So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! Available for adoption! Hal has been treated for neurological tremors and still has some uncontroled movements but is able to eat on his own. He will be your shadow wanting your love & attention. He is all puppy, loves to run & play but will stop to cuddle if you ask. The family this precious furbaby selects as his own will be blessed! Good morning, Hal, here. I want to share with you my experience which has prepared me for a loving family and I hope if you are reading this you will feel compelled to consider adopting me! I started life unable to control myself, I was constantly boucing so much so that I could not even eat. I heard my owner say it would be kinder to surrender me to the shelter. My question was kinder to whom! Luckily for me (and my fursister with the same condition) I heard that Ming's assistant was going to bring us north and work with us to help us recover what ever control might be possible. She took us to a specialist who said we suffered from neurological issues but that there was no conventional treatment. But that was not the end of our quest for help as we got remedies from the Homeopath and Ming's assistant would hold us close to comfort us and make it possible for us to eat the chicken & rice meals she prepared. The road to recovery was long but the unending support of Ming & his assistant continued. I am happy to report that our issues are narly completely resolved. Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
