Meet Hudson - the sweetest 6-year-old gentleman looking for a soft place to land. Hudson came from a home where he was clearly loved and comfortable&#44 and while he arrived at the shelter with his brother Huck and mom Cinnamon&#44 I want to focus on how hes doing now - because this boy is ready to thrive in a home again. Hudson is fully potty trained and quickly figured out the routine in my home. Within a couple hours&#44 he was going to the door to be let out. Hes a bit shy&#44 especially with head handling&#44 but its the gentle&#44 run and hide kind of timid - never any signs of aggression. With a little patience and reassurance&#44 he opens up more each day. Hes dog-neutral but curious&#44 and with slow&#44 thoughtful introductions&#44 hes already had successful interactions with our pups. He also walks beautifully on leash and hopped right into the car like he knew he was finally heading somewhere safe. While hes not a full-on cuddler just yet&#44 Hudson likes to stay close and will quietly follow you from room to room. Hes calm&#44 easygoing&#44 and simply wants a warm&#44 peaceful place and a person he can trust. Hudson has struggled a bit in the shelter environment&#44 but in a home he shines. With someone willing to give him time and patience&#44 he will make a deeply loyal&#44 gentle companion.

Snail (aka Prince) is a loyal&#44 velcro-style companion with a big heart and an even bigger devotion to his people. True to his nickname&#44 Prince likes to keep a watchful eye on his humans and will happily follow you from room to room. He has a strong protective instinct and can be sensitive to sudden noises&#44 but underneath that alert exterior is a total lovebug who just wants to be close. Snail knows sit&#44 stay&#44 paw&#44 and lay down&#44 is fully housebroken&#44 and will let you know when he needs to go outside. Crate training is still a work in progress-hell settle calmly in his crate as long as he can see you&#44 but may protest a bit if you leave (he just really loves his people!). Affection is Snails love language. One of his favorite things is resting his chin on your lap for pets and gentle rubs&#44 and he never says no to attention. He also has a quirky&#44 endearing habit of running to the freezer whenever it opens because chewing on ice is one of his absolute favorite treats. Snail currently lives with two dogs-a Lab/Pit mix and a long-haired Chihuahua-and does well with them&#44 though slow&#44 thoughtful introductions are important with new dogs. His play style is rough and enthusiastic&#44 with lots of wrestling and mouth play. He is not cat-friendly and will need to be in a cat free home. Snail would thrive in a home with a yard and an active family who can help him burn off energy during the day. After a good run and some playtime&#44 hes more than happy to settle in for a cozy night of snuggles. If youre looking for a devoted shadow with a soft heart and a goofy streak&#44 Snail might just be your perfect Prince.
