Story
Timber is a stunning brindle mastiff/ Great Dane mix who absolutely adores people! He has a goofy personality to him that lights up the room. His foster says he likes everyone he meets and can’t get enough back scratches. He loves to run and play and would enjoy having a fenced in yard or a family that is active. Timber is great with children, he doesn’t know he’s a big boy so older children may be best for him. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will cuddle with as long as you want. Timber does prefer to be the only dog because he loves his people so much. Timber would be an amazing addition to your family and being nothing but love and laughter and sloppy kisses. Timber Is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com

Story
Winston was rescued as a puppy living life in a crate. He was brought home to relatives who are both wheelchair-bound. This puppy grew into a Great Dane, lol! Winston is currently more than his adult owners can physically keep up with. He is trained to an electronic collar so he can run around his country yard and play with the other dog from the house. He is good with kids and loves to sit on the couch like a human, with his front paws resting on the ground. He is a big happy gentle giant looking for a home that can help him expend his energy better. He is loves his toys and would especially love a person to play with him and a lap that he can sit on, lol! If you’re looking for a big gentle giant, please contact irondawgs13@gmail.com for adoption application.

Story
Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Cheeto. He is a 8- month old Great Dane mix. He is 83 pounds right now and may be 100 pounds full grown. Cheeto is a great dog. He knows sit and shake a paw. He is decent on a leash. He loves treats and will sit when asked to with a treat. He loves the lady kennel workers. He is timid which is common in this breed but he is very friendly and affectionate. He would be great with someone that knows and understands this wonderful breed. He was found on the streets of Texas and was taken in by a good Samaritan. He can go with children. We like them to 8 or older. He would love to be a companion for the right family. He will love being a house dog and he is energetic but not for too much time and he settles down nicely. If you have a fenced back yard, he can get enough exercise exploring it. He could also go on walks. He does pull some but he really wants to do what you are asking so consistency with him will work wonders. He is currently neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Cassie is a truly special dog who is looking for her forever home. Cassie is an extremely loving 1.5-year-old, 48 lb mixed breed. She is believed to be a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Cassie has faced some challenges; she is deaf and has impaired vision. Adding to this, she was sadly abandoned in a house in South Carolina after a hurricane last fall and has now been searching for a home for over a year. Despite her past, Cassie is a resilient and affectionate girl. Her favorite activity is snuggling with her people on the couch, and she is fully housetrained. She also enjoys car rides, toys, and playing in the yard. Our trainer is committed to continuing her training with her new family. Cassie is seeking a home that is ready to embrace a special needs dog and, in return, receive endless love and companionship. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
