Story
Meet Astro! This sweet boy was turned in to the shelter by his family as they lived in military housing and were about to welcome a baby. Unfortunately, the 29 Palms shelter has limited resources and little space for a dog of Astro's size. ASR stepped in and found a foster for Astro that had land and space for him to romp around on. Astro is a true gentle giant. He is friendly with people, dogs, and cats. He walks well on a leash and is working on taking commands and directions. He is treat-motivated and loves his ball. He is smart and rides well in the car. At around 3 years old, this sweet boy weighs a whomping 120 lbs. Astro has all the fantastic attributes of a Great Dane. Could Astro be the mini horse you've been looking for? If interested in meeting Astro, please apply on our website.

Oden is a wonderful and growing Great Dane puppy. He spent the first five months of his life on a 5 to 6 foot chain. So when he arrived at the shelter, he did not have a lot of manners. But he is sweet as all get out. He is loving, playful, and just wonderful!

Story
Oden is a wonderful and growing Great Dane puppy. He spent the first five months of his life on a 5 to 6 foot chain. So when he arrived at the shelter, he did not have a lot of manners. But he is sweet as all get out. He is loving, playful, and just wonderful! **** Please read adoption information carefully!!!**** Odin is a stunningly handsome little boy -male, 7 months -supposedly pure-bread, -Neutered -Current Weight : 90 lbs, will grow -Crate trained -Potty trained Odin is a big, funny bundle of joy, energy, and affection. He is just a big goofball! Odin is still a puppy, and will continue to grow. He is on the bigger side, but has an abundance of affection and cuteness! Odin is a well-adjusted puppy who has been hand raised. He has never shown any signs of aggression of any kind, including food aggression, although he can occasionally be a little rambunctious. He really thinks that he is a little dog…. ? Odin wants to be a lapdog; he can’t quite figure out why he doesn’t fit in my lap, but he settles for putting his head in my lap, since the rest of him doesn’t fit 😜 Odin is used to playing and sleeping with the other dogs on the property. He is well socialized, both with humans and dogs. While I have never seen him interact with a cat, I have no reason to anticipate a problem. ************************************ ADOPTION INFORMATION ************************************ I only adopt LOCALLY; San Diego and immediate vicinity. Story
Taco is a senior Great Dane with continence issues. He needs to go out frequently to avoid accidents. He needs someone who can stay home with him, preferably has a yard. He’s 8 years old and we’ve had him since he was a puppy. We both work full time and it’s unfair to him to be inside having accidents all day and we don’t have a yard for him. He deserves more attention in the time he has left. He’s an old man that just likes to eat, have some ice cubes/treats and sleep. He’s very loving, goofy, and cuddly.
