Story
We rescued Mia in 2017 when she was a year old. She was found in a home used for dog fighting and was believed to have been a bait dog. She had been taken in by a family, however their dogs also attacked Mia. Mia has high anxiety due to her trauma and needs a home where she can spend the rest of her years relaxing and being a dog. She is extremely sweet and loyal. She needs a caring owner and a nice yard to play in. On our part, rehoming her is a devastating decision, but it is what’s best for her due to our small home, her not getting along with our cat, and the fact we have a baby. She doesn’t seem as happy as she was. We hope that she can enjoy her twilight years in bliss.

Story
Meet our sweet 1½-year-old Shepadoodle! This has been a difficult decision, but with our kids getting older and busy with sports and activities, we’re simply not home enough to give her the time and attention she deserves. She is a loving, energetic dog who wants to be part of everything the family does. She loves being outside, playing, exploring, and spending time with her people. She is crate trained and eager to please. As a young dog, she would benefit from continued training and consistency, but she’s smart and has so much potential. She does well with children but can get excited and jump when greeting people, so she’d do best with kids who are comfortable around an enthusiastic dog. We’re looking for an active family that can give her the exercise, companionship, and love she deserves. She’ll make a loyal, fun, and affectionate companion for the right home.

Story
Freya is a phenomenal dog. Rescued from Idaho rains after she was abandoned, Freya has been a source of love and strength for the past 4 years. Unfortunately, she endured quite a bit of trauma at a young age regarding other dogs and has retained a fearful and reactive state around other dogs. Due to her current home, she is in a state of constant stress. This stress has incited several altercations with other dogs in the home. In contrast, this could not be a more human-oriented dog. She LOVES her people, especially children. At 35 lbs, she's the prefect travel companion, enthusiastically embracing every adventure that comes her way. She's brave, personable, and deeply loving. Freya is a true hunter, which makes her phenomenal for guarding any home from wayward pests and any rogue bird who dare eye the garden. Please reach out and learn more about this amazing dog. We would love to remain in contact, as she has our hearts. We love Freya. Help us find her the perfect home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. One day someone, maybe you, will look back and remember seeing your beloved dog for the first time on this post. Abigale and Tyye (lovingly named for the rescue crew members who helped save them) have one of the most dramatic rescue stories we've ever encountered.    Apparently dumped in the remote desert of southern Utah, would have died without the aid of a kindly man in an RV who put out food and water. He had an emergency that required medical evacuation and called 911. When the helicopter crew touched down in the dark they were rushed by two dogs who who appeared to be two no-nonsense dogs that you seriously do not want rushing you. On the contrary, they were actually just thrilled to death with new friends dropping out of the sky!   Sadly, the man would not return. One of the flight nurses couldn't bear the thought of these two delightful creatures suffering in the desert. Quickly discovering that there were no local resources for them, he drove all the way back the next day and the dogs happily piled into the car for the drive back!   Though they are mixed breed, both dogs appear at first glance to be perfect miniature German Shepherds and definitely have the brains and natural manners to match. They are equal in their pure trust in and adoration for people (think quiet, full-body wags on seeing someone familiar approaching, even from a distance) and despite being completely uncivilized have a stunning instinct for politeness and good behavior. They have barked but are not barkers, they taught themselves to open the gate but don't run away, and it took about 30 seconds to successfully teach Tyye not to jump on people (Abigale never tried). Both of them are a trainer's dream - they are just itching to learn commands. They are quite young, around 2 years old.   Abigale weighs 52 lbs and is a on the quiet side but loves meeting new people and dogs. She's happy to romp with Tyye when he insists but would be fine with smaller or less rambunctious playmates. She hasn’t met any cats but we'd bet that her gentle personality would be fine with them. Her nature will be protective and aware - perfectly friendly with strangers unless they are not safe. She'll be fine as an only dog as long as she has people, big or little, to look after.   Tyye is the bigger male who might look scary if he didn't have that one floppy ear! He weighs 67 lbs and is people obsessed! All he wants is to be around the nearest human and never leave their side unless it's to romp with other dogs. This is not a euphemism for being out of control! Even at his young age he is a respectful, sweet boy. He has also been unusually polite to other (more elderly or smaller) dogs and of course all the big and little people he has met. Tyye thinks the neighbor’s bunnies look pretty fun to chase but he is certainly intelligent enough to be cat trained. He is athletic and would love to have a playmate or be an adventure dog with his future family!   Both Tyye and Abby are new to living in a house and have been working on learning house manners, leash manners, and recall. It's delightful to watch. They immediately started using the dog door to go potty, and even without training they learn more literally every day. They are both naturally obedient and aching to learn commands.   If Tyye or Abigale sound like the perfect dog for you and your family, then apply to come and meet these darling desert dwellers today! @ https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplicationVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 23, 2026, 1:26 pm
