Story
Hello! My name is Dillyn Mae and I’m a very pretty girl who just arrived from Alabama!! I was very happy to join 2 of my siblings already at my foster home. I’ve been around a lot of dogs my first year of life so I think I would do best if I can have another dog to love. My human mom thinks I’ve never been in a house before but she says I’m doing great! I’ve learned to go up the stairs and I even sleep in the big bed with my human family! I need more time on the leash, I’m still nervous walking on leash but can you blame me? It’s all new in my world! Please give me a chance….I have so much love to give!!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $400To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Hi there! My name is Pumpkin, and I've officially declared 2026 as MY year—time for new beginnings and a fresh start that's long overdue! I've spent most of my life in a kennel without much outside time or the love every dog deserves, but that chapter is behind me now. I'm ready to write a brand-new story! Step 1: The Great Adventure from Alabama to Minnesota ✓ COMPLETE! I've hitched my ride north and am settling in beautifully with my foster family. While I get along just fine with my two canine foster siblings, what really makes my tail wag is parking myself right next to my foster parents for premium petting sessions. When they dare to stop, I politely remind them with a gentle paw tap that my belly won't scratch itself! I'm fully kennel trained and actually love my cozy den for naps and nighttime snoozing. Overall, I'm a pretty calm, laid-back lady who believes life is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Step 2: Operation Forever Family (This is where you come in!) I'm convinced I'd fit in with just about any family, making me the easiest choice you'll ever make! I haven't met any kids yet, but honestly, they sound amazing—more hands for petting and treat distribution! Since I'm more of a "Netflix and chill" kind of gal than a "run marathons" type, I don't really need a fenced yard. I walk well on a leash and would love to be your walking buddy. Full disclosure though—I'm still carrying some holiday weight (those Christmas cookies were irresistible), so I'd be thrilled to join you in any New Year's fitness resolutions. My foster parents haven't heard me bark even once, which means I come with built-in volume control! I've already conquered Step 1 of my master plan, and now I just need your help with Step 2. Will you be part of making 2026 my most pawsome year yet? Pumpkin is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Her treatment has been completed and she will need a Heartworm test every 2 months to follow up on her treatment progress until she has a negative result. During these months, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise. Pumpkin will also need continued use of monthly Heartworm prevention going forward. These medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi! I’m Dixie and I am just as cute as can be! I’ve just arrived from Alabama. I was very happy to see my brother in the same foster home! My foster mom thinks that I’ve never been in a home before but I’m adjusting pretty quickly. It only took 2 days to master the stairs. I was so excited cuz now I get to sleep in the big bed with my human mom and dad! I’ve only had one accident the very first night of being in my new home, I was just kinda nervous. My foster mom says I’m getting so much better getting leashed up and walking everyday. My doggy brother is bigger than me and he lets me jump on him all the time. He is so gentle and good to me! He spoils me!I do best with other dogs who are not overly dominant. I require a fenced-in yard to help with my transition into my new forever home. Please give me a chance and I will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty!Dixie is Heartworm positive and is waiting for a negative test result which can take 2-9 months after treatment. Story
Hello! I am Didi and I am a fun loving sweet sweet girl! I just came up from Alabama and I’m trying to figure out what this dreadfully cold weather is all about. I’m not a total fan of it but my humans still make me go outside to do my business. I did have one accident the very first night but who can blame me?!My human family thinks that I’ve never been in a home before. I’m very curious and like to check everything out. I’ve only gone up the big stairs halfway but I know I’ll be fine soon enough. My family loves going on walks but they said we are going to wait just a few more days for it to warm up. So I’m not sure how I will be but I bet pretty good!I love playing with the other foster doggy in my new home. We are very playful together! My mom puts me in a kennel when she leaves for work just to make sure I get this potty training business down pat!My mom can tell I’m a really good happy dog! Please give me a chance. I will give you a lifetime of love!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Iris is a gentle, soulful girl who is quietly rewriting her story—one brave step at a time. Since entering foster care several weeks ago, she has shown just how much determination and courage lie beneath her soft exterior. Iris is still learning about the world, and while sudden noises or fast movements may cause her to pause, she isn’t overwhelmed by them. Instead, she takes a moment to process and keeps going. That quiet resilience defines her. Learning to trust people is Iris’s biggest journey, and she’s likely been let down by humans in the past. Her progress isn’t measured in leaps, but in meaningful, hard-earned moments. Every day, she’s gently exposed to something new, and every day she shows us she’s willing to try. Recently, Iris went on an outing to a store—riding calmly in the car and walking into a busy, unfamiliar environment that was intimidating for her. She was nervous, but she stayed present, walked through the front of the store, and even allowed several kind strangers to pet her. Though unsure, Iris chose courage. She didn’t try to bolt or shut down, and that alone speaks volumes about her potential. At home, the most beautiful changes are happening. Iris is in the very early stages of initiating contact on her own—small, quiet moments that might be easy to miss but mean everything to a dog learning to trust. These moments are the beginning of a bond that, with the right person, will grow into something truly special. One area where Iris already shines is on leash. She walks like an absolute dream and enjoys longer walks each day. She would be an excellent companion for someone who loves peaceful strolls and understands the joy of simply being together. Iris is incredibly gentle —just a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe. Iris is looking for a patient, understanding home that will allow her to move at her own pace, celebrate the small victories, and appreciate the beauty of a slow-growing bond. She doesn’t need fixing—she needs someone who believes that trust, once earned, is one of the most powerful forms of love. Want to learn more? https://ragom.org/dogs/iris-25-161/

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Creamsicle – The Golden-Hearted Girl Who Never Stopped Believing in Love At around 9 months old and 48 pounds, Creamsicle is a beautiful Golden Retriever–Great Pyrenees mix who somehow ended up with all the Golden personality and only the Pyrenees fluff. Sweet, friendly, eager, affectionate—this girl is sunshine in dog form. If Golden Retrievers had a motivational speaker division, Creamsicle would be the CEO. But her start wasn’t golden at all. Creamsicle spent her whole puppyhood tied to a tether outside a trailer, watching the world from a spot of dirt she never deserved. No toys. No soft beds. No one to run to. No one to run with. And yet… her heart never quit. When she first came to us, she had a little food aggression around other dogs—understandable when you’ve never known if your next meal was guaranteed. But with time, consistency, and the realization that she’s finally safe, Creamsicle has blossomed beautifully. She’s now doing wonderfully with her dog friends and has never shown an ounce of aggression toward people. Humans, in her eyes, are made of magic—especially the ones willing to pet her. And oh, does she love to be loved. She leans in, she wiggles, she smiles with her whole face. She gives love like she’s been storing it up for months—because she has. Creamsicle deserved so much more than what she got in her puppy months, but she refuses to dwell on the past. She’s too busy soaking up cuddles, handing out kisses, and living her best “I’m finally free!” life. Her capacity for forgiveness and joy would put most of us to shame. This girl is resilient, goofy, grateful, and ready. Ready for a family. Ready for a home. Ready to love—and to be loved back. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, funny, deeply affectionate companion with a heart big enough to light up your whole house… Creamsicle is your girl. Apply today at haydududeequine.org, and get ready to welcome a brave, bouncy, golden-hearted miracle into your arms, heart and home!! 🐾
