Luna wants to thank Kathryn Rothberg for sponsoring her. Thank you Kathryn ! Also big thank you to Victoria Taylor and Thomas Pfaeffle for sponsoring this wonderful girl. Sponsor Luna by clicking here. Your name will appear on this page as Luna's sponsor and your donation will help pay for food and medical expenses. Luna thanks you! Hi, I'm Luna!  I’m an approximately 7 year-old female with a super soft light sable coat. I'm a gentle girl with a very expressive face and the cutest head tilt. I'm also quite cuddly and love to give kisses and snuggles. Everyone who meets me says I'm a very sweet girl.   My DNA says I am mostly a white shepherd, a german shepherd and a bit of shiloh shepherd. I have great house manners and am fully crate trained but really don't need a crate. I can be left alone in the house and won't even think of destroying your stuff. I also sleep quietly through the night. I like my rope tugs, balls, chewy toys and anything that squeaks! So if you ever need to work on something or just need your own quiet time, just give me a fun toy and I’ll go off and entertain myself. And honestly, I really don’t mind sleeping in a little some days if you want to however I would like a family that likes to play ball, walk, and go for rides. I am an active girl and have to keep my fabulous shape.    I have gotten along with calm, respectful dogs that don't get upset when I get a little pesky. I've done several pack walks and have handled myself like a lady. I have a head halter during walks as it gently reminds me to pay attention but I have also gone without it.  I may do best as the only dog in the home because I really want my own person.  I have lived with other dogs before that understand my style. I LOVE going for rides in the car! My foster family takes me out to quite a few different places. So far, I love the quietness of the country and woods are my favorites - Sooo many good smells. I absolutely love using my nose.  I am NOT aggressive, just protective if I need to be. (I really like people).  I already have really good basic commands down, I am highly treat/ball mortivated and have excellent focus. I'm very bright, if I do say so myself, and need to be challenged with daily training, ball play, and FUN. I'm really looking forward to learning more and showing you just how great I am.   Older kids would be fine but I have not been around really small kids and they may just be too much for me. Oh, to keep my beautiful coat nice and soft, I don't mind my baths and brushing. Really, any attention is good attention and I love to be brushed. I would also make a great gardening companion and I love to jusst be by your side.  So, if you’re looking for a fun, sweet, active girl who is also beautiful, affectionate and smart, I may just be your perfect match.  If you’d like to meet me, I’ll be waiting in Newcastle. You like this dog...now what? Sponsor Finn by clicking here, Your name will appear on this page as Finn’s sponsor and your donation will help pay for food and medical expenses. Finn thanks you! Hi.I’m Finn!  I’m a 3 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix (mostly shepherd with just a touch of husky) and weigh about 65 pounds. I’m a pretty active guy and ready for adventures.  I love to meet new people and new dogs and I’ve learned how to sit politely during introductions. I still need a reminder once in a while not to jump up on new people but I just get so excited and happy it's hard to remember my manners. I want to play with every dog I see!  Some more mature dogs think my greeting can be a little over the top, but playful young dogs think I’m great. I love walks and like to sniff everything.  I’m working hard on my leash manners and feel I am a pro at heeling and mastered sit, down, stay, shake and off.  Sometimes I still pull when a new person walks by, especially if they have a dog because I know that they want to meet me! I have some very minor trust issues (GSD trait) that we need to work on and may not bond with you as quickly as you might hope, but once I figure out that you are only going to be nice to me, we are golden and on our way to being best buddies.  Even though I love other dogs, I’m still learning how to share.  I kind of like to have all of the toys to myself and can get grumpy if another dog tries to take them. However, if it’s a tug-of-war rope then GAME ON.  I’ll play tug all day long!  I love to play in water, too! But in reality I like to play more with my resident sibling and dogs, more than with my own toys. I love dogs. I would do best with an experienced adopter with no young children.  I’d like to have lots of training because I’m a smart boy and I need to keep my brain fine-tuned. I have been to a German Shepherd meetup several times and stayed at the kennel a few times and I’ve done great at both! Like I said, I'm a friendly boy just waiting for that perfect family that understands who I am about. Oh, and one of the games my foster parents play with me is I sit very well and patiently wait for my food. I will wait until I am released to eat. I'm a good boi ! Please come meet me if you like the sound of me. I'll be waiting with my foster family in Mountain View. You like this dog...now what? You can sponsor Bella by clicking here. Your name will appear right here and 100% of your donation will help pay for food, treats and toys. Bella thanks you! Hi! I’m Bella! I’m a 4 year old sweet, friendly girl and weigh about 76 pounds. I'm affectionate with and loyal to my humans.  My recent past is quite sad as my dad passed away suddenly and I wasn't sure what would happen to me. Fortunately my dad’s nurse promised him he would find me a new loving home and contacted BAGSR for some help. I am with a great foster family now and settling in while I look for the perfect place to land. A little about me - I have great house manners and don't bother stuff that doesn't belong to me. There may times I'm a little cautious of new people coming into the house but I'm pretty good with dog savvy people. With proper introductions, I get along with other dogs big and small. However, I do like to be in charge of squirrel patrol..I used to live with a cat so if you have a cat we might get along great! Since I have bounced around a bit since my dad died, I have been barky when I'm out for a walk on leash. With a patient adopter, consistency, and some training I will likley settle in and learn to not react to other dogs or small animals when I'm out and about. I lived with a yorkie and we were best buds. I know some basic commands and would love to learn more. Group training would really benefit me as I settle into my new home with my new family. To wrap it up, I'm a pretty sensitive, sweet girl dog. I'll need a dog savvy adopter who will make me feel safe and secure. I’ll be waiting with my foster family in San Jose. If you like this dog and are considering adoption, please take 3-4 minutes and complete our application form at:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/42179/generic   Our adoption team will contact you shortly to help with the process. If you have already completed the application and are approved, please phone or text your Adoption Counselor to help you set up a meeting.   If you are interested in FOSTERING, let us know. This dog may be already be in a foster home however we have other dogs waiting for their own foster home.  BAGSR takes care of our fosters! Thank you to Kathryn Rothberg and Anne Spalasso for sponsoring our Pepper Spice ! We appreciate you all :)Sponsor Pepper by clicking here. Your name will appear on this page as Pepper’s  sponsor and your donation will help pay for nutritious food and supplements and medical expenses. Pepper thanks you! Hi! I'm Pepper, just like the spice! My foster mom thought it suited me perfectly, and I think it's a pretty cool name too. I'm on the lookout for an experienced adopter who can help me become the best version of myself. At first, I might be a bit shy around men, but with some patience and understanding, I'll come around. I'm really curious by nature, so when visitors come over, you can bet I'll be the first one to greet them with enthusiasm! You'll often find me cozied up on the sofa, feeling right at home. I warm up to people pretty quickly once I get to know them, but I might shy away if you reach out your hand too quickly. It's just my way of taking things at my own pace. I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to potty training and going through doors, but I'm eager to learn and improve every day. And don't worry about me being possessive over my bones – I'm happy to share! There are some interesting critters around me, like goats and a cat. I'm super curious about them, but I know I'll need some time and proper introductions to get acquainted. Leash walking is becoming second nature to me, and I'm starting to get used to car rides too, although they can still be a bit daunting. Now, about that crate... let's just say I'm not its biggest fan. But after about 30 minutes, I usually settle down and drift off to sleep. I’ll be waiting with my foster mom in Livermore. Puppies this young cannot be left alone more than a couple of hours at a time. Please only apply if you can be home with your puppy and have working breed experience as an adult.  You like this dog...now what? Story
Sponsor Georgia by clicking here. Your name will appear on this page as Georgia's sponsor and your donation will help pay for nutritious food and supplements and medical expenses. Georgia thanks you! This stunning healthy girl is 3 ½ yrs old, 100% German Shepherd and smart as a whip. Georgia is a complicated character with many positives and definite challenges. She loves being home with her people, or waiting at home when they are out. Georgia is a very affectionate girl who loves tummy rubs and sometimes tries to be a lapdog. This girl loves chasing the ball at the beach, and hiking off-leash where allowed. Regular in-town leash walks, not so much fun for this girl. Although young, she is not a high energy dog and does fine with occasional beach outings, and playing “Zoomie Go!” in the backyard. At 66 pounds, Georgia is in her physical prime of young adulthood…done with puppy nonsense, a very quick learner, patient, sensitive to her people’s moods, has impeccable house manners, and would never think of sticking her long nose where it doesn’t belong. She is a good traveler, riding silently in her crate (although she doesn’t like people to approach the back of the car). Georgia loves her toys, especially the very small soft ones she enjoys tossing in the air, and displays absolutely no resource guarding of toys, food, etc., easily allowing them to be taken from her. Most fortunately, she is completely unperturbed by sirens, thunder, fireworks or other loud noises. Georgia’s challenges all stem from her considerable anxiety which she has had since being first adopted at five months. Long term Prozac treatment has not been of much benefit. She exhibits extreme protection of the home, and will not allow others to enter unless she is crated. She despises delivery trucks/drivers and the mail carrier. In full disclosure, she once escaped out the front door when a child came to the door and bit the child. She is not safe with children, cats or chickens. Georgia has several dog friends of various sizes she has gone on routine walks with and gets along with them fine. In public, on or off leash she displays no aggression to people, even large male runners running towards us. She is unpredictably occasionally reactive to other dogs on leashes or behind fences we walk by. Georgia is dearly loved but must be rehomed due to owners’ aging issues and the need to have other people welcomed into the home. Georgia would do best living in a calm rural setting with an adoptive parent who is willing to put in the time, training, and patience to help her with her anxiety. They would be rewarded with an affectionate, loyal and extraordinary companion. This is a courtesy post. Georgia will be waiting in Santa Cruz.  You like this dog...now what? Sponsor Si by clicking here. Your name will appear on this page as Si’s sponsor and your donation will help pay for nutritious food and supplements and medical expenses. Si thanks you! Hey there-I'm Si, and let me give you the scoop on my story. A kind Good Samaritan rescued me and my sister Nu, and it's been quite the whirlwind ever since. First off, I'm a healthy and playful six-month-old girl with boundless energy. Walking on a leash? Piece of cake! I've got that skill down to a T. Plus, I'm a social butterfly – I get along famously with other dogs and absolutely adore people. Inside the house, I'm as well-behaved as they come. I've got impeccable manners and know how to keep things tidy. But don't let that fool you – I'm still all about having fun and playing games. What I'm really hoping for is to find my very own family. You know, someone who will cuddle with me, play fetch, and give me endless belly rubs. I might be just a typical pup, but I'm eager to learn and show you just how smart I am. And let me tell you, I'm a total sucker for treats – they're the key to my heart! Oh, and did I mention I'm a great listener? Whether you're sharing your secrets or teaching me new tricks, I'm all ears. So if you're on the lookout for a furry friend who's ready to shower you with love and affection, look no further. I'm here, and I can't wait to become a part of your family! I'll be waiting in Sacramento.  You like this dog...now what?
