Maverick is a 3 year old Great Dane mix. His DNA results came back as 60%PitBull 30%Great Dane and 7%Rhodesian Ridge Back. He is a GOOFY, fun loving boy who has lots of energy to burn. He loves to spend hours chewing on a bone and playing with his toys. Maverick went to a 6 week board and training program and his trainer will meet with his new family to bring them up to speed on his commands. It breaks our hearts more than words can describe to have to make this choice but he is not good with small children and we have a 3 month old. I fear the more mobile she gets the bigger the risk of something unfortunate happening are. He really is the sweetest, funniest dog I have ever had. I hope he can find a family who suits his needs. Under no circumstances should he be in a home with another dog or children under the age of 13. He has grown up around my cat but I would introduce on leash.

Cassie is a truly special dog who is looking for her forever home. Cassie is an extremely loving 1.5-year-old, 48 lb mixed breed. She is believed to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Cassie has faced some challenges; she is deaf and has impaired vision. Adding to this, she was sadly abandoned in a house in South Carolina after a hurricane last fall and has now been searching for a home for over a year. Despite her past, Cassie is a resilient and affectionate girl. Her favorite activity is snuggling with her people on the couch, and she is fully housetrained. She also enjoys car rides, toys, and playing in the yard. Our trainer is committed to continuing her training with her new family. Cassie is seeking a home that is ready to embrace a special needs dog and, in return, receive endless love and companionship. Timber is a stunning brindle mastiff/ Great Dane mix who absolutely adores people! He has a goofy personality to him that lights up the room. His foster says he likes everyone he meets and can’t get enough back scratches. He loves to run and play and would enjoy having a fenced in yard or a family that is active. Timber is great with children, he doesn’t know he’s a big boy so older children may be best for him. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will cuddle with as long as you want. Timber does prefer to be the only dog because he loves his people so much. Timber would be an amazing addition to your family and being nothing but love and laughter and sloppy kisses. Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In Arkansas, but can transport to New England area. Tango is a big, young Great Dane mix. He is a wonderful dog with a gentle demeanor. He is amazing with kids, as well as other dogs. He was adopted from us as a young puppy, and his family absolutely adored him. His family, which included a little boy around 4-5 years old, did a fantastic job raising him. They trained him and gave him everything he needed to be the best boy. Sadly, the little boy and the dad of the family developed a severe allergy to dogs. It was so bad that dad ended up in the hospital. So they had to surrender Tango back to us. Since then he has been in a foster home. He's OK, but hes confused and sad and is experiencing some anxiety, understandably. He just wants to be with people, but in his current foster situation he has to be crated a lot of the time. This is hard on him because he did not have to be crated in his former home. He isn't destructive and is honestly just such a good dog. But due to other dogs in the foster home, this is the best we can do. Tango really needs a home of his own where he can devote himself to truly loving his people again, and can be part of the family. He is 2 years old and weighs about 95 lbs. But he has been taught from early on to be gentle. His favorite person in the world was his 'little brother' and he was so good with him. His heart is broken right now because he doesn't understand why he's not with his family any more. Please help us heal his heart. He needs a new foster home where he can be allowed more freedom in the home, or he needs an adopter who will love him and help him heal from this heart break. We will waive his adoption fee for the right home. Please share. Located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays.
