Story
I have inherited my dads German shepherd and unfortunately am unable to care for her. She hasn’t done too well with the kids and doesn’t do well with visitors.she does ok with other dogs. She does have behavioral issues but is a very beautiful intelligent dog who just needs love and attention and someone who is willing to invest time in her. She has so much potential but I don’t Have the time to give to her. She’s 7 years old and has so much more to give. I want to avoid taking her to a shelter where she could possibly be put down. Thanks for taking the time to check out her profile.

Story
Mabel is a staff favorite and a very special girl! Mabel came to us as a stray back in June and has stolen everyone's heart. We can't be sure what her life before us looked like but we know she was let down by someone who was supposed to love and care for her. Just look at her big brown eyes; we can't imagine how anyone wouldn't want her love! And she gives it freely; Mabel might take a little to warm up but once she does she is very trusting and will follow you anywhere. Mabel has been fostered with young children, dogs, and cats. She loves playing with her canine friends and cuddling on the couch with humans of all ages! Cats, you ask? Well, that almost looks like something out of a cartoon! This gentle girl is not aggressive with her feline housemates, but we know she would be her best self in a home without cats - she is a GSD after all! Do you like to hike? Or go on long walks through your neighborhood? What about lounging around the house for a Netflix marathon? Mabel loves all of these activities and more! She is a dream on a leash in any setting and is extremely attentive to her handler. She likes treats and takes them so gently, but isn't super motivated by them; she would rather just have your affection! Mabel would do best in a home where she is the only dog and can chew on bones and play with squeaky toys to her hearts content! She would LOVE if her new family could be home with her a lot as she is very nervous about her big scary kennel. She is slowly making progress in learning not to be afraid (thanks to the help of her heartbeat snuggle puppy!); but she needs someone patient and kind who can help her learn that it is a safe and okay place to be for a little bit. If you are looking for the perfect partner-in-crime, outdoor companion, or cuddly buddy - we know you've found your special girl. Don’t miss out on this amazing pup! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Liam is best described as a huggable goofball! I mean seriously, this guy wants to hug every person that he meets. He would be a great bestfriend who would always cheer you up when you are having a hard day. It's hard not to laugh at his goofy antics! Liam like to play with other dogs too! He really loves to play! Liam is looking for an active home. He loves playing in the water and riding in cars and sticking his head out the window! I can't say for sure but I'd bet that he would love to play in snow too! While Liam is very active and loves to play during the day, he is happy to cuddle up with his people and snooze at the end of the day. Does Liam sound like the perfect dog for you?!
