Story
My son took Venom in from someone who could not take care of him. At the time he was in a home with his family. Due to a separation and having to move and not being able to have him, we took the dog in, with the expectation that he would buy a house in a years time. He would then take the dog with him. Due to unexpected circumstances, that will not be happening. We cannot keep him. He is a great dog that deserves a loving permanent home. He is great with my grandkids (age 8, 7, and soon to be 2). He is great with my 2 dogs and my daughter's cat. He is not fixed and does like to mark but other than that, we don't have any issues with him. We just didn't sign up for more than a year.

Story
Meet Bella, a new arrival estimated to be approximately one year old. She is currently acclimating to her new environment as a former stray from Georgia. Despite the recent change, she has shown us that she is treat motivated, knows sit, is good with kids, cats, and is good on the leash. Bella hasn't had too many dog interactions yet, but in passing she hasn't shown any negative reactions. More to come.

Story
Meet Gretchen! Gretchen is a stunning 1½-year-old solid white shepherd with a heart just as beautiful as her looks. This young girl came to us as a shelter transfer and has already begun winning everyone over with her incredibly sweet and loving personality. Gretchen enjoys being around people and has shown herself to be an affectionate companion who’s happy to soak up attention and give plenty of love in return. She’s still young, so she’ll benefit from a home that can continue helping her grow, learn, and thrive. Her adopters should know that Gretchen is quite the athlete and is known to climb out of a 6-foot fence. Because of this, she’ll need a very secure setup or careful supervision when outside to make sure she stays safe. The good news is Gretchen is completely ready to start her next chapter. She is already spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines — all she’s missing now is a loving family to call her own. If you’re looking for a beautiful, affectionate young shepherd to welcome into your life, Gretchen may be the perfect match. 💕🐾

Story
Meet Brina Brina is a beautiful 5-year-old black-and-tan shepherd, weighing around 75 pounds. She came to us as a shelter transfer from the South and has been settling in beautifully. So far, she seems super sweet, happy, and eager to meet new people. Brina is heartworm positive, but she began treatment at her previous shelter, and we will continue her care to ensure she stays healthy and strong. She is currently living in a foster home with a male dog and is doing very well in that environment, showing she can get along with other dogs. Since Brina is in foster care and not on site, anyone interested in meeting her would need to call and set up a time with the foster family to meet her at the rescue building. She’s looking for a loving, patient family who will continue to support her health and help her thrive. If you’re looking for a happy, sweet girl ready to start her next chapter, Brina may be the perfect companion for you.

3/3/26: So long, rescue family! It's the rescue's monthly Prison Program swap today, so I will be gone for 4 weeks. I will be unavailable for adoption until: March 31st, 2026. The first available day to schedule an appointment to see me would be Wednesday April 1st. I'll see ya later! -- 2/21/26: Meet Harley Mae Harley Mae is a beautiful 3-year-old girl who made her way to us as a shelter transfer from Georgia. We believe she may be a German Shepherd/Dutch Shepherd mix, as she has striking brindle coloring on her legs that makes her extra unique and eye-catching. Weighing about 65 pounds, Harley Mae is a happy, lively girl with a fun-loving spirit. She carries herself with confidence and brings a bright energy wherever she goes. Her joyful personality and beautiful markings make her truly one of a kind. Harley Mae still needs to be microchipped and have her 4DX and rabies vaccine completed, but those will be taken care of this week. Once that’s done, she’ll be all set and ready to head off to her forever home. If you’re looking for a cheerful companion with a little extra flair, Harley Mae may be the perfect fit. She’s ready to start her next chapter — could it be with you?

Story
Meet Rosie & Ranger! Rosie and Ranger are a sweet bonded pair who are looking for a home where they can stay together. We’re told they are brother and sister, and their close relationship certainly shows — they do very well together and clearly enjoy having each other around. Because of their strong bond, we would love to see them adopted as a pair so they can continue sharing life side by side. Both Rosie and Ranger are about 2 years old and are already spayed/neutered. They are also currently up to date on their vaccines, which means they’re ready to head home whenever the right family comes along. These two have already been through life together and take comfort in each other’s company. With a loving home, they’re sure to continue thriving as the perfect duo. If you’ve been thinking about adding two companions to your family, Rosie and Ranger might just be the pair you’ve been waiting for. 🐾💕
