Story
Rex is a resilient, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his incredible spirit 💛🐾 Currently in a loving foster home, Rex is a 3+ year-old neutered German Shepherd, weighing about 74–75 pounds. Born with congenital megaesophagus, he’s learned that a little extra care simply means a little extra love—and he handles his routine like an absolute champion. Rex requires lifelong management, including eating several small, high-quality meals each day (he’s thriving on The Farmer’s Dog) while positioned upright on a step stool, along with medication twice daily—morning and late afternoon—and regular veterinary care. While megaesophagus can present challenges, Rex refuses to let it define him. He greets every day with joy, a wagging tail, and an eagerness to be close to his people. And what a companion he is. Rex is house trained, highly intelligent, and wonderfully well-behaved—so trustworthy he doesn’t even need to be crated when left alone. He doesn’t destroy things, rides beautifully in the car, and has a playful, goofy sense of humor that will keep you smiling. He absolutely thrives on attention and companionship. Aside from his special feeding needs (and skipping swimming), Rex can do just about anything a typical dog can—and more. He would excel in activities like agility, rally, or scent work. He already loves playing Hide-and-Seek with both people and his toys, and he’s incredibly good at it! His vocabulary is growing quickly, and his eagerness to learn makes him an amazing partner. Rex is looking for a dedicated, compassionate adopter who has the time and heart to continue his care and give him the loving, supportive home he deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering devotion, endless affection, and a bond that is truly one of a kind. Rex needs your help to find his forever home—and he’s ready to fill it with love. 🐾💛 - Around 3-3.5 years old - Currently just under 75lbs - Good with kids - Prefers to be the only animal in the home and soak up all the love - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Story
Hi my name is Harley! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. I will seek comfort from my favorite people while I work on my confidence. If you give me a chance, you could be just the person I am looking for, and I could be the dog to make you feel complete! I`d benefit from meeting any potential dog siblings and all human family members in the home before I go home! I’m a fun-loving dog who loves to play chase, so a home with cats or other small and furry friends wouldn’t be a good fit for my exuberant personality. My energy may not be suitable for young children.

Story
Meet Sasha! Found wandering along railroad tracks with her two puppies, Sasha was heartbreakingly thin and struggling to survive. She protected her little family with everything she had, but when rescued, it was clear she was exhausted and malnourished. Fortunately, her foster mom found her and took amazing care of her! Sasha is thriving in her foster home and ready to find her forever family! Sasha is the perfect blend of playful energy and loyal companionship. This gorgeous girl is the kind of dog who’ll make every day a little brighter, whether she’s chasing after her favorite ball or curling up at your feet after a long day. Sasha absolutely lives for a good game of fetch, she could play for hours if you let her, always ready with that eager tail wag and happy grin that says, “One more throw, please!” When it’s time to relax, Sasha knows how to settle in. She’s crate trained, completely house trained, and loves nothing more than being near her people snuggled close while you watch your favorite show or unwind for the evening. She walks beautifully on a leash or harness, making her the perfect adventure buddy for anyone who enjoys strolls around the neighborhood or exploring the trails. Sasha would thrive with an active family or a young couple looking not only for a loyal companion, but also a cherished family member to join in on life’s adventures. She gets along well with other dogs but would be just as happy soaking up all the love as your one and only. In every way, Sasha is ready to be someone’s best friend, playful, loving, loyal, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring laughter, companionship, and endless games of fetch into your life, Sasha is waiting to meet you. Sasha is approximately 3 years old and weighs about 61 lbs. Sasha is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas but is available for transport to many locations across the country. Transport fee is included in her adoption fee.

Story
I rescued Rip from an unfavorable environment when he was about 5 months old. Rip turns 2 on April 30th. Unfortunately due to pregnancy and motherhood I am no longer able to give enough time and energy to Rip. He deserves an owner and household that is able to meet his high energy needs. Rip is very go lucky and playful.
