This dog was originally supposed to be my service dog but needs a lot more training then I can do. She acts like a puppy even though she's 4. She's sweet and friendly. She needs work with getting along with other animals. She has some food and water aggression.

Story
Hi, I'm Alexia! I'm a sweet, easygoing, and playful 10-year-old dog searching for my FURever home. I love playing with Jolly Balls, chasing balls and squirrels, working with a flirt pole, napping, and anything that squeaks. I'm food- and toy-motivated, which makes training fun and easy! I've learned many commands, including sit, lay down, wait, bed, kennel, come, touch, up-up, and shake, and I'm working on place, gentle, leave it, watch me, and drop it. I enjoy structured walks, playtime, belly rubs, scratches, and plenty of naps in my dog bed or kennel. I walk well on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and keep my foster home clean and intact. I can be a little reactive with dogs on walks or new visitors but am improving with training. I'd thrive in an active, loving, single-pet home with a fenced yard and someone experienced with working breeds. Bonus if you love fetch, long walks, and belly rubs! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Your New Shadow! ❤️   If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be part of every moment of your life, this sweet girl is ready to apply for the position. At approximately 2 years old and 70 pounds, this German Shepherd mix is equal parts loyal companion, gentle family dog, and professional stuffed-animal collector.   She has never met a stranger and greets everyone with the same sweet, loving personality. She’s incredibly patient with children, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, respects cats, and even does well around chickens. In short, she’s the kind of dog who seems determined to be friends with the entire world.   This girl is fully house trained, dog-door trained, and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home. She’s also highly food motivated, which makes learning new things fun and rewarding. Her favorite hobby? Carrying stuffed animals around the house like prized possessions. Whether she’s showing off her latest plush treasure or following you from room to room, she’s happiest when she’s included in the action.   She does have a significant heart condition and has been diagnosed with a Grade 5 heart murmur. She takes daily medication to help manage her condition, with medication costs averaging about $200 per month. Despite her medical needs, she continues to enjoy life to the fullest and doesn’t let her condition dampen her affectionate spirit.   What she wants most is simple: a family to love, a cozy spot near her people, and a few stuffed animals to carry around while supervising daily activities. If you’ve been searching for a loyal companion who will be by your side through everything, this sweet girl may be the perfect match.   Her Highlights: German Shepherd Mix, approximately 2 years old 70 pounds House trained, crate trained, and dog-door trained Wonderful with kids, dogs, cats, and chickens Extremely sweet and affectionate Food motivated and eager to please Loves stuffed animals Expert-level FOMO—she wants to be wherever you are Heart murmur managed with medication ($200/month)   This special girl is proof that sometimes the dogs who need a little extra care have the biggest hearts of all. ❤️ Apply today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 3, 2026, 5:49 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is My Tye – I guess my mom had a cocktail too many when she picked my name. But everyone just calls me Tye so that’s ok. I’m a 2.5 year old German Shepherd and weigh 75 lbs. I haven’t really been taught anything before I came to my foster home, which is a shame because I’m a typical GSD: intelligent & curious, athletic & high-energy, and thriving when you give me something to do. I’ve learned so much in the few days I’ve been here and am eager to keep going.  I’m house trained and crate trained and sleep all through the night; except, of course, when there are burglars, but luckily, we didn’t have any yet. I fetch balls even when you try to hide them and love to play with my toys. My favorite game is playing tug-of-war. And I have already learned to run through an agility tunnel! I’m still learning to walk on a leash. I love going on car rides and am learning to sit and wait when the door is opened. Once I’m worn out, I love to snuggle and hang out close to you.  I’m good with other large dogs but still a bit of an oaf and need to learn proper behavior around other dogs. I didn’t have interaction with small dogs yet. Same thing with kids: I’m good with the teenager in my home but haven’t met any little kids.  I’m looking for an active family with GSD or high-energy, large dog experience, with a strong commitment to training and socialization so I can become the awesome German Shepherd that is hiding in me. If you think I’m the right companion for you, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 6:23 pm

Ive had Rosie for over a year now, she originally wasn’t my dog but they gave me her. I love Rosie so much but unfortunately the allergies I get because of her are unbearable. Im hoping I can find her a good home with someone that could care and love her.
