Lila is a 4-year-old energetic, cuddly girl who loves to run and chew on bones. Unfortunately, she does not always get along well with other dogs, which is why we are rehoming her. She has the most expressive eyes an animal could have and gets the most excited bark when you say the "o" word (outside). Lila would do best in a home with an experienced owner who is home often, can spend time with her to train her on her dog aggression, and has a yard for her to run around in. She does well with adults but is nervous around kids. Overall, she is housetrained as long as she isn’t left too long. We were told she has bad hips but that has never stopped her from loving to play fetch! At the end of the day, she wants nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch. She would love to be your new best friend!

Oden is approximately 2 years old and was left behind on a property when his owners moved away.  He was left with his brother Oso and both were brought into our rescue.  He is currently being fostered in Clermont with his brother and is such a happy, loving guy.  He is a bit insecure and has a good bit of energy, so an active home who is willing work on his obedience and confidence would be ideal.  He does well with other dogs, although can be a bit rude at times, but does take correction from another dog well and will learn what is and isn't appropriate.  He is fully vetted with all his vaccines, is microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, neutered and ready for his forever home.  His adoption fee is $300 and applications can be submitted at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IDFL/Dog.  If you appear to be a match we will reach out to you to schedule an appointment.  He is available as long as this is ad is visible.September 14, 2023, 12:20 am

Chomps is around 5 years old and is possibly a German Shepherd mix.  We are not 100% sure of his breed, but he is a gorgeous, sweet and goofy big baby.  He was pulled from Animal Control after he had his tail bitten off by an animal and went through 4 surgeries to have it repaired.  He needs a confidence booster, as shelter life hasn't been easy on him, but is the type of dog that once he bonds with you he is yours forever!  He doesn't appear to have much exposure to cats so his ideal home would be without cats till he gets his confidence back and learns he is safe in his forever home.  Chomps is a quick learner, he loves life even though it has not been easy on him and deserves the best!  He is crate trained, will do anything for food and is fully vetted.  If you are interested in him you can apply at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/IDFL/Dog.  September 14, 2023, 12:20 am

Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. Sadly, the apartment ambiance cannot meet his needs, and I'm also facing trouble due to housing regulations. I rescued Woobi from a shelter years ago. He is a really great dog. However, he is a little bit difficult to walk because he pulls a lot regardless of any measure to prevent him from doing so. He also pounces at other people and animals while walking so he needs to be kept on a tight leash. It would be best if there are no other pets in the house due to his tendency to exert dominance. Other than that, he is very loving and playfull.
