IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Steve! - Steve is about 7 months old and weighs 51 lbs. We guess Steve is a Pitbull/Terrier Mix (Just a Guess as we have no idea on mom or dad). Steve is a happy, smart, playful and loving puppy. Steve already knows sit, lay down, shake, off, and back. He enjoys running and sniffing around the backyard and is also a big fan of squeaky toys. His favorite game is fetch. Steve is in a foster home with cats and does well with them. Steve follows his foster mom everywhere and is an expert at snuggling. Steve is house and crate trained. If you are looking for a happy go lucky addition to your family, Steve is your pup. Because he is still a puppy, he will require an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue his/her training—no exceptions. Steve is neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
A gentle giant with a goofy streak and a heart as big as his paws. Max is a stunning 2-year-old blue Great Dane who perfectly captures the classic Dane personality — affectionate, sweet, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s a true love-bug who believes leaning against you counts as quality bonding time. Like many young Danes, Max still has a playful side and occasionally breaks into the kind of joyful zoomies that only a giant dog can manage. Once the silliness passes, he’s just as happy lounging nearby and embracing his inner couch potato. Max is great with other dogs and very friendly with people. We’re not yet sure how he feels about cats. He will benefit from some basic obedience training, but he’s eager to please and very willing to learn. He’s been doing well with house training and sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight with a little treat encouragement. Max is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, and once that’s complete and he settles into his forever home, he’s expected to thrive. He doesn’t need a perfect home — just a loving one ready for a loyal, affectionate giant. Quick facts: • 2 years old • Blue Great Dane • Affectionate, playful, and loyal • Good with other dogs • Crate trained • Doing well with house training • Smart, trainable young dog • Currently receiving heartworm treatment The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Phoebe – Gentle, Resilient, and Learning to Shine Phoebe’s story is one of quiet strength and second chances. This 1½-year-old beauty came to MAGDRL in rough shape after being severely underweight and neglected, but her gentle heart never faltered. From the moment she arrived, Phoebe has shown herself to be sweet, curious, and eager to please. Phoebe has been adjusting well in her foster home and has been opening up to her true loving playful personality. She loves her toys and always keeps one with her wherever she moves through the house. Phoebe loves learning and working on her training commands, she gets super excited when she sees her leash come out and her cheese being cut up and prepped. She still loves to cuddle when given the opportunity, but she has also started to feel more comfortable being independent and spending time laying by herself or finding somewhere the sun is coming in the window so she can nap. She is very interested in the outside world but is still nervous and timid outside. She loves to watch the neighborhood kids and dogs walk by from her window by the couch. As the weather gets nicer, she is becoming more interested in hanging outside and laying in the sun. She gets into her zoomies mode outside every now and then loves to sprint full speed around the yard and jump around with a ball. Phoebe needs a home that will continue to socialize her and help her build more confidence. She is so loving and would love a forever home, could that be you? Phoebe will make a wonderful companion for an active home where she can continue learning about the joys of indoor life and being loved. Phoebe is ready to meet her forever family! Story
Meet Tex – Your Perfect Laid-Back Companion 🐾 Tex is an 8-year-old gentleman with a calm, easygoing personality who is now under the care of MAGDRL. He is currently being boarded while we search for a loving foster or forever home where he can enjoy the comfort he deserves. Tex has a true “old soul” demeanor. He lives for affection and will happily soak up pets for as long as you’re willing to give them. His favorite place is near an open window where he can bask in the sunshine and relax the day away. While he’s not overly playful, he does enjoy the occasional burst of zoomies that show off his fun side. He ignores other dogs, does well in a kennel environment, and is comfortable with non-dominant male dogs. Tex previously lived peacefully with a 9-year-old female Mastiff mix. He is crate trained, though he hasn’t needed a crate in years, and he does not have separation anxiety—making him an easy addition to a home. Tex is now in a foster home in NJ and is doing great with his Dane foster sister. Tex is a sweet senior boy who just wants to be loved and cuddled, a wonderful companion for a quiet home. He will do best with female dogs. Tex is trustworthy in the house, does great in the car or on a leash. He is crate trained but has proven he doesn't need to be crated if left unsupervised. Tex is such a gentle old soul, if you want to give a senior a place to live out their golden years, Tex is the boy for you!. If interested, Please contact Chelsea at chelsea9049@yahoo.com. Tex is located in Prince William County, VA Please include your home area code and a phone number where a volunteer can reach you when contacting us about an adoption.
