Story
You won't find a more handsome, intelligent or silly boy than Sidney. He is about 3.5 years old and weighs 84 lbs. Sidney is a very intelligent fellow, he learns quicky and is anxious to please. He will do well with a job and/or a lot of stimulation, long walks and hikes. He will do well with an experienced dog person. Sidney loves meeting new people. He has done well with large dogs he has met, however he is would not be good with small dogs or cats. Sidney does show some barrier reactivity, however, when the barrier is removed (whether it is a crate, fence or car window) he shows absolutely no issues. Because Sidney likes a lot of activity, he will need a securely fenced yard (must be a physical fence, not an electric or invisible system) He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on monthly treatment for flea/ticks and heartworm prevention Sidney is currently located in the Middle TN area but transport is included in the adoption fee for approved adopter If you are interested in Sidney, email cox_ann@bellsouth.net for an application

Story
On April 6th, we said “yes” to a momma dog and her eight puppies, who, along with their previous owner, were facing eviction. That day, Lucy and her three-week-old “Lights” began their journey toward forever homes with us. By 10 weeks old, all of her puppies had headed north to join amazing families. Now, after months of love, care and vetting, it’s Lucy’s turn to find a home of her own. Lucy is three years old and has consistently weighed in at a healthy, athletic 50 pounds. She adores the other dogs in her foster home but is not a fan of cats, so we’re looking specifically for a cat-free home. As a mom, Lucy was exceptional. She was protective, intuitive, kind, and deeply connected to her puppies. It was a joy to watch her teach, play with, and gently discipline her growing litter. Her maternal instincts extend to her humans, too. She’s a deeply empathetic dog who is always tuned in to the mood around her. She enjoys zooming around the yard and has picked out a few equally spirited friends to wrestle with. Afterward, she’ll happily soak in the doggy pool in the summer or head inside for a well-earned nap on the couch. Lucy is smart and responsive. She learns quickly, takes correction seriously, and adapted to crate training like a pro. She loves all toys and treats and will steal your lap at the end of the day. Lucy's ideal family will give her space to warm up at her own pace to strangers and will handle new introductions with care and patience. She has come so far in her time at Good Catch. From an exhausted momma dog, to a confident and thriving companion. Lucy is mostly Shepherd (60%) with a splash of 8 other breeds. Her adorably mismatched ears, one up and one down, soften her serious shepherd face, but make no mistake—her working-dog drive is intact. Squirrels beware. She would thrive in a home with a yard to run in and children over six, as toddlers might be a little overwhelming for her. Lucy has been the matriarch to so many other foster dogs while in our care. She would thrive in a home with another dog but also would do well as a singleton if she gets the enrichment she deserves. She can be a couch potato, but only after she gets her outdoor exercise. Lucy is fully vetted, microchipped, house trained, leash trained, and has received a ProHeart 12 shot to cover her heartworm prevention for the year. She is ready for her next chapter, and we can’t wait to see her find the home she deserves. We only use trusted transport partners to deliver our dogs North to their families.

Story
🐾✨ Sunny Needs a Loving Forever Home ✨🐾 Everyone, Im asking for help with something very close to my heart. Sunny is an 8-year-old (almost 9) German Shepherd mix with the sweetest soul youll ever meet. I rescued him last year from a truly awful situation, and since then hes blossomed into the most loyal, gentle, and loving companion. Unfortunately, his previous owner recently reached out to say her new partner is severely allergic to dogs, and Im terrified of him ending up on the streets again. I cant let that happen. Sunny is laid-back and calm, but he still enjoys being active and going on adventures. He thrives best as the only pet in the home. He wants to give all his love to his person. Hes house-trained, deeply loyal, and has so much love left to give. This is incredibly hard for me because I care about him so much, but I already have a dog and cant keep him permanently. What I can do is make sure he finds a home where he will be safe and happy.

Story
Cute Leala is a 6-7 month old, mixed breed puppy that can't wait to meet you! She is sweet, loves people, gets along great with other dogs, and is loads of fun. She has all of the makings of a perfect BDF (Best Dog Friend). 💜 She's super smart! 💜 She'll be excited to see you every time you come home...in a personal pep squad kind of way, not a Stage Five Clinger kind of way! 💜 She is eager to please and will be a pleasure to train. 💜 She loves other dogs so she would do well at obedience class, doggie daycare, or the park. 💜She will help you make new friends...if you're into that sort of thing...everyone is going to want to meet her when you're out for a walk! If Leala seems like a good fit for you, we'd sure love to hear from you and tell you more about this great pup! This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pups with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
