Story
This is Moose (Bubba) 💙 He's 11 months to 1 year old 💙 Good with other dogs 💙 Good with people of all ages 💙 He was an outside dog and then placed with someone temporarily 💙 Assuming he's a German Shepherd/Husky mix Moose is a good boy. He is in need of a patient home where he can get lots of exercise and people that will work with him on learning things like commands. A big yard is preferable. He is sassy and likes to talk. He loves to play and chew, so he needs lots of strong toys. He can and will jump a small fence. The temporary placement cannot keep him anymore and he needs a permanent home. He doesn't have any papers or any known vetting.

Story
Ted is 8 years old (birthday 10/15/15) and is a dopey sweet guy. He is a littermate and has never been separated from his sister, Robin. My husband and I adopted both as tiny puppies and have loved them ever since. We are looking to rehome them together because they are so very connected and love each other so much. He is so chill and loves to cuddle but only for short periods and would never stay in bed for a whole night. He is so gentle with our kids and all of our nieces and nephews, giving unlimited kisses. I had cancer about four years ago and since have less energy for myself and them and we know that they deserve more interaction and activity which I no longer have the energy for. We moved a couple of years ago and no longer have a fenced in backyard for them to run in which we really want for them again. They do not do well off leash unless fenced in because they do like to go off on adventures together. We hope to find someone to give them a great rest of their lives.

Story
Foster location: Ovid Michigan Meet Prada! Prada is a gorgeous 5 month old German Shepherd mix puppy. She is a very social girl who loves playing with her foster siblings and running with them in the yard, going for walks and meeting new people, and then cuddling up on the couch at night with her foster mom. Prada is house and crate trained, and she walks great on a leash. She would enjoy an active home with another young playful dog. We are unsure if she has lived with kids before but would likely do well, kids 8 and older would be best. Prada has started working on basic obedience training and her ideal family is one that is willing to continue her training so she can be the best dog she can be! Prada’s adoption fee is $400, she is current on vaccines, microchipped, fecal negative, and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. A $150 spay deposit will be collected at the time of adoption and refunded once proof of spay is received within 6 months of adoption. Please follow the instructions to apply for Prada found in the auto-reply you will receive or email adoptapupanimalrescue@gmail.com for an application. Adopt A Pup is 100% foster-based which means we do not have a centralized facility where you can visit our dogs. The first step towards meeting the dog(s) you are interested is to complete an application. One of our volunteers will contact your references and set up a time between you and the foster to meet and interact with the dog(s) of interest.

Story
This is a courtesy post for HSHV. This is a great dog for the right person! Hi, everyone, my name is Clover. I tend to become overwhelmed easily, and the shelter environment is, well, rather overwhelming. So I'm looking to be rescued ASAP by a patient and understanding human; someone who's prepared (with a pocketful of snacks, ideally) to help me keep my cool when I'm venturing outside my comfort zone. I'm a fun-loving dog who loves to play chase, so a home with cats wouldn't be a good fit for my exuberant personality. If you've got the skills to read both my subtle and not so subtle body language, I'd love for you to be my guiding light. Being a 1-year-old German shepherd, it goes without saying that I have an overabundance of energy as well as a brilliant mind. If you're a human with an active lifestyle, I want in on it. I'm talking hikes, fetch, puzzles. I'd even be open to some agility training once I get to know you a little better. Please teach me to channel my energy away from fear and towards fun! Since I'm a sensitive girl, I'd do best in a single family home without dogs and adults only. Remember, adoption is not just about finding a pet; it's about changing a life. Are you craving a new chapter? Me too! Take a chance on this pup, and you'll be rewarded with a transformation beyond your wildest dreams.
