PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Zoey Anne Sweet girl that is reserved at timesNeeds home dedicated to her feeling secure. It doesn’t take much but needs consistency Not aggressive, but timid at times Loves to play with other dogs once familiarBest setting would allow her an area to play and be freeWants to be with her people Needs reassurance Does well in kennel once in. She once was in a kennel 24/7 so it’s not her favorite place Loves my kids ages 7-12. *She was just groomed yesterday so she looks different in some pics compared to others! Zoey is a beautiful Goldendoodle looking for her forever home! Zoey was surrendered to us with a litter of puppies. Her puppies are all adopted and now it's her turn. Zoey did not have the best life prior to coming into rescue. We believe in her first home she spent a lot of time crated and in her second home, we don't think she got much attention. Anyhow, in her foster home she's learned how to be a dog! She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids (currently fostered with kids 7 and older, we aren’t sure about kids younger than that). She is house trained (her foster home has a doggy door that she uses to go in and out when she needs/wants). We believe she's a young adult. She needs to continue to work on her manners. For example, she's a counter surfer and also has some puppy like behaviors (stealing shoes). She probably really never had a chance to be a puppy! She will need work on her leash manners as well. She will be well worth the work! She’s medium sized, 50ish pounds. She will be spayed on 5/20 and then she will be ready to go! She is UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am FridaysPort Jervis, NY 5am Fridays orSouthington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! In return for your family and love I will give you my WHOLE life of love and happiness. I mean, look into my gorgeous soulful eyes and ADOPT ME!!! My foster mom can tell you all about who I am and you can decide to adopt me! ***This dog has a special need from her family. Please identify how you will continue her special care when you adopt her- Noel has bilateral hip dysplasia as well as weakness in her back end. She gets around very well, but needs monitoring and a quiet home. She takes joint supplements daily for life and anti inflammatory meds.**** Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area. Temporary $50 fuel fee will be applied)

Story
Jackson is a 7-year-old Golden retriever mix. He has been a beloved member of our family since we adopted him from Petfinder 6 and 1/2 years ago. He does have aggression towards other dogs and would need to be in a home with no other dogs or cats or small children. We are looking to rehome Jackson due to my grandson who lives with me and has just turned a year old. The worry is far to overwhelming to take a chance of not knowing how he would react if a little child was to tug at him or try to take a toy from him etc. He has never shown aggression towards people but he is temperamental and unfortunalely I am not willing to take that risk. He has been my baby for the past six and a half years and I love him dearly and it breaks my heart to have to rehome him but I think it's the best option for our family. Jackson is a very loving dog who loves to go on walks and play with his toys which he gets from BarkBox every month. Anyone who gets Jackson would be the proud owner of a great dog.

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 28, 2024, 12:37 pm

Missy, Lost her Dad a year ago and now her mom has fallen ill and is now entering a nursing home. She wasn’t sure of me at first but some good pets and treats we were best friends. Missy is such a sweetheart all she wants is loving from you. She wants you to be outside with her while she does her thing but once she is done she wants to go in to get her belly rubs. She loves to go for walks, she never pulls on the leash. She would love to sit with her owners and keep the company. She has a cat sister and they hang out with each other. Missy is easy going and loves to be where ever you are. She is an easy going dog. Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet our girl Chai! She is a 3 year old English Setter and is looking for her furever home, could that be yours? She is a medium sized girl at 47lbs. Chai absolutely ADORES and craves human affection and attention. She will do best in an adult home where she will be a central part of her family with lots of human companionship during the day. Chai needs lots of room to safely run everyday. True to her breed, she is a high energy gal and needs her daily exercise. She loves to race around with her toys in our fenced play yard. Chai seems to like calm dogs that play gently and may not mind a calm medium sized canine friend in her home. No cats or small dogs for Chai please. For more information about how to make this sweet girl your next 4-legged family member, please contact Tracey at tracey.d@poainc.org and complete an adoption application at www.poainc.org.
