This boy is a social butterfly, he plays beautifully with dogs, passed a daycare evaluation with flying colors, and has that “let’s be friends!” vibe from go. Other scenarios can look different, passing a dog in a tight hallway, driving by a dog on the sidewalk, or a cutie friend across the street- this is when Reggie’s friendly nature gets the best of him and he looses his best-boy manners. Sounds like my five year old son in some ways. He will make it clear he wants to meet that dog usually by pulling himself their way or even barking, and given his size, if you are unaware of this it can be a lot to manage. This isnt Reggie being reactive, he just gets excited and frustrated that life isn’t all dog-parks and friends so spontaneous playmates could just happen. Basically, he wants to get to the exciting new friend, not hurt it. Knowing this, here is what Reggies best-match home looks like: • A quieter environment (ideally a house, or at least low dog-traffic walks) where training can actually happen without constant surprises. • A person who’s ready to keep building on his training. . This is easy to remedy with secure buckling and a ‘car-calm” practice but i will tell you, its hard to be mad when you know he is just so excited by the big-wide-world and everything int it. Maggie is a smart, outgoing girl with a calm and confident personality. She’s not aggressive at all and walks gently on a leash. Sometimes she may pause when she sees something new, but with a little time, she relaxes and keeps going. She loves her walks and does well with other dogs. Maggie is fully potty and house trained and prefers going out twice a day—morning and late afternoon. She’s very low maintenance and enjoys spending most of her time relaxing and napping. Maggie may be a mild flight risk and can be a little wiggly when it’s time to put on her leash, but once she knows it’s walk time, she’s happy to cooperate (and enjoys a little extra love too!). Hi, I’m Bernadette Peters, aka Ms Peters aka Bernie. I am a 56lbs golden retriever mix, around 6-8 yrs old. I, like my name sake, the movie star, am a petite golden beauty. The only difference between us is that I am not famous and I have an unknown history. You see, I was found wandering the streets of San Antonio and ended up at the shelter. A nice rescue lady fell in love with me just in the nick of time and got me out of that place! I am now happily in foster care and looking for my furever family. More about me… I am a female golden retriever (possibly mixed?) who is estimated to be 6-8 years old. I was found wandering with a large mass on my abdomen. It has been removed and the pep in my step has returned! I am approximately 56 pounds and very strong and active. I would do great in a home with an active family as I love all adults, children and dogs, large and small. I would also do okay in an apartment as I am not much of a barker and I prefer to stay inside. I love to go for walks and hikes with my foster mother but I tend to pulI so I am learning to walk better with a gentle leader harness. I love toys, playing tug of war, and car rides. I am extremely food motivated and learn quickly. I know a few basic commands already. I am fully vetted, spayed, and even have been given a 12-month heartworm and flea prevention injection. I am fully house broken and doggy door trained. As you can see, I am a well rounded beautiful gal who loves my peeps! Connor is a 7 week old male purebred AKC Golden Retriever who was surrendered with his brothers by their owner in rural Arkansas. This pup lives in the house with his foster family where he's lovingly cared for while awaiting his forever home. Happy, playful, outgoing puppy! Full of fun and life, very confident and never meets a stranger. Well-socialized, growing up around kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Instruction has begun with crate training, housebreaking and leash walking. AKC registration.  DOB is 12-16-25. Weighs about 10 pounds, healthy, altered and utd on shots. This is an adorable puppy with a happy, loving temperament who will make a great companion for a family who loves the breed. Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
