Story
Cash is 6 years old and has been a great companion to me. I've had him since he was 8 weeks. He grew up with a female Golden and female Great Dane. I have recently remarried and will be moving soon. My wife has two dogs and two cats. Cash does not get along well with the younger smaller dog. We are afraid Cash may hurt him as they fight often when together. Cash is very happy, friendly, and loves human affection. I have 3 grandchildren that he plays well with. Cash talks and sings a lot as Huskies do. He loves to play fetch and walks well on a leash with harness. He loves his fenced in back yard and does well with large dogs. He is always happy and content with his treats, toys, and bones.

Story
Cain is 1.5 year old German Shepherd Husky male. He is kind and super loving. He is great with my kids their ages are 7, 9, and 13. He does show a protective side by barking when unknown people or animals are close. He has never shown aggression. He is house trained and crate trained however he is not always great with a crate. He can sit, lay and come. He likes to play with toys and chase a ball. The only reason we have to rehome is due to housing issues of our own and we could not find a place that allowed his breed in our area.

Story
Rex is a resilient, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his incredible spirit 💛🐾 Currently in a loving foster home, Rex is a 3+ year-old neutered German Shepherd, weighing about 74–75 pounds. Born with congenital megaesophagus, he’s learned that a little extra care simply means a little extra love—and he handles his routine like an absolute champion. Rex requires lifelong management, including eating several small, high-quality meals each day (he’s thriving on The Farmer’s Dog) while positioned upright on a step stool, along with medication twice daily—morning and late afternoon—and regular veterinary care. While megaesophagus can present challenges, Rex refuses to let it define him. He greets every day with joy, a wagging tail, and an eagerness to be close to his people. And what a companion he is. Rex is house trained, highly intelligent, and wonderfully well-behaved—so trustworthy he doesn’t even need to be crated when left alone. He doesn’t destroy things, rides beautifully in the car, and has a playful, goofy sense of humor that will keep you smiling. He absolutely thrives on attention and companionship. Aside from his special feeding needs (and skipping swimming), Rex can do just about anything a typical dog can—and more. He would excel in activities like agility, rally, or scent work. He already loves playing Hide-and-Seek with both people and his toys, and he’s incredibly good at it! His vocabulary is growing quickly, and his eagerness to learn makes him an amazing partner. Rex is looking for a dedicated, compassionate adopter who has the time and heart to continue his care and give him the loving, supportive home he deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering devotion, endless affection, and a bond that is truly one of a kind. Rex needs your help to find his forever home—and he’s ready to fill it with love. 🐾💛 - Around 3-3.5 years old - Currently just under 75lbs - Good with kids - Prefers to be the only animal in the home and soak up all the love - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Include information about your family and pets, what you are looking for in a canine companion, how you plan to exercise and train this dog, and why this specific dog seems like a good fit for your family. Those who provide the previous information will be considered first for this canine. Please do NOT call our center. This will help us match you and the animal the best we can. We usually respond via email within 24-48 hours; please check your spam folder if you don't hear from us. Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
