Story
Meet George! He is a 10 month old, Blue, Great Dane. He is the sweetest guy you could ever meet. He wants nothing more in life but all of your love and attention. He is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping him continue his training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. He would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep him from getting bored. Most of all he just wants to be with his family. He is house trained and crate trained. George neighborhood walks, playing toys and relaxing with his people on the couch. George does well with other dogs when introduced properly. He is very much a puppy and could accidentally knock over young children with his playfulness. Children over 10 years old preferred. George is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ George is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
Potato’s ready to find his forever people!   Potato is a 4 year old Great Dane. He weighs about 120 pounds! Potato is good with other dogs. Potato would do best with kids 12+ as he is a big guy that could potentially knock younger kiddos over. We are not sure how potato is with cats so we feel it would be best if he went to a feline free home. Potato is house broken and crate trained, but he is not destructive at all! Potato is a pretty active guy that loves to run around the yard and go for walks, so he would love a home that will give him plenty of playtime and exercise. Potato is a big goofy guy with so much personality. He loves getting lots of attention and snuggling up on the couch with you. Potato needs a family that is familiar with providing structure and boundaries.  We will not be considering first time dog owners for potato! We would prefer his adopter owns their home and would love previous extra large breed experience.  If you would like to welcome Potato home, please visit our website and fill out an application.  Astdogrescue.com ##1731934##

Story
Timber is a stunning brindle mastiff/ Great Dane mix who absolutely adores people! He has a goofy personality to him that lights up the room. His foster says he likes everyone he meets and can’t get enough back scratches. He loves to run and play and would enjoy having a fenced in yard or a family that is active. Timber is great with children, he doesn’t know he’s a big boy so older children may be best for him. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will cuddle with as long as you want. Timber does prefer to be the only dog because he loves his people so much. Timber would be an amazing addition to your family and being nothing but love and laughter and sloppy kisses. Timber Is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com

Story
Big, beautiful Gail is still waiting on her forever family to find her. She's a young adult, around 2 years old, with the energy of a puppy and has no idea of her size (around 125 pounds). Gail is very sweet, loves to hang out with her foster parents, is very curious, eager to please and loves to play. She's good with other dogs, and is house and crate trained. Gail likes to chase cats so she will need a house without them. Because of her size and energy, a home with children over 12 would be the best fit. A fenced yard will be necessary unless you can prove you are able to properly satisfy her exercise needs in other ways. Gail needs someone who is willing to continue to work with her on basic manners, as she still pulls on the leash when she's excited and jumps up to play. Mental and physical exercise are a must for this gorgeous love-bug! Gail is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Gail is fostered in GA and will be attending our Adoption Event at the Durham Fairgrounds. Save time, fill out an Application to be preapproved to adopt at our event. Preapproved adopters may schedule appointments to meet dogs on Friday, May 17th. Our pets are in CT, GA and PA foster homes. Dogs in PA may be able to come to CT prior to the event to meet adopters. Dogs in GA will arrive right before the event so you must come to the event to meet them. Fill out an online application to start the adoption process. Adoption Event May 17-19th Durham Fairgrounds 24 Townhouse Rd Durham, CT. Open Appointments Only: Friday, May 17, 2-6pm Open: Saturday, May 18, 9-4 pm Open: Sunday, May 19, 9-1 pm

Story
Welcome Plainer to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 4-year-old Great Dane. She came in with a male Great Dane and she does great with him. She has a little grey on her muzzle and she smiles and wrinkles her nose. She then puts her head in your hands. It was startling the first time we saw her wrinkle her nose. We thought it was a negative indicator but the more we worked with her the more we knew it was her way to smile. She is adorable. She is moderately active and would be fine with a lower energy family. She will be fine as an only pet and she would be fine with children. She is an adult so you won’t have all the puppy antics to put up with. She is good in her crate and good on a leash. She is currently going to be cleared for the heartworms and then spayed and readied for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
