Story
Daisy Mae is an adorable, loving & energetic big girl! She loves to play with large male dogs, squeaky toys, fetch balls and take long walks. Loves to hug and cuddle. She usually does not get along well with small dogs. She is great with children. She is inquisitive: loves to learn, run and play, as her mind has to be constantly engaged & stimulated with toys, brain games and activities. Daisy does very well & is known as a "Sweet Girl" at the Vet, Kennels, Boarding Facilities and Day Care with Group Play. She can be unleashed while doing yard work or walking to the mailbox. She has great table manners (she sits & gives a kiss before being served food and treats). Unfortunately, she is not getting along with my older & smaller female Amstaff. They both deserve to be in a good space - not separated. Ms. Daisy will thrive in an active household with children, room to run & play games, and/or with a large male dog or she may get creative. Will you be her Forever Home? Toys included.

Story
Zara is an energetic and affectionate girl looking for a forever home. She is a stunning mix of Belgian Malinois and German Shorthaired Pointer. Zara has inherited the best of both breeds: intelligence, athleticism, and a deep bond with her humans. Zara loves walks, playing, and watching tv. She is also a huge cuddle bug and loves to snuggle up for some cuddles. She is crate-trained, house trained, knows basic commands, and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved! Zara is the kind of dog who will make you laugh daily with her goofy zoomies, curiosity, and unconditional loyalty will quickly make her your best friend. She has got so much love to give and just needs the right person to give her a chance. She does well with other dogs, but would do best in a house with dogs more her size rather than smaller ones. She is a quiet dog and doesn't bark unless she really really needs your attention. She would be a great addition to any family.

Story
Meet Liam! He is an 5 year old Pointer mix who is looking for a forever home. He would make anyone a great hiking or running companion but he can also be a homebody. Whatever you need, he is up for! Liam is GREAT with kids and cats! However, he is dog selective. He does great in his foster home with her older, laid back dog, but he is not all about that puppy energy. He likes to do his own thing with his family and doesn't want to be bothered with other dogs. He currently shares his home with two blind cats, an older dog, and teenagers and he LOVES all little kids that he meets! If you are interested in adopting Liam, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY-A-1277 **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
Meet Remmi – A Playful, Loving Pointer Ready for His Next Adventure! Please join us in welcoming Remmi to Dirt Road Doggies Rescue! This gorgeous 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer is still settling in, and we’re getting his intake vet appointment and neuter scheduled, but we would love to find a foster, foster-to-adopt, or forever home for this special boy! True to his breed, Remmi is full of energy, love, and a touch of silliness—he’s always ready for fun! Whether it’s romping with other dogs, playing with kids, or soaking up affection from his people, Remmi’s joyful spirit shines through. While he’s great with dogs and adores children, he’s not a fan of cats, so he’ll thrive in a home without feline friends. Remmi is eager to find a family that matches his adventurous heart and will love him as much as he loves them. Could that be you? Come meet Remmi at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue and help him start his journey to a forever home! ##2382118##

Story
Allegra is a beautiful & friendly Pointer/Dalmation mix who was born Sept 2020. She loves to be outside, loves her toys, and loves playing fetch! She is a very smart girl & needs an experienced owner. She has had professional training, has good leash manners, and is looking for a home with an active person/family & a fenced yard. She is very energetic and would be a great running companion! She is people friendly, likes kids, and loves to get attention. She could easily knock small children over so older kids would be better. She is dog friendly and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but an only dog home would be OK for her. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed, fully vaccinated & microchipped.January 3, 2025, 6:28 pm
