Story
Meet Zandra, a gentle 4-year-old female weighing 72 lbs. Zandra arrived at the shelter on 2/12/24 as a lost soul, yet sadly, nobody came forward to reclaim her. Despite her shyness, Zandra is a nice girl with a heart full of love waiting to bloom. The noise of the shelter can be intimidating for her, but she shows promising signs of warmth and affection once she feels safe. Zandra boasts a beautiful, soft coat that begs to be stroked and cared for. She is UTD on vaccines and will be spayed, microchipped, and tested for heartworm before adoption, ensuring she's fully prepared to embark on a journey of love and trust. Currently housed at Run #23, Zandra yearns for a patient and understanding family to provide her with the comfort and security she deserves. Her ID is 653630. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This pet and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Shelter hours are: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, CLOSED Mondays & Holidays. The shelter prefers people to make an appointment, go to - https://nqa3.nemoqappointment.com/Booking/Booking/Index/as65fg9dr953 and select Adoption. You can also show up between 10:30 & 4:00 Tues. thru Sun. (shelter closes at 4:30), you might have to wait a few minutes until someone can help you. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip. When you book an appointment, it doesn't reserve a particular pet for you. Thank you for considering a Cobb pet!

Story
We adopted Minnie from a shelter when she was five months old. She is extremely loving and all she wants to do is hug you. She needs enough space to run around so a fenced in yard would be ideal. It is with great sadness that we have to rehome her, but because of health issues, I am no longer able to offer her the attention that she needs and I would love to find her a home with a loving family. She is a wonderful, wonderful dog.

Story
Flo was a fostered puppy, a family was having a hard time due to an illness. We took Flo in and kept her because she was so loving, smart and playful. Unfortunately, we had to downsize our living conditions abruptly because of a new job offer. The place currently does not allow dogs and gave us grace in finding her a new home. She is a year and a half, crate trained and can fetch off leash. She loves outdoors and playing with kids or other dogs. She has a very sweet temperament and we often call her an emotional support dog because she is so attentive. Looking for a loving family to take her in treat her lovely.

Story
Zeus loves to run around and frolic in the backyard. He gets along well with other dogs, kids love him. My son purchased newborn puppy Zeus from a veterinarian assistant back in Sep/Oct of 2020. As time has passed, my wife and I realized that we are allergic to his dander. He needs a loving, dedicated owner to take him to the park and exercise.

Story
I adopted Llana in April of 2023 from a Rescue in Marietta. She was rescued from Cobb County. They found her on the streets. She is sweet and very loving and extremely smart, but I am unable to train and spend the time exercising her as much as she needs. She lives in my home with another small dog and they play a lot. She is a runner though and I’m afraid she will one day get hit by a car or lost. She’s comes very close many times. I love her and only want to best for her. I will provide a large crate with her.
