Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Charmin Carmen – Your Loyal Shadow and Gentle Sweetheart   Charmin Carmen is a 2-ish-year-old German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her beautiful brown eyes. At 62 pounds, she’s still gaining weight, but her spirit is already strong and full of love. Sweet, affectionate, and endlessly loyal, Charmin Carmen is the kind of dog who wants nothing more than to be part of every moment—she’s got a little FOMO and loves to be wherever you are, soaking up attention and joining in on the fun. Charmin Carmen is wonderfully gentle and patient with kids, great with other dogs, and even gets along beautifully with cats and chickens. She truly is a gem. She is also: •Crate trained •House trained •Dog-door trained •Food motivated and eager to learn   She does have a Level 5 heart murmur, which she manages with daily medication costing about $200 per month. Carmen handles her meds like a champ, and they help her live a happy, comfortable life. Also, due to her heart murmur, she isn’t able to be safely spayed so her adopter will need to agree to keep her away from un-neutered males unsupervised. It wouldn’t be good for her to get pregnant.   Carmen is “very sweet with everyone,” but what makes her truly special is how deeply she bonds with her people. If you’re looking for a warm, devoted companion who will follow you with unwavering love, Carmen is your girl. Carmen is ready for her forever home—a place where she can be safe, cherished, and included in all the moments she loves.   If you think you might be the perfect match for Carmen, fill out an application to meet her today!  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 18, 2026, 7:10 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is My Tye – I guess my mom had a cocktail too many when she picked my name. But everyone just calls me Tye so that’s ok. I’m a 2.5 year old German Shepherd and weigh 75 lbs. I haven’t really been taught anything before I came to my foster home, which is a shame because I’m a typical GSD: intelligent & curious, athletic & high-energy, and thriving when you give me something to do. I’ve learned so much in the few days I’ve been here and am eager to keep going.  I’m house trained and crate trained and sleep all through the night; except, of course, when there are burglars, but luckily, we didn’t have any yet. I fetch balls even when you try to hide them and love to play with my toys. My favorite game is playing tug-of-war. And I have already learned to run through an agility tunnel! I’m still learning to walk on a leash. I love going on car rides and am learning to sit and wait when the door is opened. Once I’m worn out, I love to snuggle and hang out close to you.  I’m good with other large dogs but still a bit of an oaf and need to learn proper behavior around other dogs. I didn’t have interaction with small dogs yet. Same thing with kids: I’m good with the teenager in my home but haven’t met any little kids.  I’m looking for an active family with GSD or high-energy, large dog experience, with a strong commitment to training and socialization so I can become the awesome German Shepherd that is hiding in me. If you think I’m the right companion for you, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:23 pm

Story
Meet Coyote Breed: German Shepherd Mix Sex: Male DOB: August 23, 2022 Weight: 40 Pounds Health: Healthy and doing well Coyote is a handsome German Shepherd mix with bright, intelligent eyes and a personality that perfectly reflects the best traits of his breed. At just a few years old, he’s the ideal balance of playful energy and loyal companionship. Smart, friendly, and eager to connect with people, Coyote is the kind of dog who quickly becomes a devoted member of the family. Personality Coyote is intelligent, obedient, and wonderfully loyal. He enjoys being around people and forms strong bonds with the humans he trusts. His happy and friendly nature makes him easy to love, and he thrives when he is included in daily activities. Whether he’s going for a walk, learning something new, or simply relaxing nearby, Coyote enjoys being close to his people and sharing his affectionate personality. Breed Info German Shepherd mixes are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and trainability. These dogs are often eager to learn and respond well to positive reinforcement training. Shepherds thrive when they have both mental stimulation and physical activity, and they are happiest when they feel connected to their family. With guidance and engagement, German Shepherd mixes become incredibly devoted and dependable companions. Owner Responsibilities Coyote will benefit from regular exercise, continued training, and plenty of companionship. Daily walks, interactive play, and mental stimulation will help keep him happy and balanced. Positive reinforcement training will strengthen the bond between Coyote and his adopter while helping him continue developing his obedience and confidence. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before adopting Coyote, it’s important to think about your long-term stability and lifestyle. Are pets allowed where you live now and in the future? If you move, will Coyote move with you? Do you have the time each day to provide exercise, companionship, and engagement? Are you financially prepared for routine veterinary care, food, and unexpected medical needs? Adoption means committing to your dog through every stage of life. Vet Care Even though Coyote is healthy, adopters should establish care with their own veterinarian soon after adoption. This helps ensure preventative care continues properly and provides a trusted medical partner for his long-term health and well-being. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule Like most rescue dogs, Coyote will need time to adjust to his new home. The first 3 days he may feel unsure as he decompresses from the transition. The first 3 weeks he will begin learning your routine and feeling more comfortable. By 3 months, his confidence will grow and his loving personality will fully shine. Patience and consistency during this time will help him thrive. Why Coyote? Coyote is a loyal, intelligent dog who is ready to share his life with a family who will appreciate his loving nature and bright mind. With his friendly personality and strong bond with people, he has everything it takes to become a wonderful lifelong companion. The family who welcomes Coyote into their home will gain a devoted friend who will stand by their side for years to come.
