Maggie is a smart, outgoing girl with a calm and confident personality. She’s not aggressive at all and walks gently on a leash. Sometimes she may pause when she sees something new, but with a little time, she relaxes and keeps going. She loves her walks and does well with other dogs. Maggie is fully potty and house trained and prefers going out twice a day—morning and late afternoon. She’s very low maintenance and enjoys spending most of her time relaxing and napping. Maggie may be a mild flight risk and can be a little wiggly when it’s time to put on her leash, but once she knows it’s walk time, she’s happy to cooperate (and enjoys a little extra love too!). She’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will help her continue to grow into the best girl she can be. This pup lives in the house with his foster family where he's lovingly cared for while awaiting his forever home. Happy, playful, outgoing puppy! Full of fun and life, very confident and never meets a stranger. Well-socialized, growing up around kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Instruction has begun with crate training, housebreaking and leash walking. AKC registration. DOB is 12-16-25. Weighs about 10 pounds, healthy, altered and utd on shots. This is an adorable puppy with a happy, loving temperament who will make a great companion for a family who loves the breed. Here's a note from the foster mom: 'AWESOME PUPPY! Buster is a gorgeous Golden Retriever mix who is a young adult (about 2 years old). He lives with dogs of all sizes and gets along with everyone but he is dominant over food so I feed him separately. He also lives with cats and kittens and has never tried to chase them and doesn't really pay attention to them. He is low-to-medium energy in general but has the stamina to go on long hikes, etc. He is not a barker and not a jumper and not a bolter. He likes to be petted. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
