Story
Goliath-Great Dane male Brindle puppy, ~ 11 mo. (April 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Goliath came to rescue due a tough family situation. He had been taken in by a Veterinary family a few months back as his original home could not take care of him. At the Vet home, he was living with teens and a few small dogs that 'run the show', and have taught him good dog language skills. Then medical issues came up in the humans and there just wasn't time to give Goliath, a growing puppy who needed love and attention. They asked us to help him find a home that could give him that. He's a big boy, full of fun and love, just looking for the right home and family. Goliath's adoption fee is $500 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Please include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Sprout-Great Dane female, ~ 1 yr. (May 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Sprout was brought to her home as a puppy and has done well there with the family (including children), other dogs, cats and large livestock, like horses and cows. Story
Hi, my name is Ambassador — aka the Ambassador of Air AND Water!I’m a big, silly puppy with a heart as wide as my zoomies. When I first arrived at the shelter, I had a bit of emotional baggage. My friends here called me a Nervous Nelly, but with some love, patience, and lots of treats, I’ve started to blossom. These days, I’m a total social butterfly — I greet everyone with my signature wiggle and enthusiasm! And can we talk about water?! Whether it’s a sprinkler, hose, or even a splashy puddle, I’m all in. I love to play in running water — it’s one of my favorite things, right up there with toys, snacks, and, well...you.I’ve got some serious hops (LeBron, watch out!) and a goofy charm that makes everyone smile. I’m super food-motivated, which means training with me will be both fun and rewarding. So if you`re looking for a loyal adventure buddy with a zest for life and a splash of silliness, come meet me. I promise you’ll never be bored again! Did we mention that he really LOVES running water? More photos/video of this wonderful pup can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/AdoptableAmbassador

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.Dolly has large Great Dane genes grafted onto a somewhat smaller body. Not that anyone would ever call her small, but you would say she's a manageable size, which is perfect. If you love the Dane look, but aren't sure you could handle a full size model, we have Dolly waiting for you. She is currently only 60 lbs., but that is a bit deceiving, as she is very underweight. We would like to see at least 15 lbs. more on her ribs and we are working on it. She is now getting top quality groceries, something she has never had before. Still a young dog, at only about 2 years old, she is in the process of learning about how to deal with the world around her and she is learning fast. Her foster has some comments to help you understand this 'dog-in-progress. 'She’s nervous around new people and things. She does warm up after a bit. Her initial reaction to people that she doesn’t know is to low growl. She is trying to tell everyone to give her a moment to process the new information. I don’t recommend a house with cats or small animals. She’ tries to chase down all the birds,  and squirrels when we’re outside. I’m fairly confident her life prior to rescue wasn’t a good one. It's heartbreaking seeing a good dog trying to cope with a world she was never shown. UPDATE:I have had her for a month now, and she is learning! I took her to the vet today, and while she was nervous, she did not growl. So there has been improvement on that aspect. She wasn’t super outgoing and wanting everyone’s attention, so definitely stand by the slower to warm up to strangers. I highly suspect she’s been abused. She is highly intelligent and learns new things really fast.  She really has the potential to be an excellent dog, and wants to be loved and please her person. MORE UPDATE: Since being here at my house over a month now I have some new insights into her. She is not dog friendly with all dogs.  She's OK with my male dog, but not so happy with my female.  I've been working on getting her to ignore people on walks and she's doing better. She doesn't like it if strangers get to close when we are out.  In the yard. she's definitely going to need at least a 6 foot fence to keep her safely secured.  I will say, she is house trained and does let you know when she needs to go out. She also does very well in her kennel. She is very smart, and can learn things pretty quickly. She has all her shots and is ready and waiting for the person or family who like bigger dogs, but aren't ready for an actual Goliath. Dolly is a good girl! She is hoping you will want to help her be a good dog and come for her soon.   If you are interested in Dolly, please fill out an application at: https://reachoutrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4588    Or contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com   *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 31, 2026, 11:31 am

Story
Location: Baltimore, MD Maggie is an incredibly smart girl who is always ready for her next adventure. She loves people and thrives on human companionship. While she may take a few minutes to warm up to someone new, once she does, she’s all about snuggles, pets, and plenty of kisses. This girl is food motivated and eager to learn, making her a great candidate for continued training. She is already crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on a leash, giving her a strong foundation for success in her forever home. Maggie loves to run, play, and stay active. Whether she’s zooming around the yard, exploring on walks, or engaging her brain with training and enrichment activities, she’s happiest when she has an outlet for her energy and intelligence. Maggie could excel as a working dog, farm dog, or active companion for someone looking for a partner in adventure. If you’re looking for a smart, fun, and loving dog to share life’s adventures with, Maggie may be the perfect match!
