Theo is extremely smart and active. He really needs an owner that is experienced with the working line dog breeds. We did a DNA test on him and these two breeds were highest percentage. In training, he has done very well. Before the GSD came in his DNA test, we would describe his disposition as more Malinois. If you love that working line dog, he would excel in agility and scentwork. He loves to train and do drill work. Theo would do very well in a home with a confident female dog. He plays and follows the lead of a female dog in his training program. Seems to push back more with a male dog playmate. No cats at this time, but he is getting worked around cats to "leave it" . At just four months old, this Mastiff/Shepherd mix has already come such a long way. Jimbo arrived to us as a very scared stray, pressing himself to the back of his kennel and unsure of the world around him. Everyday things we take for granted — leashes, gentle pets, toys, even slick floors — were completely new and overwhelming. He would often scoot under a desk to feel safe if someone approached him. But Jimbo has been bravely working on his confidence, and it has been incredible to watch him blossom. With patience and reassurance, he’s learning that hands bring kindness, leashes mean adventures, and people can be pretty wonderful. He now seeks out attention and absolutely loves soaking up gentle pets and praise. His soft eyes and growing tail wags tell the story of a puppy who is discovering that the world isn’t so scary after all. Jimbo does great with other dogs and gains confidence from his canine friends. He’s curious about cats but respectful of their space. As a Mastiff/Shepherd mix, he is going to be a big boy and will need room to stretch those long legs and continue growing into the gentle giant we know he’ll be. A home with space to roam and a family committed to continuing his confidence-building journey will help him thrive. Bear is a 6 year old GSD. We’ve had him for 4 years, and adopted him from a family who had another GSD, that he was trying to dominate. We were told kids and cats were fine, but he needs to be in a family with no small children, and no cats. He needs a very active family, one with a fenced in yard. Someone who can exercise him a lot. He’s so sweet, but has started guarding behaviors with my cats, and now my daughter. I run a home daycare, and I can’t risk this behavior with the children. He’s currently on trazodone ($30/month) but with a cat-free and child-free home, and plenty of exercise, I feel like this wouldn’t be necessary. He loves people, and is very sweet. This is absolutely breaking my heart into a thousand pieces, but I’ve tried for years to reduce his stress here, and he deserves the perfect home for him.

Boon is 10 months old and roughly 80 pounds. He is great with kids from baby’s to big kids. However he is not very fond of cats and he can give a rabbit a run for his money. He is house trained and crate trained. Unfortunately he has not spent much time on a leash so he will need some training. He is good with common commands (sit, leave it, down, come) but is young and can get distracted. Unfortunately at this time we are struggling to provide the care and attention he deserves due to unforeseen circumstances.
