Need to find this loving boy a home. He is amazing and super loving, however due to a change in living situations we can no longer give him a good place to live. We are hoping to find someplace that he is happy with and someone that knows the breed well.

Story
Hello, hello! I’m Odette, and you are…? I bet you are wondering how a dog like me wound up in the hands of a rescue group. Well, I was found by San Antonio Animal Care Services after being hit by a car. I was in rough shape with a broken front leg as well as having great difficulty using my back end. Fortunately, the shelter provided me with much-needed analgesics and gave me a little time to see how I might recover. After about a week I was able to rise. I won the hearts of the shelter workers and they started their campaign of finding me a rescue or eligible adoption placement. Something about my pitiful face, tattered ears, and bum leg prompted SNIPSA to take a chance on me. Fast forward and x-rays showed not only did I have a fractured radius and ulna, but I also suffered a traumatic tear to my ACL. The kind doctor at STVS put my front leg back together with a metal bone plate and lots of screws (I don’t want to count but I saw the x-ray and wow that’s a lot of metal for a girl like me). Now I spend countless hours as a “couch hog” resting and dreaming about my days of frolicking through green pastures. Down the road, I will have my knee repaired but for now, I am doing quite fine. I love to explore the backyard and have especially enjoyed all our beautiful sunshine. I am putting on some weight and my coat is ever so shiny. Docile, curious, regal, and kind – I am a fantastic specimen of a dog. I love everyone I meet and don’t quite understand that my large head can take up almost your entire lap. My long legs fill up the entire back seat and my shoulders sit well above your knees. I love kids and other dogs alike, and am just happy to be alive. Being a Great Dane mix, I am gentle, loyal and a little goofy. The more you read about my breed, the more you will grow to love us. You may notice that my adoption fee is slightly higher due to all the extra medical care I have received. I have been lucky to have a great team supporting me along the way and look forward to the day when I will find my forever people. So, won’t you consider adopting me? Although you may have to buy a little extra dog food or invest in a family sized dog bed, I promise not to disappoint. I am in it to win it!!!!

Story
Hi! My name is Spike and I'm a really snuggly boy. Let me tell you a few of my favorite things: pets, snuggles, and some more love. I'm really good at matching the energy of the house. If you want to hang out and snuggle, I love that idea. If you want to go for a run or walk, I'd be happy to trot beside you. We're working on my leash skills because sometimes I want to smell something and I don't always warn my foster mom before pulling her with me. But most of the time, I'm a good walking partner. I've never had an accident in the house, so don't worry about that. And I really enjoy playing fetch with my toddler humans. They love to give me kisses and hugs and I love to kiss them back. I do miss my family when they leave the house, but I'm working on enjoying my crate more while they're gone. It's just a little boring for me. I get along well with the pug in my foster home, although I would do well as an only dog too. I'd love to join your family and make lots of fun memories with you.

Story
Hello, my name is Kyra! I’m an 8 year old Great Dane weighing about 100 pounds. I know I’m a little older, but don’t let that fool you, I’m full of energy, healthy, and love to go on walks. I’m very friendly with everyone, cats, kids, dogs, and even a pig! I know sit, speak, shake, and stay. I walk great on a leash. I am fully potty trained and will tell you when I need to go. I prefer to have my own space when I eat, and I don't like sharing my kennel as it's my safe space. Overall I'm the best girl though and I’d love a home and family to spend the rest of my golden years with.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

Story
Maple is an amazing three year old anatolian shepherd mix who loves spending time with kids cats and other large dogs. She's very loving house trained (doggy door), regular at dog parks sleeps inside with my daughter. Has an all around easy going personalityI. And is a wonderful dog. She unfortunately has a very strong prey drive which leads her to chasing squirrels. Rabbits and unfortunately small loud dogs that she's not used to being around. She has bit another (small loud) dog when she was out on a walk woth my young daughter, and since there are about a half dozen of them in the surrounding neighborhood, she will need a new home. She has never been aggressive to humans, or our cata or other dogs.

We adopted Drogen from a military family that was not able to keep him due to moving overseas. He is 6 years old and a big teddy bear. He is friendly and gets along with other animals. We want him to go to a loving family that will cherish him and give him the attention he needs. Drogen is shy at first, but he is so playful once he gets to know a person. He is smart, can do commends like sitting and give me paw. He is great with children and lets our 5-year-old walk him. Please contact me if you want like to meet Drogen, we want to find the perfect fit. Thank you!
