Hi, I'm Goldie. I know I'm black, but don't let that fool you. I am a golden doodle - a mix of a golden retreiver and a poodle. And, I have the sweet personality and smarts to prove it. I'll be the best dog of a lifetime for the lucky person who adopts me. I just weaned my 9 puppies and I'm still young myself. So, I'm ready to be moving on. I'm scheduled to be spayed on Friday, August 14. I can be pre-adopted or go into foster-to-adopt in the meantime. If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. You can also reserve an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have visits scheduled, so appointments help ensure I’ll be available. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, and we welcome adopters from any state. We have access to a transport to Aurora, CO. Other outofstate adopters either travel to Missouri or arrange & pay for air transport. Virtual meetandgreets are available on the appointment request. ##2780676##

Story
Meet Money! Money is a fun-loving Goldendoodle with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's a smart, affectionate boy with lots of puppy energy who loves to run, play, and be part of whatever his people are doing. True to his doodle nature, Money is happiest when he's by your side. He's the kind of dog who will happily follow you from room to room, always wanting to be included. If you're looking for a loyal shadow and constant companion, Money is your guy. Money is incredibly intelligent and eager to learn. He knows a few tricks, understands commands well, and is house-trained. He's been raised around children, but because he's young, energetic, and can jump when he's excited, he'll do best with older kids who won't be easily knocked over. His foster family has also shared that his energy level can be a bit much for very young children. Like many young doodles, Money thrives with plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation. He enjoys having a fenced yard to run around in and will do best with a family that can keep him active and continue his training. He's not a fan of his crate right now and would benefit from patient, positive reinforcement to help him become more comfortable with it over time. His owner made the difficult decision to surrender him because work leaves little time to give him the attention and activity he deserves. They wanted him to have the opportunity to find a family that can provide the time, love, and active lifestyle he's looking for. Money is searching for a home where he'll be included as part of the family. In return, he'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless companionship, and all the lovable, goofy charm that makes doodles so special. ##2803575##

Story
Goldie is a 4 1/2 year old 60 pound golden doodle. She is the most loving dog in the entire world. All she wants is to give love non stop and receive your love in return. She enjoys going on walks and going to the dog park. She would do best in a home with kids who can give her lots of attention. She also is used to having another dog around for companionship. She does not like male dogs! She would do best with a smaller female dog in the home.

Story
PJ has so much love to give. He is a sweet cuddlebug and loves playing fetch, taking naps in the sun, and snacks. He is also a very fearful, anxious guy. He stresses every second I am not home and this arrangement is not good for him or me. This behavior manifests as constant barking and marking inside the house. He is too nervous of strange dogs and people for doggy daycare or dog parks. He needs a home with folks who know more about reactivity in dogs and can dedicate time to working with him. He has Nodular Granulomatous Episcleritis, which just means he will need ongoing checkups with an ophthalmologist but it is well managed with daily eye drops. He is 4 years old and 70 lbs, he has a tighter curly coat and does not shed but that does mean he needs regular grooming. He has lived with cats his whole life, he also gets along well with other dogs in the home. I do not know how he is with kids. He is a velcro dog, where you go, so does he. He knows basic obedience.

Story
🐾 Meet Millie - A Sweet, Gentle 7‑Year‑Old Golden Doodle Looking for a Loving Local Family Age: 7 years Breed: F1 Golden Doodle (black, soft tightly curled coat) Sex: Female, spayed, microchipped Location: Colorado Springs, CO Millie is calm, gentle, on the submissive side, and takes a minute to warm up. She rarely barks, is extremely patient, and has a sweet, shadow‑like nature. She is playful, fully house‑trained, knows basic commands, very low‑maintenance, and in excellent health. She is an indoor dog who enjoys the outdoors and prefers staying near her people. Ideal Home: Loving family, a fenced grassy yard, gentle energy, and would do well with another calm, mellow dog; consistent company, not left home alone for long stretches or in a kennel often. A family willing to follow a 2-week transition plan. Reason to rehome: Full-time ownership was put on me by my ex-wife. I live in a townhome with no yard. There is a mismatch of needs. Only open to the right fit home.

Story
**Meet Mishka!** Mishka is a loving, affectionate Standard Poodle looking for an active forever home. She would thrive with someone who enjoys the outdoors, has a large, securely fenced yard, and can spend plenty of time with her. She is highly intelligent, eager to please, and learns quickly with consistent training. Mishka is current on all vaccinations. She generally gets along well with dogs her size or larger and may enjoy a compatible canine companion. She would benefit from an owner who can continue reinforcing her leash manners and reliable recall. She is not a good fit for dog parks, as she is reactive toward smaller dogs and may bark and lunge at them. She is also naturally alert and vocal, making her an excellent watchdog. Mishka's ideal family will provide structure, regular exercise, mental stimulation, high-quality nutrition, and lots of love. In return, she'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship.

Story
We took Charli in from my best friend's aging parents after they were both told they would need knee replacements. They were sad to say goodbye to Charli as their only dog, but would not be able to walk her or play with her in the same way. She was 14 weeks at the time, and is now about 5 months old. Charli is up to date on her vaccines but hasn't been spayed due to her age (I believe she is eligible now). Charli is incredibly sweet and smart. She loves to play and cuddle. The only reason we are looking to rehome her is due to my husband taking a new job that will require him in the office 5 days a week vs previously working from home. Charli seems to have separation anxiety - she doesn't destroy, she just cries. She does well with our 6 year old Goldendoodle and adores our teenage girls. Charli loves meeting new people and dogs. We are looking for a family with a good yard and who have time to be with her during the day and want to continue to train her since she is so smart!
