His foster says he likes everyone he meets and can’t get enough back scratches. He loves to run and play and would enjoy having a fenced in yard or a family that is active. Timber is great with children, he doesn’t know he’s a big boy so older children may be best for him. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will cuddle with as long as you want. Timber does prefer to be the only dog because he loves his people so much. Timber would be an amazing addition to your family and being nothing but love and laughter and sloppy kisses. Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Cheeto. He is a 6 month old Great Dane mix. He is 67 pounds right now and may be 80 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. This cutie is Heath Bar. He is currently 3 months old and weighs approximately 17 pounds. We think they may be a Great Dane/ German Shepherd mix*, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies.
