Story
Meet Cierra ✨ Cierra is a young, bright-eyed girl who just arrived at the rescue from a shelter in North Carolina. At around 8 months old, she’s still very much a puppy—curious, energetic, and ready to learn all about the world. Cierra is already showing off her smarts and knows how to sit on command. She’s an active pup who will really benefit from continued training, which will help her grow into a well-mannered and confident adult dog. With her age and enthusiasm, training can be a fun and rewarding way to build a strong bond with her. Cierra would do best in a home that’s ready to keep her mind and body busy with walks, playtime, and positive reinforcement. If you’re looking for a young dog with lots of potential and a happy, eager-to-learn attitude, Cierra could be a wonderful addition to your family.

The first available day to schedule an appointment to see me would be Wednesday the 4th. I'll see ya later! --- 1/27/26: Meet Raven 🖤 Raven’s story began in a crowded New York apartment where more than 40 dogs were rescued. She was just about 3 months old at the time, and now—at roughly 10 months old—she’s blossomed into a confident, energetic young pup with her whole life ahead of her. This girl is full of spunk and personality. Raven is playful, curious, and always ready to see what’s next. Like many puppies who didn’t get a typical start, she’ll need continued training and guidance to learn her manners and become the best version of herself—but she’s smart, eager, and absolutely worth the effort. With patience, structure, and lots of love, Raven is going to make an amazing companion. She’s ready to leave her past behind and start a bright new chapter with a family who will help her shine. ✨🐾

The first available day to schedule an appointment to see me would be Wednesday the 4th. I'll see ya later! --- 1/18/26: Axel is a 6-year-old German Shepherd weighing just under 100 pounds. As far as we know, Axel’s life before coming to us was one of isolation — living on a chain, exposed to the elements, and deprived of the basic care every dog deserves. He was removed from that situation and Axel is now fully in our custody. Axel is brand new to Char-Wills, and we are still getting to know him. As we spend more time with Axel, we will continue learning about his personality, preferences, and quirks, and his bio will be updated to reflect what we discover along the way. Saving a dog like Axel is both an honor and a heartbreak. When given a bed, shelter, consistent food, and genuine love, he showed us just how much goodness still lives inside him. It makes the reality of his situation unimaginably difficult. Axel has done well with every animal we’ve tested him with so far, though we believe he could clash with a dominant male in a home environment. He already knows some basic commands and has shown himself to be intelligent and eager to learn. Despite his past, Axel appears to be house-trained — he has never soiled his kennel, which speaks volumes about his awareness and self-control. Axel is a smart dog with clear potential. With training, socialization, neutering, and continued structure, there is reason to believe some of his challenges could improve. Dogs like Axel remind us how resilient they are — and how deeply they can bond once shown kindness.
