Story
Everyone wants the dog to be saved but no one wants to adopt the dog Stormy is one of our several adoptables who escaped timestamp at ACCT Philly. She has been waiting six months for someone to come along and apply to meet her. We are fingers crossed it’s out there soon!  This lovely girl was surrendered to the open intake shelter in Philadelphia with a terrible injury to her eye.  Her injury was more than the veterinary staff at the shelter could handle or properly treat so she was quickly timestamped. We saw her and knew she deserved a second chance. After getting her to foster and one of our vet partners, sadly her eye could not be saved and successfully removed. Since she had no vision in the damaged eye removing it has not altered her life in anyway!  Stormy is an approx 3 year old Husky/Shep mix.  Some of Stormy’s favorite things are belly rubs, cuddles, getting brushed and going on car rides. She walks beautifully on leash, takes treats very gently and has shown no signs of resource guarding while in our care. She knows many basic commands, which comes in very handy when she sees squirrels and bunnies and follows the leave it command beautifully! Stormy uses a heavy duty crate to keep her safe when her foster isn’t home and does well. She doesn’t love being home alone for super long periods of time but has continued to improve. She absolutely loves all humans, both tiny and adult Stormy gets so excited when she meets other doggies. Her play style can be a little over the top, so a dog who can keep up with her play will be needed if any dogs reside in the home. Due to her prey drive, no small dogs or cats for this sweet girl To adopt Stormy: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NARP/Dog &#225&#180&#183&#225&#181&#137&#226&#129&#191&#226&#129&#191&#225&#181&#137&#203&#161 &#203&#161&#226&#129&#177&#225&#182&#156&#225&#181&#137&#226&#129&#191&#203&#162&#225&#181&#137:  ¹&#226&#129&#182¹&#226&#129&#176&#226&#129&#181 &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#188 &#225&#180&#174&#225&#181&#146&#203&#163 ³&#226&#129&#176¹ &#225&#181&#129&#202&#183&#225&#182&#156&#202&#176&#203&#161&#225&#181&#131&#226&#129&#191&#225&#181&#136, &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#172 ¹&#226&#129&#185&#226&#129&#180&#226&#129&#184&#226&#129&#176  &#225&#180&#183&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191&#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#137&#203&#161   &#203&#161 &#226&#129&#177 &#225&#182&#156&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191 &#203&#162&#225&#181&#137 :    ¹&#226&#129&#182¹&#226&#129&#176&#226&#129&#181 &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#188   &#225&#180&#174&#225&#181&#146&#203&#163  ³&#226&#129&#176¹ &#225&#181&#129 &#202&#183 &#225&#182&#156 &#202&#176 &#203&#161&#225&#181&#131 &#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#136 ,  &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#172  ¹&#226&#129&#185&#226&#129&#180&#226&#129&#184&#226&#129&#176   &#225&#180&#183&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191&#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#137&#203&#161   &#203&#161 &#226&#129&#177 &#225&#182&#156&#225&#181&#137 &#226&#129&#191 &#203&#162&#225&#181&#137 :    ¹&#226&#129&#182¹&#226&#129&#176&#226&#129&#181 &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#188   &#225&#180&#174&#225&#181&#146&#203&#163  ³&#226&#129&#176¹ &#225&#181&#129 &#202&#183 &#225&#182&#156 &#202&#176 &#203&#161&#225&#181&#131 &#226&#129&#191 &#225&#181&#136 ,  &#225&#180&#190&#225&#180&#172  ¹&#226&#129&#185&#226&#129&#180&#226&#129&#184&#226&#129&#176 October 9, 2024, 12:05 pm

Story
**A HUGE THANK YOU TO SHARON MARCHESANI FOR SPONSORING MICHONNE'S ADOPTION FEE**Michonne is an 8 year old spayed female German Shepherd Dog who weighs 95 lbs. Michonne came to All 4 Paws in need of a new home. She spent her life as a breeder dog at a kennel, and was rehomed once she was retired from breeding. The home had another large female dog, and she and Michonne didn't get along. Now, Michonne is safe with us and looking for the perfect match! She's been in her foster home for almost a year, waiting patiently for a family to choose her. Michonne, or "Mia" as her foster mom has nicknamed her, is a very devoted companion who will stick to her people like glue. She even nestles herself in between your legs if given the opportunity. Though she did not like other female dogs, she has gotten along with male dogs in the past without issue. She'd also be totally fine as the center of her family's attention. Mia has really settled into her new life and knows the routine of the home. Her ideal family will have experience with shepherds and a quieter home so that she can feel safe. She has enjoyed her toys and being brushed, and is overall very affectionate. For being a big girl, she walks nicely on leash and loves her walks around the neighborhood. Mia has so much potential and will surely be a devoted companion for the family willing to give her a chance in her golden years... could that be yours??Photos courtesy of Jim Graham: https://jimgrahamphotography.com/Help us continue to step up for dogs like Michonne and consider donating towards their medical care: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/all-4-paws-rescue/did-you-know-recent-rescue-statsInterested in adopting? Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maia is a 4 year old spayed female German Shepherd Dog who weighs 60 lbs. Maia found herself looking for a new home after she was found as a stray on the side of the road. We are so relieved she wasn't hurt or worse while she was on her own and are grateful for the opportunity to find her a family that will keep her safe. This beautiful girl has so much potential - we've already seen glimpses of it! Maia was reserved at first with new people, but now she makes new friends quickly and loves people of all sizes! Typical of her breed, she bonds quickly and strongly with her people. Her ideal family will have experience with German Shepherds and be willing to work with her as she learns and grows. Maia is crate- and house-trained, walks well on leash, and does well in the car. She has a lower-than-expected energy level, but still enjoys a good walk around the neighborhood or at the local park. She'd prefer to be the center of her forever family's attention as an only pet, as she likes to have her home and yard to herself. With her striking good looks and sweet personality, we have no doubt her forever family will fall head over heels as soon as they meet her! Please help us find Maia the forever home she so desperately deserves!Interested in adopting? Story
ASHA Breed: German Shepherd Gender: Female Approximate DOB: 11/26/2019 Size: Large Weight (Potential): 50 (55) Color: Black/tan Health: Sub-aortic stenosis Shedding: Moderate/Low Grooming Needs: Low Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Children: Not recommended with children Cost to adopt: $300 A secure, physical fence is required. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA. Asha is a true survivor in every way. She was born in a filthy and horrible Pennsylvania puppy mill. When she did not qualify medically for a health certificate to be sold because of a severe heart murmur at just 8 weeks old, the puppy mill operator held on to her for another couple of months to see if she would grow out of it and considered using her for breeding purposes. He ultimately decided to release her to Finding Shelter and she was diagnosed with a serious heart condition called sub aortic stenosis. Asha’s litter was severely under socialized but with the help of her foster family, she has made progress meeting strangers. Asha needs a very special and experienced home who can handle her progressing heart condition (she takes daily medications and will need them for the remainder of her life) and be patient with her as she is nervous meeting new people. Asha loves toys, she loves to cuddle on the couch and would like to be high energy but her activity needs to be controlled because of her heart. She would do well as an only dog so she wouldn’t try to engage in high activity play. Asha is a wonderful girl with so much love to give and is extremely smart. She just needs to find her perfect match! *All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking.
