Story
Hi, I'm Wednesday-a 4-year-old German Shepherd who's a little reserved right now, but I promise there's a wonderful dog waiting just beneath the surface. I know, I know-my name might make you think of stormy moods and gloomy looks, but really, I'm just waiting for someone to turn my "Wednesday" into a "sunnier day." The shelter has been a bit overwhelming for me, and I can get nervous in new situations, but once I feel safe, I'll start to relax and show you my sweet, loyal side. I'm sensitive, gentle, and quietly affectionate, and I dream of a calm home where I can take my time to trust and learn that people are kind. If you have patience, love, and a soft spot for soulful eyes, I think we could make every day feel like the best day of the week.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Tan Weight: 61 Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Hey there, I'm Silas-think of me as a diamond in the "ruff" just waiting for the right person to help me shine. I'm a 4-year-old German Shepherd with a big brain, a big heart, and maybe just a few nerves when meeting new friends. I can be a little bit of a wallflower at first (they say I'm more of a "silas observer" than a social butterfly), but once I trust you, I'll stick by your side like your shadow. I love looking to my person for direction and reassurance-it makes me feel safe and confident. I'm super smart and would do great with someone patient who can help me keep learning and feeling secure. I may not be the life of the party right away, but give me time, and I'll show you that the best things (and the best dogs) are worth waiting for.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 50 Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Hi, I'm Alexia! I'm a sweet, easygoing, and playful dog searching for my FURever home. I love playing with Jolly Balls, chasing balls and squirrels, working with a flirt pole, napping, and anything that squeaks. I'm food- and toy-motivated, which makes training fun and easy! I've learned many commands, including sit, lay down, wait, bed, kennel, come, touch, up-up, and shake, and I'm working on place, gentle, leave it, watch me, and drop it. I enjoy structured walks, playtime, belly rubs, scratches, and plenty of naps in my dog bed or kennel. I walk well on a leash, ride calmly in the car, and keep my foster home clean and intact. I can be a little reactive with dogs on walks or new visitors but am improving with training. I'd thrive in an active, loving, single-pet home with a fenced yard and someone experienced with working breeds. Bonus if you love fetch, long walks, and belly rubs! Let's create a lifetime of memories together!*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots program*Qualifies for Senior to Senior program"Please email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: Black Weight: 80 Age: 10yrs 3mths 4wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Mighty Mike, but my humans call me Mikey! I’m a very sweet and affectionate almost 5-year-old shepherd mix. Here are some of the best things about me: - I’m the biggest cuddle bug you’ll ever meet. If there’s a lap to be sat on I want to sit in it! I just love snuggling up to my humans. - I love going on walks and going for drives (I’m great in the car!). I also love pup cups, treats, taking naps, and chewing on bones! - I’m fully crate and potty trained, plus I know basic commands, but I would love to work on some training to learn even more. I’m a bit of a jumping jelly bean but we’re working on that! - I’m eager to please and pick up on training really quickly -  I do great with other dogs as long as they’re not too rambunctious. I like to play some, but mostly just want to do my own thing. I'd love to go to a loving family who will include me in their activities. I love all humans that I meet and do really well around kids, but sometimes I can get overly excited, so a home with kids over 8 years old would be best for me. And no kitties for me, please! Gia is a very good girl she loves cuddles and stuffed toys she is house trained and very smart, she does struggle when meeting strange dogs but does well after being introduced, she loves car rides and a good pup cup, shes great with kids and people and really bonds with women. She does have some allergies that make her itch we have tried different things to help but the thing that seems to help most is keeping her hair short. I wish I could keep her she is a amazing dog but I can no longer take care of her the way she needs due to person health
