Story
We adopted Pip as a puppy from Stray Paws Rescue, and she’s now four years old. From the very beginning, she has been incredibly loving and affectionate toward people that she’s familiar with. She’s often wary of strangers but is open to meeting and interacting with them. She is a bit stubborn but very intelligent, and it’s so easy to play and be goofy with her. She loves to snuggle, and she is happy doing anything together. One of her favorite activities is playing hide and seek (and she’s good at it!).When it comes to other dogs, she does great with dogs she’s familiar with as well as at the dog park. Up close she’s very friendly. However, at a distance, she can be very reactive and barks a lot at unfamiliar dogs.

Story
Looking to rehome my pure German shepherd. He is 5 years old and still intact. We are having another baby and just don’t have the time he needs from us. He is a bit reactive seeing other dogs or people but once introduced he seems to be fine. Has been around other dogs and small children. Looking for the perfect family for him has been exhausting as I want him to go somewhere to live out his best years. He loves walks and car rides and would play all day if you’d let him. To say he’s a big baby and lap dog would be an understatement! He does have seasonal allergies but I have about a months supply of meds on hand to go with him. He has basic training, crate and house trained as well.

Story
These dogs were abandoned with me by a family member. They are seemingly aggressive, with no bite history. I would like an experienced person to have them. There are two of them and they are bonded, littermates.

Story
Meet Oakley, a 1 and a half-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for his people. He’s happiest when he’s cuddling on the couch, soaking up the sun, playing outside, or simply being wherever his family is. Oakley is incredibly smart and already knows several commands, including sit, lay down, shake, wait before eating, and “kennel.” Oakley is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his vaccinations. Making the decision to rehome Oakley has been heartbreaking for our family. Following a bite incident involving a family member, we’ve realized that we’re no longer the right fit for his needs. Our priority is finding him a safe, loving home with someone who is committed to helping him succeed. We love Oakley deeply and want nothing more than to see him in the right environment where he can continue to grow and be the loyal companion we know he can

Story
We adopted Dusty in August 2025 and he has come such a long way! He was born on 12/23/24. We adopted him from a rescue. Dusty is a puppy and wants to play all the time! Unfortunately my 8 year old male dog isn't into playing too much. There have been a couple altercations between the two males and for everyone's safety we think he would be better in a different home, where he can play and thrive with a younger sibling.Dusty is shy of people at first, but with treats he warms right up!Dusty needs a younger dog to play with or maybe be an only child. He needs patience and lots of love. He has been to school and knows his commands. Walks great on a leash! Dusty is very treat motivated and eager to please. He is goofy and has happy feet!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
KARL 5 years old • German Shepherd mix • Looking for rescue/adopter experienced with shepherdsKarl is the kind of dog who doesn’t give his trust away immediately… but once you earn it, you’ll see the goofy, curious, loyal boy hiding underneath all the stress. This handsome shepherd mix came to the shelter in rough shape with painful skin issues and ear infections that are finally beginning to heal. Unfortunately, the shelter environment has been incredibly hard on him. The noise, constant activity, and lack of stability make Karl anxious and selective with new people. But outside of the kennel? That’s where the real Karl starts to appear. Karl loves walks where he can sniff and explore the world around him. He enjoys enrichment toys, chasing after balls, lounging in the yard, and spending time with people he trusts. Once comfortable, he becomes affectionate, playful, and eager to connect. He has been working closely with staff and trainers who describe him as a “happy-go-lucky boy” once he settles in. He allows handling well with familiar people, takes treats gently, and has even started learning basic obedience skills using positive reinforcement.Karl would thrive with: * A fenced yard* Shepherd-savvy humans* Structure, patience, and routine* Children over 10* Slow introductions to dogs* Continued confidence building and positive trainingHe is currently still receiving treatment for his skin and cannot yet be neutered because he is on steroids.Karl is not looking for a perfect home. He’s looking for someone willing to understand that stressed dogs can still be very good dogs.He just needs someone willing to see past the kennel walls.
