Story
Summer is new to our care! We just recently pulled her from animal control. She was picked up by a Good Samaritan with another pup who was pulled by another rescue and adopted. She has been incredibly sweet and affectionate. Seems like a velcro dog with her people! She is good in her crate and in the car. We are currently working on house training as she was probably a dumped dog. She is also dog friendly: a bit shy at first but interested in making friends.  ##2756502##

Story
She is about 2.5 years old. She is very affectionate and loves to be loved. She absolutely craves positive attention. She participated in a board and train program around September of 2024. Since then she has lived with my two Great Pyrenees and many fosters of various breeds big and small. I practice the basics still with her when I can especially around feeding time (Sitz, nein, bleib, platz, free, etc.) Offleash/on leash would need to be reinforced as she doesn’t leave home much however she did very well back when we practiced it often and she is very receptive to learning and very sweet.

Story
Artemis has been gaining so much confidence lately! Her foster mom gave us this update:  “She’s finally coming out of her shell at home, following the other dogs around, exploring, and playing (huge progress from when she wouldn’t leave her crate/room). She’s also doing great on leash and trots along on morning walks with the big dogs like she belongs there.  She is SO silly, tossing her toys to herself, rolling around in the grass, and licking her foster sibling’s face to get her to play And she’s the gentlest girl, takes treats with the tiniest, daintiest bites. Even when she’s unsure, she just sits and looks at you like, ‘okay… just tell me what to do so I can get back to my business.’ And the best update, she had a playdate with another pup that wasn’t one of her foster siblings and LOVED it! Other dogs really help build her confidence!  She’s still a little shy with people, but she’s making such beautiful progress every day.”  And that’s all thanks to her amazing foster mom who we are so grateful for ##2728885##

Story
Apollo has become so affectionate in his foster home! He is starting to seek out attention and really enjoys spending time indoors, which is a big milestone for a dog who spent the first 9 months of his life strictly outside. He sleeps in his crate all night without a peep and enjoys hanging out with his dog and kitty friends. He especially loves playing ball in the yard with his foster friend Charlotte, since they share the same foster home. Apollo is just an all around sweet boy who deserves the very best forever home. He’s a petite guy at around 45 lbs. So if you are looking for a mellow, medium sized young companion and have the patience and love to give, Apollo may be the perfect fit for you! ##2728849##

Story
I'm so freaking happy to be off of the euthanasia list, that I just am exuberant. I love to play & would benefit from a good run daily. I am trainable, smart, and food motivated! I will need a firm hand, and someone who knows about my breed. I need my energy channeled into some heavy exercise and/or a job. I would excel at agility courses! I am obnoxious to other dogs that don't share my excitement of life, so if I have a dog friend they will need to match my energy level.fill out application - https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=nh0734&method=online_form_html&formid=17

Story
🐾 Meet Lucie 🐾Lucie’s story started on a heartbreaking note—she was dumped at the Red Roof Inn on a rainy night. Thankfully, she’s safe now, and this resilient girl is ready for the next chapter of her life. 💕Lucie is a Husky/Belgian Shepherd mix (with about 25% Siberian Husky), and she brings all the intelligence, athleticism, and loyalty you’d expect from those breeds. She is a great walker, enjoys getting out and moving, and really shines when she’s given structure and guidance. She seems to do well with other non‑reactive dogs and gets along well with Timmy, one of our other dogs, which is always a great sign. Lucie would thrive with a confident, experienced owner who understands working breeds and can give her the mental and physical enrichment she needs.Because of her energy level and breed mix:🏡 A fenced yard is required🚫 No apartments✅ Experienced owner preferredLucie is looking for someone who will commit to her, guide her, and never let her feel abandoned again. If you’re experienced with huskies, shepherds, or similar breeds and are looking for a smart, loyal companion, Lucie might be your perfect match.fill out application - https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=nh0734&method=online_form_html&formid=17
