Story
I rescued Rip from an unfavorable environment when he was about 5 months old. Rip turns 2 on April 30th. Unfortunately due to pregnancy and motherhood I am no longer able to give enough time and energy to Rip. He deserves an owner and household that is able to meet his high energy needs. Rip is very go lucky and playful.

Story
Gregg is a spirited 7 month old German Shepherd mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. He’s incredibly friendly and has zero aggression, but he does get very excited around other dogs, cats, and squirrels, so he’ll thrive with someone who understands how to guide that enthusiasm. Gregg has tons of energy and absolutely loves walks, running, and anything that lets him stretch his legs—he’s truly a “go, go, go” kind of dog with no real off switch just yet. He’s also a big fan of bully sticks and chew toys, which help keep him happily occupied. Gregg would do best with an experienced, active owner who can provide structure, consistency, and plenty of outlets for his energy. We think he could really benefit from having an older, well-balanced dog around to help show him the ropes, along with someone patient and committed to helping him grow into the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

Story
Rex is a resilient, affectionate boy with a heart as big as his incredible spirit 💛🐾 Currently in a loving foster home, Rex is a 3+ year-old neutered German Shepherd, weighing about 74–75 pounds. Born with congenital megaesophagus, he’s learned that a little extra care simply means a little extra love—and he handles his routine like an absolute champion. Rex requires lifelong management, including eating several small, high-quality meals each day (he’s thriving on The Farmer’s Dog) while positioned upright on a step stool, along with medication twice daily—morning and late afternoon—and regular veterinary care. While megaesophagus can present challenges, Rex refuses to let it define him. He greets every day with joy, a wagging tail, and an eagerness to be close to his people. And what a companion he is. Rex is house trained, highly intelligent, and wonderfully well-behaved—so trustworthy he doesn’t even need to be crated when left alone. He doesn’t destroy things, rides beautifully in the car, and has a playful, goofy sense of humor that will keep you smiling. He absolutely thrives on attention and companionship. Aside from his special feeding needs (and skipping swimming), Rex can do just about anything a typical dog can—and more. He would excel in activities like agility, rally, or scent work. He already loves playing Hide-and-Seek with both people and his toys, and he’s incredibly good at it! His vocabulary is growing quickly, and his eagerness to learn makes him an amazing partner. Rex is looking for a dedicated, compassionate adopter who has the time and heart to continue his care and give him the loving, supportive home he deserves. In return, he’ll give you unwavering devotion, endless affection, and a bond that is truly one of a kind. Rex needs your help to find his forever home—and he’s ready to fill it with love. 🐾💛 - Around 3-3.5 years old - Currently just under 75lbs - Good with kids - Prefers to be the only animal in the home and soak up all the love - Adoption fee: $175 To inquire about this dog, please email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com.
