Story
Oden is approximately 2 years old and was left behind on a property when his owners moved away.  He was left with his brother Oso and both were brought into our rescue.  He is currently being fostered in Clermont with his brother and is such a happy, loving guy.  He is a bit insecure and has a good bit of energy, so an active home who is willing work on his obedience and confidence would be ideal.  He does well with other dogs, although can be a bit rude at times, but does take correction from another dog well and will learn what is and isn't appropriate.  He is fully vetted with all his vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, neutered and ready for his forever home.  His adoption fee is $300 and applications can be submitted at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IDFL/Dog.  If you appear to be a match we will reach out to you to schedule an appointment.  He is available as long as this is ad is visible.September 14, 2023, 12:20 am

Story
Chomps is around 5 years old and is possibly a German Shepherd mix.  We are not 100% sure of his breed, but he is a gorgeous, sweet and goofy big baby.  He was pulled from Animal Control after he had his tail bitten off by an animal and went through 4 surgeries to have it repaired.  He needs a confidence booster, as shelter life hasn't been easy on him, but is the type of dog that once he bonds with you he is yours forever!  He doesn't appear to have much exposure to cats so his ideal home would be without cats till he gets his confidence back and learns he is safe in his forever home.  Chomps is a quick learner, he loves life even though it has not been easy on him and deserves the best!  He is crate trained, will do anything for food and is fully vetted.  If you are interested in him you can apply at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IDFL/Dog.  September 14, 2023, 12:20 am

Unfortunately I will be relocating soon and cannot take Nova with me. I’m not looking for too much for his new home other than loving owners who will take care of him. I’ve also been very busy with work and haven’t been able to make much time for him. Hopefully new owners have plenty of time for Nova.

Story
Meet Vinnie, the clever and charming German Shepherd! This smart cookie is a treat-lover`s dream, and he`ll do just about anything for a tasty reward. He`s already mastered the `sit` command with ease, and we`re sure he`ll learn many more tricks with patience and practice. However, Vinnie does take some time to warm up to new people, so it`s best to give him a little space to get to know you. Once he`s comfortable, he`ll be your loyal companion and best friend!Important to note: Vinnie is not suitable for homes with small children due to his high-energy and flighty nature. But don`t worry, he`ll be a great fit for an experienced family or individual who can provide him with the love and attention he deserves.Vinnie is available by appointment only, please contact the shelter to make arrangements to meet him.
