DOB 7-25-25Wybie is smart and eager to learn. He is fully house trained & knows the basic commands sit, shake, stay. He is still working on door manners & greeting without getting too excited. He loves walks, playing fetch, scent work (hiding treats for him to find), loves all and any attention and the occasional cuddle.He does not do well in crates- he was trained until 6 months and now has panic in them. I leave him baby gated in the dinning room and he does well- and he gets to protect his house. He is not neutered- his vets recommended waiting until he turns 2 or older.Unfortunately, the cat siblings he grew up with- he is hurting them by playing to rough. -NO CatsIf he had another dog- he may leave them alone. But I can’t get another dog for him. He loves people and kids- However he gets too excited and may accidentally hurt them by jumping. -NO YOUNG KIDS - I recommend 8 or older. Recommended:-Fenced YardWill come with all his food, heart-worm meds, &supplies!

This handsome 72–74 lb boy was born with congenital megaesophagus, a lifelong condition that requires special care at mealtimes and twice-daily medication. Don’t let his medical needs fool you—Rex is an incredibly sweet, intelligent, well-behaved boy with an amazing sense of humor! He is house trained, doesn’t need to be crated when left alone, rides beautifully in the car, and loves playing games like Hide & Seek with his people and toys. He thrives on attention and companionship and has so much love to give. Rex’s condition is manageable with the right routine, including several small meals each day served in an elevated position. He cannot safely swim, so his ideal home will have no ponds, lakes, or other bodies of water. He would also do best as the only pet in the home, without small children, and with a securely fenced yard. If you`re looking for a dog who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Ricotta might be your girl. This sweet girl absolutely loves her people and would happily spend all day snuggling with you. If you`re cooking, she`s in the kitchen. If you`re relaxing on the couch, she`s right underneath you. If you`re sleeping, she wants to be curled up beside you. Basically, wherever you are, Ricotta wants to be!She has the sweetest way of asking for affection, too. Stop petting her and she`ll turn her head, give you those big `sad eyes,` and gently nudge your hand to let you know you`re not finished yet. And if you ask Ricotta for a hug, she`ll give you one! She loves being close to her people and isn`t shy about showing it.Ricotta is also wonderfully polite in the house. She doesn`t jump on furniture and seems to know that couches and beds are off-limits. She loves going for walks and gets incredibly excited when she hears it`s time to go outside. She is still working on her manners around other dogs, but she has already made tremendous progress and continues to learn.Ricotta is not comfortable around other pets, so she would need to be the only furry friend in your home. Ricotta is also being treated for heartworm, which are parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Ricotta will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. The heartworm injections for treatment are covered by HSHV, but there may be additional costs associated with clinical care.Ricotta is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes.
