Meet Joe! The cutie boy with the floppy ears! We aren’t sure if he just hasn’t grown into their pointy potential or if it will be his signature trademark, but he definitely has a face and personality that you don’t want to miss out on!
Joe is a shepherd mix who we believe is just around a year old! He weighs approximately 48 pounds and is still growing! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guesses and cannot be guaranteed. But one thing is for sure, Joe’s cool as a cucumber personality is something that you are going to want to experience first hand!

Joe is like the new kid in class who is nervous about making new friends but then it quickly becomes evident that he will be the coolest boy in school! When he first met our resident pups, he was shy, and allowed them to investigate him as he quietly stood there. But as soon as Camo, our confident playful male pup invited Joe to play, it was game on! Pretty soon Joe was playing with the whole pack of pups in the yard and having the best time! He currently lives with numerous foster siblings of various ages, sizes, and breeds and would do well in a home with medium energy, playful pups who will allow Joe to get used to his new normal.
When it comes to cats, Joe is a chill guy, but very interested in feline friends. He doesn’t live with any cats, but when he met our housecat Biggie, he gave him lots and lots of cautiously curious sniffs. It was actually the most interested I had seen him the entire visit! As sweet as Joe is, due to his peaked interest in kitties, it would be best if he was in a home with no cats. We understand the importance of precious personal space for our kitty friends.
Joe got very excited when he met Blaze and Xen (9)! He perked up those cute floppy ears and his tail began to wag! There was just something so special to him about being around kids who wanted to feed him treats and give him love! We believe that Joe would do great in a home with older children who want to have a pal to grow up with and play with in the yard! Do you have a younger, smaller child that you would be interested in seeing how Joe would interact with? Feel free to let us know and we will see how he does! We want to make sure that he is the PERFECT addition to your family!
Like I stated earlier, Joe is a growing boy and needs space to run and play and stretch those long legs of his! He will definitely thrive in a home with a yard over an apartment! He meets new puppies and humans well on leash and is mastering his leash skills, so trips to the park or walking a trail would be a fun experience for this guy!
If your home is missing a friend who will give back ten fold the love he receives, then Joe is your boy! He has so much life to live and so much devotion to give and he will make his new home very happy!

We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey!
You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
