Story
This perfect gentleman is ready for his forever home!! When we found Nash, he was caked in something that reeked of chemicals and decay... When we approached him, he melted into my arms🥹 Nash has done phenomenally with everyone he has met. He does well with dogs, although based on his interactions, It looks like he has had minimal exposure to other dogs in the past. He is very respectful of their boundaries. ✅2-4years old ✅good with dogs ✅good with people ✅crate trained ❌NO cats ❌no small kids (rescue rule for the safety of my dogs) For more info on Nash, fill out an adoption application here: https://www.handoverrover.com/adopt/

Story
Meet Honey! Honey is a beautiful 2 yr old female Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix who is extremely sweet and friendly to everyone, especially kids. She absolutely loves kids! Honey is good with most dogs she's met too but she prefers her little humans over everyone else. She even enjoys when they spend all day painting her nails and playing dress up. Honey has the perfect amount of energy, love, and affection for a family with kids and that's definitely her preference. If you're looking for that perfect dog for your kids to grow up with, apply to adopt Honey today on azdawgz.org

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. MOLLY is available! Molly is a 5-month old female Golden Doodle.  She is strong and needs training but she is smart and understood "sit" really fast.  Still needs some potty training but working on that.  Molly is friendly with other dogs but has not been around cats.  She has been around kids 10 and 14 years old but she jumps when excited and would probably knock over small children.  She needs a yard to run in.  Molly is not yet spayed, but AGR will handle that expense when she is of age.    All potential fosters and adopters must complete an application, pay the $25.00 application fee and have a home visit before being considered for any dog.  If you reside in Arizona and are interested in adopting a dog like this from Arizona Golden Rescue, we recommend that you visit our website and complete the Online Adoption Application to begin the process.    http://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption  WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. Once we receive your application and application fee, a home visit will be scheduled. Once your home visit is approved, you will be placed on our waiting list. (Please be aware that your application cannot be processed until the application fee is paid.) Our sole purpose is to find the perfect home for the dog as our dogs always come first.        Because we have new rescues coming in all the time, if the Golden that is the right dog for you is not available at this time it will probably come into Rescue and you would be notified of the availability.     Waiting times vary depending upon how specific your preferences are. The more you restrict the factors involved in choosing a dog – age, sex, coat color, etc. – the longer the wait may be before we find the perfect dog for you.  Please note: it is the policy of AGR not to place a dog less than 3 years of age with a family that has children less than 3 years of age.  If you have specific questions about our adoption process, please go to this link at our website.   https://arizonagoldenrescue.rescuegroups.org/info/display?PageID=20779  Arizona Golden Rescue is organized as an all-volunteer, non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. We are a charitable organization whose mission is to rescue displaced Golden Retrievers and mostly Golden mixes that have been abused, abandoned, neglected or unwanted and find new, loving, permanent homes for them. Rescued dogs are given a complete veterinary exam and their vaccines are updated; they are also micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, and tested for valley fever and heartworm. AGR provides emotional and medical rehabilitation and will pay for medications and for necessary surgeries. Through education at public appearances, AGR seeks to educate the public about the Golden Retriever breed and about responsible dog ownership, in order to help reduce the unwanted dog population.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 9, 2023, 4:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. CLARK is available! Clark is a 3-year-old male Golden/Lab mix. His prior family surrendered him due to the daughter's allergies.  Clark is a bit anxious when first meeting people, then warms up and is friendly, gentle, and very obedient.  He is already neutered.  Clark is  currently on Prozac and needs a home with a calm environment without a lot of change or commotion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. JAX is  available! Jax is a golden mix, between and 6 & 7 years old, weighing about 65#. Our best guess is he has some Aussie in him. He was a stray surrendered to us from another rescue that was full and asked us to find him a good home.  Jax makes you smile when you look at him.  He is crate trained and animated. Jax wags his tail and looks at you with those chocolate eyes and smiles. He has many good qualities like being affectionate, house trained, walking well on a leash, a happy disposition and, friendly to the people he knows.  He is reactive to other dogs, and therefore he will require an only dog home, no cats please. AGR has currently enrolled Jax in a "boot camp" training program; Jax is looking for an adopter(s) willing to continue the follow-up classes with him. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hello my name is Oscar!  I had a rough start to life. We know that momma was a brindle pit mix and I look nothing like her! In fact I look nothing like any of my siblings. Dad was just a one night stand. We were told that dad was a golden retriever that runs the streets in the neighborhood we got them from.  Oscar is a sweet boy who enjoys other dogs (big and small) and has been around cats. He enjoys playing with toys and hanging out on his dog bed.  If your interested in Oscar please fill out an application at bbshonor.rescuegroups.org Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 4, 2023, 12:08 am
