forever home. She is the sweetest girl who will happily make herself comfy in your lap and cover your face in kisses. We haven't had the heart to tell her she is slightly too big to be a lap dog. Daffodil is fully grown and weighs around 60lbs (although she could benefit from losing a few pounds). Daffodil came to us after she was found as a stray. One of our foster homes agreed to take her in until an owner was found, but an owner never came forward. A couple of weeks after she was found, Daffodil gave birth to 9 puppies! All of her puppies have been adopted, so now it's her turn! Daffodil is a wiggly goofball and loves to explore and go on adventures. Now that she doesn't have to care for her babies, she is ready to enjoy life and soak up all the human attention for herself. Daffodil has been doing great learning her basic manners, and has learned "sit". She is very food-motivated, which makes training a blast. Her new family will need to be prepared to dedicate the time to continue to work on her basic manners to help her be the best girl she can be. Daffodil would do best with someone who has large dog experience, as she is a strong and enthusiastic girl. Daffodil is a moderate-energy gal. When she's at home, she is happy to chill on the couch and enjoy movie marathons, but she also has the energy for long walks and hikes. She loves car rides and hops right in and is ready to go. She loves making new human friends and has been a popular girl at our adoption events. She is quick to cover your face in kisses and will lean into you for a hug. She oozes happiness and can't wait to find her fur-ever family! Daffodil would do best as an only dog or with an easy-going male dog. She needs a kitty-free home. Due to her rambunctious nature, Daffodil would do best with an adult-only home or with kids 12 years or older. Daffodil has been doing very well with her house and crate training. She sleeps through the night in her crate and has done well hanging out in there when her foster mom is at work or gone for a few hours. Daffodil is such a sweet girl, and she deserves her happy-ever-after. If you think that might be with you, submit an adoption application today!   Daffodil's adoption fee is $250.   Apply to adopt here!  https://form.jotform.com/52017002013129/   Applications are also available on the website (www.yolospca.org)  It can take up to 3-5 business days to hear back once you have submitted an application. The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes. Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption. For more information about an animal, please email dogs@yolospca.org. For more general questions, please see our website at www.yolospca.org. August 10, 2025, 6:49 pm

Story
Lucky is a 3-year-old, sweet and gentle young adult female German Shepherd. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and in good health. Lucky has a high energy level and would do best with an active adult household that can provide daily exercise, structure, and mental stimulation. She is very submissive, affectionate, and eager to please. Her compatibility with other dogs is currently unknown, and a proper introduction is recommended. Cat compatibility is unknown. For the best long-term success, Lucky is seeking an adult-only home where she can receive consistent training, clear boundaries, and a calm environment. Lucky bonds deeply with her people and would thrive with someone experienced with large breeds who can offer patience, stability, and commitment.
