Female, Senior
Firestone, CO
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained,
Sadie is a healthy 11 year old spayed goldendoodle. She is a second generation doodle which means she doesn’t shed and is hypoallergenic. She is house trained, amazing with babies-kids. Great guard dog. Good with other dogs. Curious with cats. No vices (drooling, jumping, chewing, licking). She saw the vet this month for her annual check up and is updated on her shots. Vet said she is healthy minus some arthritis in her back which can cause her to be sore sometimes if she plays too hard. The vet said we can give her dog aspirin for the soreness if we need to.

Female, 10 mos
Sedalia, CO
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Good with kids, Good with dogs,
Goldie is your typical sweet, friendly, and lively Goldendoodle. She greets everyone with a tail wag and is being fostered with two children and two small dogs.  She has made a lot of progress with her foster family in the last two weeks, but will need continued training. She is learning not to pull on her leash, and to settle in her kennel and is doing well. She still needs to learn not to jump up when she gets excited, but she is very smart and capable. Goldie will need supervision while she learns not to eat objects that she finds around the house, and to be kenneled while she is home alone or can't be supervised.  She loves to go on long walks, play with toys and be around people. Goldie keeps a clean kennel, sleeps through the night, and goes potty outside. While on walks, she gets eager to greet other dogs and will bark, so she will need her new family to work on this with her.  Overall, Goldie has a great foundation and is very intelligent. She loves everyone and will be a great companion.  Goldie was an owner surrender due to having eaten things she wasn't supposed to and needing them surgically removed.  Meet and greets are by appointment only.  An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here:  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - ##2040579##
Photo of Sophie

Female, Adult
Woodland Park, CO
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
This is our beautiful Sophie. She is a 3.5 year old apricot Goldendoodle. She is an Amish rescue and needs lots of love and training. Due to health reasons, we are moving to Chicago and can’t take her with us. Sophie is so smart and loving. Everyday she is making great strides to come out of her shell. She will do well with a family that has other dogs and a large fenced in yard. Sophie is leash trained and loves nothing better than to walk with you. However, she is verbal command and still does not eat treats out of your hand.
