Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Yes, older childrenCrate trained: MostlyHouse trained: YesBuster is a big boy with a big, goofy, lovable personality. He is a high energy dog that needs an experienced, confident adopter to help him burn off that excess energy. He will look to you for direction on how to be his best self.Buster has worked very hard on training and structure in his foster home. Once he learns your boundaries and settles in, he really shines. Buster is incredibly affectionate and loves to cuddle. His favorite things are treats, playing, and people who pet him.Buster is extremely social and sometimes has trouble containing his excitement. As a result, he can be reactive on leash to other animals (including dogs) and cars driving by. His foster has seen great improvement on his reactivity to cars and will need an adopter dedicated to continuing his training.Buster loves other dogs and is working on listening to dog cues when playing. He currently lives with another dog in his foster home and would do well with a playful, tolerant doggy sibling or as an only dog.Buster sleeps through the night in his crate and is good in the crate during the day. However, he can be vocal when he can’t greet guests. Because of this, he would do well in a home without nearby neighbors or neighbors who will appreciate as he sings the song of his people. He loves toys of all sorts (and is always down for a game of tug-of-war), but can become a bit too excited at times, so he would do best in a home with older children.Buster will be a fantastic, loyal companion. If you’re looking for satisfying work and quite a few laughs, Buster is your guy! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.March 27, 2024, 6:02 am
