Story
Mando is a big ol’ cuddle bug! He LOVES lovin’s. He loves people, kids, walks, toys, cuddles, and kisses. Mando was found at a home as a 5 month old puppy on a chain with no food or water. The owner was approached and eventually surrendered him. This poor boy is now 10 months old and has lived in a shelter his entire life. Mando would thrive in a home and deserves one of his very own. He is wonderful with other dogs and is untested with cats. Mando is a 10 month old male Dane mix who is approximately 60 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Mando is a big boy and still puppy playful, so he may be too much for small children. Fence required. This furbaby is located at Animal Harbor in southern middle TN. You can apply at www.animalharbor.org. If approved, we will facilitate a virtual meet and greet and answer any questions you may have. We partner with the awesome transport service company Rescue Riders to safely and professionally move our animals to their loving new homes!

Story
Damon is now a whopping 70 lbs and fully vetted! He is housebroken, and will go to the backdoor to tell you he needs to potty. He is also crate trained and sleeps through the night. He has been getting professional training and is doing so well. He is learning to trust new people and did great at adoption. Damon is super happy when he meets other dogs and would do well in a multi dog home.  He has a lot of puppy energy, but he more than makes up for it with love. He has a lot of love to give, and will make someone very happy.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org April 29, 2024, 12:35 pm

Story
Meet our lovely Blondie! She is a 4- year-old Great Dane mix who weighs about 60 pounds. Blondie is extraordinarily resilient and has a special rescue story, which we encourage you to read at https://www.crossingpathsanimalrescue.org/rescue-stories/blondie-and-her-litter. She was picked up by animal control while nursing her 10 puppies. Such a devoted mother, she nursed the pups while she was just skin and bones. Since coming to rescue, Blondie has grown to a more ideal weight! She was quick to show her foster how smart she is by responding to the commands “sit” and “shake!' She loves walking on leash but will need a strong hand to guide her. Blondie loves all sizes of other dogs; however, we are unsure of how she will respond to cats and children. (ME, 7/11/23)  **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption Fee/Transport Fee: $250.00  We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip . We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.    April 28, 2024, 11:37 pm

Story
Meet Keeley! This absolutely gorgeous noble-headed two year old Great Dane mix is 78 pounds of gentle affectionate sweetness. She loves all people, gets along with the resident dog, walks well on a lead, is house trained, potty trained and can totally be trusted uncrated in the house. She knows basic commands, sleeps happily through the night on her bed, and she LOVES car rides - also loves walks but is not super high energy. Keeley is "just perfect" according to foster mom - she is very personable and affectionate and would love a home with as much attention and love as she can get. Her puppies have found their forever families and it's Keeley's turn - she is SO ready for a family of her own. Apply now for this special girl! Keeley is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed when she has gained weight and is fully recovered from having puppies. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. Story
Hi! My name is Daisy, and I am three and a half years old with beautiful Brindle Myrle markings. I need a new home, the sooner the better. I need a home where I am the only dog. While I have grown up with male dogs, one older and one younger and might be okay sharing a home with another male dog, I cannot share my home with another girl dog. My heart is big, but sometimes I just a bit jealous of your love and attention! I am also a little nervous about transitioning to a new home. I am hoping the person that falls in love with me will understand big loveable Great Danes, and can help me feel comfortable being in a new place with new people. In exchange, you will be my everything and I will give you all my love and undivided attention. I am still young, bouncy, and energetic so playtime is important to me. If you toss treats to me, I can catch them in the air. I know my basic commands, like sit, stay, down and lie down. If you happen to have some Beggin Strips, I will do just about anything you ask! Currently, I am alone approximately 8 hours a day. I have a giant doggy door that allows me access to the outside. I have never been in a crate and I do know how to behave myself when left alone. In fact, when the weather is nice, I will often find a warm sunny spot outside to pass the time. I travel well and don’t mind being in the car. I’m also good around cats! I really need to find a new home. I hope you will consider me; I still have a long lifetime of love to share with you. If you are considering adopting me, please reach out and get more information about me. MAGDRL adopts to eastern NY, eastern PA, DE, WV, MD, NJ and VA only. Please visit our website: www.magdrl.org for adoption procedures and fencing policies.

Story
Tall Titan, is a strong and remarkable  Warrior, a dog that has fought to be alive and walking  today on this earth.  He has willed himself to come from the depths of pain and starvation to become this handsome boy that you see right now.  He is our Super Hero Pup and our example of a creature that has never given up even when it would have been easier to just go to sleep and never wake up.  When Titan came to a rescue lady’s house that Critter Cavalry knows, this boy was malnourished and just a skeleton of the puppy he should be as a Great Dane.  The lady has a love for the Danes and she asked CCR to please take him into our rescue before she fell in love and couldn’t let him go.  She had enough dogs and just felt the temptation to keep him was too great.  We agreed and soon Titan was ours to raise and get prepped for a new home and family.  Shortly afterwards his foster family noticed he was struggling to walk and his joints were inflamed. Titan was taken to several vets before receiving the diagnosis of  Hypertrophic osteodystrophy (HOD). He has been put on a regimen of medications, high calorie food and hydrotherapy and is now running, jumping and playing with other dogs. His favorite things to do are play with toys, run and nap in the sun. Titan is a large dog and will do best in a home with another large dog or two that he will be able to play with. He will continue to need medication intermittently for some time and to be followed by a veterinarian.  If you have large breed dog experience and are willing to take on this fellas special needs please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue. He is not house trained to hold longer than 4 hours.  He needs to eat separately at mealtimes and he needs to learn better how to play with his toys in a group setting if there are other dogs.  If he is the only dog then there is no special monitoring.  Titan rides like a champ in the car or truck and he is definitely crate trained with good dog/name recall.  He would be easier to watch in the yard if you had a real physical fence installed since he likes to wander off out of curiosity.   Please email Critter Cavalry at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is great with young children/boys that are rough and tumble and lots of noise. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 28, 2024, 4:57 pm
